Playing Dress Up

Hallo,
Just showing you a couple cards for Mondays Lunchtime sketch from Mary Jo at http://www.technostamper.blogspot.com/.
Once again using this great stamp from Magenta - I have had it for years but hadn't played with it much until lately - are you tired of it yet. In all reality I believe I am done for now so you should start seeing somenew stuff soon :).
For both cards I colored the girls like they had gotten a chance to play dress up with Mom's makeup and added pretty paper . The orange one I added a pair of gloves (CTMH - I believe) colored orange and added stickles for extra glitz.
For the second cards glitz I added a clear flower, then a yellow flower cut out from left over backround paper and then added a blue sparkley flower brad and popped it up on foam tape.
The third photo is a close up of the flower. Well all for tonight - gotta roll.

Spring Magnolias

Hallo all,
I haven't stamped since I did my file cabinet but I sure have been busy. My craft room was nearly declared a disater zone but its looking relatively good right now - I have been filling up the file cabinet - put all my scrap paper in files by color (general familys not one for each shade ect. ) and my Unmounteds that are too big for CD's are all in the file cabinet . The other 2 drawers are full of journals and other things waiting to be altered - along with most of my have of our bedroom closet and alot of the little coat closet in our bedroom too ( I keep finding all these goodies at garage sales and the thrift stores but can't seem to find enough time to play with them).
I also worked a couples days - very busy days - and yesterday had to tell them NO to working an extra shift yet again.....maybe they should hire enough Nurses instead of asking us perpetually to work extra shifts.....won't go there, love my job, love my job....love Nursing its the politics/institution ect. that drives me nuts!!!
In addition to the craft room cleaning I did get some yard work done the last couple days as it has been wonderful weather - that'll change tomorrow - rain (which we need).
These flowers are from my Japenese Magnolia tree which is starting to bloom in the back yard - the first pic is a flower and the next one is a couple buds.

All for today - hopefully tomorrow I will get some accual crafting done!!!

Creative Pallete - Powder Keg

Hallo,
I have had a very busy 3 days at work but I can sleep in tomorrow so I am playing on the computer for awhile. These are the last of my pics from Creative Pallete in St. Mary's Georgia. This was a class I took with powder Keg Embossing Powders - They have color stacks of embossing powders that blend together and layer beautifully - that is what we used to create this book with the butterfly.
The embossing powders work great on clay too!!!
The second photo is a close up of the cover and the butterfly. The third photo is Janelle - owner of Powder Keg (along with her DH). It was a great class - I bought some of their stuff last year and of course more this year. They also taught a class on using these embossing powders to make jewerly pieces. And the new thing this year is a new line of GLITTER - and the colors all match the embossing powders !!!And they are WOW!!!! Yes I bought some glitter too! Now all I need is more time to play with all this great stuff. http://www.powderkegembossingpowders.com
I may get some stamping done tomorrow but my

project for the day is to 'pretty up' a file cabinet the DH found for me - its a 4 drawer and it was FREE and no dents or anything - but drab gray just will not work for MY craft room - Purple spray paint should do the trick and then some stamps....can you say Altered file cabinet. I also had a "Brilliant" (from the beer commercial) moment - I needed something better to store my Nestabilities sooo - I have some strips of magnetic tape - I figure they can go on the side of the file cabinet and then they will be in easy reach - we'll see how it all turns out tomorrow.
All for now

Obertin book class and Alexstamping

Hallo,
More pics from Creative Palette - The first 3 are small books made in the book class with the Obertins http://rubbernature.com/ - I got a chance to get my hands on the Bind-it-all (it was already on my wish list) I didn't buy it yet though as my budget isn't ready for it quite yet :).
The last photo is of Karen from Alexstamping http://alexstamping.com/ - great scenery stamps and she teaches really great classes too. I have quite alot of PURPLE rubber in my stash . Their stamps are high quality and as you may have guessed its purple rubber!!!!
All for now - the kids are home and I have to put on the referee shirt and get my whistle out....
