Another in the current series I am working on - more 'marsh' than ocean this time, kinda like the marshy areas around Savannah GA.
The first Picture is the finished painting.
Encaustic with layers alternating between shellac and pigment burns with pan pastels and occasionally an oil stick layer in there too.
I did most of the grasses and grass texture with a hot pen and a fine tip.
The second picture starts with the progression of the painting - probably has about 7 to 10 layers at this point. And then the pictures progress as you scroll down, and the last picture is almost finished.
