I did 2 separate photo encaustic paintings using one of Paula and Josh's engagement photos. I used a 12 by 12 barn wood cradle and used turquoise colored encaustic wax and copper cold wax.
I layered to photo and sealed it with a couple layers of clear wax. Then I used a stencil - one of trees and one of a seashell - with the cold wax.
The kids choose the tree one so I get to keep the seashell one.
