TJ swap cards

Hallo,
Nothing of my own to post today - several projects in works that I will have to finish on friday - I work the next 2 days so won't get much done other than a little cutting and coloring on the couch :).
But I got a package of goodies in the mail today - These beautiful creations are from a swap with the Technique Junkies group - every other month with the newest issue of TJ newsletter we do a swap - the only rule is to use a technique from the current issue and with so much good stuff to chose from sometimes its hard to decide which technique to do!!!
I will have 2 more photos tomorrow as Picassa will only let me post 4 pics at a time so stayed tuned, same bat station, same bat time (approximatly :). I should have some stuff of my own to show you friday and the weekend (I work this weekend but should finish multiple projects on friday if I am lucky....)

All for now - gotta get da food on da table, I has hungry youngin's...

TechnoBohobutterflys

Hallo,
How about that for a tittle - say that fast 3 times ...
Playing with my cuttlebug, a sketch from Technostamper, and Boho Blossums from MFT. http://www.mftstamps.comFirst I used one of the stamps to make a patterned paper in pinks, black and white.
Then ran those through the cuttlebug to cut and then emboss the butterflys. Then I took my black ink pad and lightly rubbed over the embossed portions to make them stand out.
I used the Monday Lunchtime sketch from Technostamperhttp://www.technostamper.blogspot.com with some scraps of DP and some pink rhinestones.
That's all for me today as I am past my bedtime - gotta work tomorrow - poor me, after 11 days off, now I gotta go back to work....need the paycheck cause I have a sneakin suspission that I may need to spend some $$ at Gina K's site before the month is over - I am waiting to see what comes with the new releases this month....
I saved a card to show ya tomorrow but then I probably won't get back to blogging until the weekend....

Jen's Sketch - party invite

Hallo,
Quick post as I need to do some house cleaning - DD is still working on putting her room back together so should be able to get to the floor today to clean. Didn't get much stamping time this weekend - enough for 4 party invites for DS's birthday get together next weekend. of course I had to try a couple different versions - colorwise....
All 4 cards use a backrounder from CHF - wood grain and I am not sure where the Huskie is from as it is very old but my guess would be Mostly Animals or Good Stamps - Stamp Goods. I colored the Huskie with my prismacolor pencils.
These cards were done using Jen's sketch http://www.iheart2stamp.com/
Hope to clean fast and get some time to stamp today so ttfn...

CPS # 58 - Patterened Rose - Tagged

Hallo,

One Card to show you today - The rose stamp (Stampin Up) was stamped one on plain creamy beige paper and one onto the same paper after I stamped on it with a backround stamp from CHF (victorian pattern). I then cut out the rose and popped them up on top of the plain image. The plain image was lightly colored with prismacolor pencils. and I then did some faux stitching around the main panel. The corners were cut with my cuttlebug from the paper stamped with the backround stamp. last but not least layered the main panel on top of a pink ribbon fixed to a green base card and I added 3 buttons.

This card is my try for this weeks CPS # 58 .

Done Painting!!!!!

Hallo,
Another noncraftin day but the DD's room is painted and done - DH is putting on the quaterround as I type - one more sweep up and maybe a touch up and its time to move all the STUFF back in!!!! Today we put 2 coats on both the closet doors and her bedroom door and put a second coat on the lower half of the room (lots of brown today) . This afternoon while I painted doors and quaterround DD designed her back wall - she taped them up free hand so they aren't perfectly straight but she says she wanted it that way - "art isn't perfect" - gotta love it!!!
She has a small area rug for her room with all these colors in it too.
Won't get any stampin done tomorrow either as I am taking the kids to the Science center in Mobile for a really good exhibit (kinda a tradition for us on spring break - we have hit the last 3 years running).
All for tonight

painting

Hallo,
No stamping today :( - Been doing alot of painting, redoing my DD's room. We have as of the end of our painting session today gotten 2 coats of the teal done and one coat of the brown. We put 5 coats of magnetic paint on one of her closet doors also. Today was a short painting day as I had scheduled the kids and I for haircuts and they left an hour ago to go to the local go cart/arcade place with the neighbor girls....
The second photo shows the closet - the doors will both be brown aslo - and then we will paint a calender on one of the doors. The 2 side walls are done - paint wise - they will have pictures and shelves(after another coat of brown) but the back wall is going to be a little more "artsy"
The back wall is going to have squares and rectangles is several colors painted on it - light tourquoise, darker blue,
brown, moss green and a coral type color.
All for today - Going to see if I can round up the DH to go out to eat - WITHOUT THE KIDS!!!!!!
