C130 Mosaic

Hallo,
WELL has this been a crazy month or what!!!!!
As all this Covid stuff was starting the hubby and I were loading up a POD for a 3 week house renovation, so it has been more than crazy at my house. I am a Nurse so of course am still working - in a small area of NW Florida and not too bad here yet. I work at the military hospital so we are prepared as much as we can be and all I can do is watch and wait. I have family in Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Colorado, California and here in Florida - and friends all over the states and the world. Family is all good and staying safe and have been in touch with many ,many friends and so far so good.
Fortunately my studio isnt at my house and I can get out of the way of the construction crew without risking myself or others. My friend who owns the gallery where my studio is, closed up shop until this gets better. I can go work anytime and have been working on this mosaic.
Our local Arts and Design Society has a show coming up this summer with the theme 'C130' - it is a big anniversary for this military plane and so I decided to try out my newest hobby/addiction and do a big piece with an airplane in it. The bottom 'beach' portion is made of seashell pieces and the rest will be stained glass. It is about 16 by 20 inch size and so far I have about 37 hours of work into it with the above picture.
Adding a bunch of pics of my progress along the way up to the point where I left off this morning before work(above picture) - there will be another post down the road as I get it finished.
All for today - Take Care - Stay home if you dont need to go out and keep Prayers going for all those sick, all those helping to take care of those sick and all those helping to keep this country running!!!!
   God Bless!!!!

Large pair - first layers

 Hallo,
Finished off these 2 paintings this weekend in my studio. the first pic is them side by side of course - second one is the left painting and third pic is the right painting.
I am liking how they turned out!!! I had some thoughts about leaving well enough alone at the point of the second to last picture as I really like them at that point .....but they seemed to need just a bit more of something.
After the first 3 pics I have a bunch of photos of my process along the way - by no means is there a photo for every step or layer, especially once I started adding color - at that point there is probably about 4 to 6 layers for each photo.....
And the last photo is again the finished pair...
    Have a great day!!!
