I love fall and the leaves, the crisp air - nothing better than a walk in the woods in fall!!!
8 by 10 inch encaustic painting. The background was done with brushes but the trees, leaves and foreground are all done with a hot pen stylus.

Still feeling monochromatic more or less with this bright red and orange painting. Mountains and a few trees again, the sun catching the morning mist as it rises over the mountain tops.....

I havent been as productive in the studio lately as I would like - that thing called 'work/job/paying the bills' keeps getting in the way of my art. But I do have a couple to show you over the next couple days.
This one is 16 by 20 - encaustic wax.
I was trying for another monochromatic type painting only using blues this time.
Kind of reminds me of the Blue Ridge mountains - a misty dawnish time of day.

A quick stop in this am to show you another painting I finished off this week.
I am not always very good at cool tones and minimal color but have always love the way it looks! And I am very happy with how this one turned out.
The photo is of the windmill at my Mom and Step-Dads place and I added alot of texture and just generally had alot of fun with this one!!!
The painting is 12 inches wide by 36 inches tall.

I havent posted anything in awhile as it has been a busy month or so.
I took my art to a craft show in Tallahassee Florida the first weekend in December - was a 'learning experience is all I can say about that....
I have been able to do some painting here and there and this one I recently finished and will be entered in a show in Pensacola next week.
20 High by 16 wide encaustic wax with rust patinas and oil sticks.
Alot of texture on this painting, am loving the rusted metal techniques I found to play with.
