Yoga skellie pumpkin

 Hallo,
Preposting this for you to see today since I have to be to work early this am....
I did this for the pumpkin decorating contest at my local Arts Centers Halloween party, which was last night (sadly it didn't win...)
I took a turquoise hard foam pumpkin and decorated it with zentangle and then added some cobwebs in white. I found this great yoga skellie at JoAnns and added some shading with copic markers and the black cat is a wood cut out that I painted black and then used some silver webbing spray on.
I had fun with this one and he is going to be in my Halloween decorations box for many years.
The party was loads of fun - I dressed up as Frida Kahlo - my daughters comment was "Oh good, you found a costume to go with your eyebrow" - cheeky kid - pic at the bottom of the post.....I am the Frida on the right, there were 2 of us Fridas…...

Baby Boy gift box set

 Hallo,
A quick post this evening as I am winding down for the night. I finished off this baby box set for a coworker today.
I covered a wooden box from JoAnn's in pretty papers - boy style and did the memory book and card to match.
I have one more box in the works and then I may have to take a break and get my Christmas cards done, and tomorrow I will show you the last of my Halloween projects.

The weather here in NW Florida has been absolutely AWESOME!!!!!
I love the cool weather!!
I pulled weeds today for about 2 hours and only have a little bit to go to get my flowers beds all caught up on the weeding from my lack of weeding over the summer.
Its been a bit of a challenge to do yard work as I am back to using a cane - I am getting my left knee replaced in January and it has been pestering me a lot lately(If I use the cane I don't limp as much, and if I can keep from limping my hip and back don't ache as much.....) And to top it off I jammed the big toe on my right foot yesterday and it is pretty swollen and bruised. And Yes Klutz is my middle name.....

Another baby gift set...

Hallo,
Back with another baby gift set - box, memory book and card that I made for a coworker.
I used an image I found on Etsy from 'pattiescreations' and colored it with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I don't do black skin tones very often so its not perfect but I liked how it turned out!.
I have 2 more baby boxes in the works - both boy themed so should see them soon. Also will have a day in the studio on Saturday and hope to accomplish something there too.

I am really enjoying the cooler weather here in NW Florida - hope it stays around awhile!!!
All for now - as the saying goes, I didn't win the lottery so back to work I go....

Mummy cards

Hallo,
Just a couple quick scrappy cards for you today, no stamping involved and no digital images, no coloring either....imagine that.
Pretty Halloween papers and some embellishments from last years stash makes a couple very quick cards.
Not much new here - a bit cooler the last couple days which I really love - will need to get some yard work done this weekend before the cool front passes and we get hot again(the story of fall in florida…)

Coffin treat boxes

Hallo,
A break from Halloween cards today - showing you some treat boxes that I am sending to my daughter (in Germany), my son-in-law (headed to Korea) and my Niece and Nephew from Colorado(just because).
These coffin shaped boxes started out plain and I painted 2 black and 2 red and then used some silver webbing spray on them - found the can in my stash and its pretty old so didn't get much 'web' out of it but it looks kinda cool anyhow.
Added some skeletons, skulls, 3D pictures, covered the inside of the boxes with Halloween papers, oh and some funky eyeballs that I found last year after Halloween.
Well time to Halloween up my house a bit and maybe get in the pool and take advantage of the hot weather.

Pirate cards

Hallo,
A couple batches of Pirate themed Halloween cards today. I found the cool xray embellishments at Michaels for 50 % of, plus a 20 % coupon so I was pretty happy.
I am not sure who the pirate skelly head is from as its been used a lot and the name is worn off - might be Stamps Happen …..
One of my goals for 2019 is to send out more cards - and I am getting a bit of a head start. I love Halloween and haven't even decorated my house yet...sad I know...but the hubby is out of town this weekend so maybe I will get to it tomorrow afternoon. Today I am taking a watercolor class at the local Art center (ADSO) and then hanging out at the gallery for Artist Day - HH ARTS.
All for now - more Halloween cards coming....

Its...another baby box...boy style

Hallo,
Giving you a break from Halloween cards for today. Another of the many baby gift box sets I have been making lately. A lot of babies coming in my little corner of the world lately.
The image is from 'A Day for Daisies' printed onto cryogen white cardstock and colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I  decorate a box - old cigar box, plain wood or sturdy cardboard from the craft store  - whatever I can find big enough, and then make a matching card and memory book for inside.
   All for today. Take Care

Pumpkin cards

Hallo,
Well life at my house is back to normal(as normal as it gets anyhow). I was back to work and so is my son. Husband already had some vacation time scheduled as he is going to Talladega for the race this weekend. And the weather is back to being hot, but slightly less humid.....would love a bit of cooler weather.
More Halloween cards for you today. This image is a digital and sorry to say I didn't have it labeled so I don't know who its made by. Fun to color though.
I was hoping to use up all my Halloween stash making cards but I think I might just need to get some Christmas and maybe Thanksgiving cards made too so will finish the few more I have started and go on to other stuff. Although you will have about 4/5 more days of Halloween card post before you see the change :)
All for today - going to pack up a couple boxes for my daughter and son-in-law and hopefully get them sent today.....

3D halloween cards - batch #2

Hallo,
Kinda amazing that this hurricane as of last sunday afternoon was only sposed to  get to a CAT 1  and here it is as a CAT 4 -just goes to show you have to be prepared and keep watching. Lucky for us this storm is going about 70 miles east of us so even though we will have a bunch of rain and a bit of wind we should be fine!!! We would ride out a CAT 3 here where we live but by the time this storm went to 4 it would have been to late to get out - would rather be at home than trapped on the road.
Keep Panama City FL. in your thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come!!!!

Batch 2 of the 3D Halloween cards for you today. I had the 3D fold all cut out from last year so putting them together was fairly quick and fun. I will be doing some more today, as well as a couple small Halloween decorations to put together and send my daughter in Germany and hopefully to my son-in-law in Korea(if I get an address in time )

3D Halloween cards - batch #1

Hallo,
Well no rain yet, other that a few sprinkles when I decided to go outside and spray paint some stuff....Thanks to Michael(hurricane that is) and working at the base hospital which closes down for hurricanes, I am off work today and tomorrow, and I was off yesterday thanks to Columbus day too. Got most of the house cleaned yesterday because I had errands to run today before work.....but now no work and no errands because everything is shut down, sooo I am in the craft room making Halloween cards. (OK so I did dishes and a couple loads of laundry too...)
I used a die cut from Accu cut that was designed by a friend of mine - Vickie Chrisman for these 3D cards. Now I will have to admit I had a BUNCH of these cut out from last year that I never got made up, as well as a BUNCH of cool Halloween embellishments that I got after Halloween last year for 70% off -  so more than half the work was already  done for me.
I did color up some digital images from Rick St.Dennis to put on the cards but that was a matter of just a couple nights this last weekend on the couch - if I am not coloring while watching TV then I am working on a locker hook rug or some other project.
Some of the stickers you can't see to well in the photo but they are 3D skeleton stickers - the ones that change from a person to a skeleton when you tilt it a bit.
Well that's all for me today -  tomorrow will be windy and rainy and who knows if we will have power. Michael is sposed to go just east of us but that can all change in a matter of hours . We have all the yard stuff secured, and even though they are a routine (even after living here for more than 20 years) hurricanes are stuff we are well used to preparing for, not our first and I am sure not our last storm.
Take Care and maybe I will post the second batch tomorrow.

Steampunk universe - 2

Hallo,
As promised here is the second of the art pieces I had made into decals for my car.
As with the first I used pen and ink for the space/steampunk/zentangle and colored it with copic markers.
I also colored the background on this one with copics and then added the stars in with white ink.
The art piece itself has already sold but I did put both pieces up on my Redbubble site - www.redbubble .com - and my user name is 'TeraFujan'
I really love how these turned out, my little car is looking pretty funky (complete with car seats with a bright colorful space nebula printed on them :)

Steampunk Universe - 1

Hallo,
Well I started this project when I was planning on getting a new car. I thought it would be fun to do up an art piece to put on my car as a decal, just for fun.
I ended up doing 2 , one for each side. Really didn't cost much either, makes finding my gray car in the parking lot a bit easier.
I started with pen and ink on heavy cardstock - a steampunk/outer space kinda theme and then colored in the 'planets' with copic markers.
In this one I was going for a bit of color with a space nebula style background that I painted in with watercolors.
Lastly I added some white ink for the galaxies' and stars.
The I took it down to  a sign place here in town - Armadillo signs - and they made it into a decal for me. So cool and fun - my daughter says I am a nerd.....yup I am, and proud of it!!!
All for today - will show you the one on the other side tomorrow.
