Hallo,
I have had a very busy 3 days at work but I can sleep in tomorrow so I am playing on the computer for awhile. These are the last of my pics from Creative Pallete in St. Mary's Georgia. This was a class I took with powder Keg Embossing Powders - They have color stacks of embossing powders that blend together and layer beautifully - that is what we used to create this book with the butterfly.
The embossing powders work great on clay too!!!
The second photo is a close up of the cover and the butterfly. The third photo is Janelle - owner of Powder Keg (along with her DH). It was a great class - I bought some of their stuff last year and of course more this year. They also taught a class on using these embossing powders to make jewerly pieces. And the new thing this year is a new line of GLITTER - and the colors all match the embossing powders !!!And they are WOW!!!! Yes I bought some glitter too! Now all I need is more time to play with all this great stuff. http://www.powderkegembossingpowders.com
I may get some stamping done tomorrow but my
project for the day is to 'pretty up' a file cabinet the DH found for me - its a 4 drawer and it was FREE and no dents or anything - but drab gray just will not work for MY craft room - Purple spray paint should do the trick and then some stamps....can you say Altered file cabinet. I also had a "Brilliant" (from the beer commercial) moment - I needed something better to store my Nestabilities sooo - I have some strips of magnetic tape - I figure they can go on the side of the file cabinet and then they will be in easy reach - we'll see how it all turns out tomorrow.
All for now

The last photo is of Karen from Alexstamping http://alexstamping.com/ - great scenery stamps and she teaches really great classes too. I have quite alot of PURPLE rubber in my stash . Their stamps are high quality and as you may have guessed its purple rubber!!!!
All for now - the kids are home and I have to put on the referee shirt and get my whistle out....

More Creative Pallete
Hallo,
A little late posting today - got a little cleaning done today but no stamping .
But I have more pics from Creative Pallete.
First are 2 pics of the bracelet from yesterdays set - made in one of my classes with the Obertins from Rubber Nature Art stamps.
The next photo is a group of stampers taking a break from the shopping on saturday. One of the really nice things about Creative Palette is that instead of a convention hall the booths are set up in alot of the shops on main street in St. Mary's - great way to get to see this great historic town.
And the last photo is from our Demo Dinner night - we have dinner, then venders come to our table and demo stuff for us. And this is of course the Bright and Beautiful Dee Gruenig from Sunday International . She (and her Hubby) is just the sweetest!!!!
All for tonight

Creative Palette - Jennifer Obertin
Hallo,
I got back from Creative Palette yesterday evening - its about a 5 1/2 hour drive from us. Creative Palette is a Stamping/Clay/Jewerly/Altered Art/Scrap convention so it has a little something for everyone. 4 of my 5 classes were with the Obertins from Rubber Nature Art Stamps/Somethings Fishy Rubber stamps. http://www.rubbernature.com
This first picture is Jennifer - not pictured is Sandy (Mom) and 'Mr. O' (Dad). Jennifer designs Somethings Fishy Rubber stamps. I love taking classes with these folks - very creative and very friendly - my head justs bursts with ideas from their classes. I took most of my classes last year with them also - well worth every penny!!!
The second picture is from one of my classes, and includes my Chief Enabler - Pat (in the white stripe shirt) and fellow enablee Fran (purple shirt).
The last 2 photos are 2 pieces from one of my classes with the Obertins - the Faux Closienne class. I will show you the bracelet that goes with these tomorrow. These pieces are done using Direct to paper with bright color inks and then stamped over the whole piece with black ink. Next we cut the piece into thin strips and arranged them on sticker paper with a small space between strips - then I used black embossing powder in the spaces and embossed it. You could stop there and cut the small pieces to lay on the jewerly findings but I chose to cut the piece into thin strips again, layer on sticker paper and then emboss again, only this time in silver. Then I cut pieces off the main piece to fit the finding for the earrings, pendant and bracelet and glued them down with Diamond glaze - last but not least you find some Bling, put a layer of Diamond glaze on top and I add the chrystals. The diamond glaze takes several hours to dry, but dries clear and smooth.
I am glad I took alot of pics at the convention because with the stuff I bought on top of the mess I left in my craft room it may be a day or 2 before I can make room/clean enough to accually DO some crafting!!! I also need to do some yard work (we got about 8 inches of rain in from wed to sat am here at home), and I need to get some house work done too. Yard work is much more fun - especially this time of year - I cut 4 Daffodils and 1 Iris to bring in the house today :)
All for now - more Convention pics tomorrow.

Bella ATC's
Hallo,
Didn't get too much time at the craft table today - had 2 swaps to finish off to send today (show ya later) and then did 5 more ATC's for Creative Palette this week. last year at the Creative Palette ATC trade they challenged us to make ATC's with the napkins for next year - a little last minute but here's mine.
The back round is the napkin from last year and layered on top is one of my Bella stamps - I paper pieced her clothes on all 5 and layered them over the top of one that I stamped and colored - added some sparkley brads for some extra bling.
The girls and I leave tomorrow am to drive to St. Mary's Georgia - it is about 6 hrs. but we may have to make some thrift shop stops on the way and probably a Stamp store or 2 in the Jacksonville FL. area. Thursday and Friday we have classes along with a Dinner event, a Make and Take night and then the stamp convention is saturday with the ATC trade that evening . Therefore you won't see me again until next monday. Will try to take more pictures this year - I was slackin big time last year.
Take Care and Have a good week

Beate's weekend challenge
Hallo,
Not only did I not like the photo's I took of yesterdays cards but when I saw them this am I didn't like the way they looked either - so I tweaked them a little. The third photo shows one of yesterdays right next to todays revision.
I did this card for Beate's weekend challenge http://beate.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com and I was really liked the SU color challenge a couple weeks ago with gray and yellow so I tried that too.
All 4 of the cards were done with the Magenta stamp that I have been obsessing on lately along with my new birdie stamp from Inkadinkado, and a word stamp from Stampin Up (grateful).
This first photo I colored her hair blond to match the yellow of the cardstock and her eyes green. The birdie is embossed with Weathered wood distress embossing powder from Ranger.
In the second photo I colored her hair and eyes brown and shifted the sentiment to the bottom.
The third photo is yesterdays attempt on the left and todays on the right. With yesterdays I stamped the girl in Weathered wood distress ink on gray paper and for todays I stamped with the same ink on white paper - which really makes the image so much cleaner and defined. For todays I used a paler yellow and a thiner layer for the center part and then added another layer under the light gray layer. In addition I stamped the phrase on white and layered it on gray and yellow to match the main image - and did a little 'distressin' on both the light gray and base cardstock. The girl in this third photo has blue eyes. The girls are colored with chalks and prismacolors.
All for today

Spring in Florida
Hallo,
I did get a couple cards done today but lost daylight and didn't get good pictures so I will retake the pics tomorrow afternoon and show you then. Even with my desktop Otlite I just don't get good pictures in the house .....I need to get another one and have 2 but don't have the $$$ right now...
I managed to get some yard work done today - I put together the last of the arbor type things for my Clementis and Passion flowers to climb on - I now have 3 of them (one from last year).
I took a couple pics while I was outside - my red maple off the screen porch is budding little pinkish red buds. The second picture is our faithful mutt 'Husker' who was laying on the lawn (such as it is right now) getting some sun.
He's looking at me like - "Aren't you ready to play yet?"
All for tonight.

I just noticed that my visitor counter passed 1000 today - wooohoo - Hi everyone - I'm not alone, I'm not alone :) hee hee . Thanks for lookin' !!!

2 more redwork & ATC's
Hallo,
More redwork cards - but they should be the last of them - although I do have a couple more ideas for this stamp from Magenta before I move on to other stamps :). Also used on this and the next card is some flourished from Inkadinkado. This one is stamped in Purely Pomegranete from SU - the girl is layered on cardstock to match the ink - shade darker and both layers are edged in gold krylon. I traced around the flourishes with a gold metallic pen also (hard to see in the photo). And I added a few sparkles to top it off. One of the ATC's in the 4th photo is done the same as this card - the middle one.
The second card uses same stamps and design only with black - the girl is layered in black and the flourishes are embossed in black , and edged in gold. In the ATc photo the one on the right is the same as this second card.
The last ATC is done with black the same as the second card only on the paper that is a shade darker than the Purely Pomegranete ink from the first card. The color of the cardstock doesn't show up very well but you can see the gold around the flourishes better...
All for now - I work tomorrow again but should have some TK swap cards to show you - I stocked up on things to post so I could still show ya stuff when I can't stamp :)

Jen's sketch and ATC's
Hallo,
I managed to get some good stampin time today - did about 24 ATC's but can only show you 2 (the rest are for a swap that I am in) and a couple cards.
I did this card for Jen's sketch http://www.iheart2stamp.com/
Both the card and the ATC's were done with Purely Pomegranete ink from Stampin Up - the card also uses 2 stamps from Stampin Up and the Magenta stamp that I have been fixiated on lately. The girl is edged in gold krylon.
The second photo is a close up of the card.
The third photo shows the 2 ATC's I made along the same theme. They use the Magenta stamp and the rose is from Inkadinkado. The girl and the ATC's are both edged in gold krylon.
If you like these, stop in again tomorrow as I have 2 more sketches to try with these same stamps/colors - kinda a study in sketches I guess :)....
I took my pics outside again today but quickly lost good daylight to the clouds and rain coming in - got them just in time. I had a parent volunteer meeting at the Middle school to plan the Annual 6th grade Medieval Festival and it started raining while I was in the meeting.
Well I had better get rollin - I still have a couple things on todays task list to get done ( I accually did some cleaning today!!! :)....
