Another small basket to show off today. Hand painted vintage plate used for the base, it is 8 inches round and 2 inches tall.
This basket took around 7 hours for me to make.

Finished off this little basket last night - 8 inches round by 2 inches deep.
I love the mountain scene on this vintage wall plate. I really made a cute basket!!!
Between the plate and other supplies - about 50 dollars cost for materials and almost 7 hours to make.

I am taking a break from yard work this morning before work - too HOT, and my back has not enjoyed the last few days trying to get my flowers beds back in some semblance of order!!!
I finished off this basket yesterday.
The base was made with some rock slices, black pebbles and resin. I do love me some pretty rocks!!
The basket is 14 inches round and 3.5 inches tall.
It took me around 25 hours to make.
All for today - gotta go to work I guess - only 31 working days let till retirement after today!!!!!

Back with more baskets to show you over the next couple days. I am really looking forward to this fall when I can have more time to get in my studio to paint!!! (the retirement countdown is in full swing!!)
The base for this basket is a vintage hand painted plate. The basket measures 11 inches round and 4 inches tall and took me around 15 /16 hours to make.
I have been making so many baskets lately that my shoulders are starting to protest a bit with all the repetitive movements...... I should probably take a bit of a break but I have sooooo MANY pretty plates!!!!!

Another pair of baskets to show you today.
The first one uses a seashell slice for the base and gray with greens for the cording. I love the simple swirl pattern lately.
The second one I did not use a base and just made from the coil. The main cording is a variegated brown with the same greens used for the swirl pattern.
Both baskets are about 8 inches round and about 2.5 inches high.

Trying something new for basket bases - I made this one from resin and seashells. I have 2 molds in good sizes for baskets. The one is clear with a turquoise blue tint to it.
The basket is 9.5 inches round and 3.5 inches tall.
I will be making more of these resin bases. They are light weight and easy to work with.

I have a bunch of new baskets to show you over the next couple days and then low and behold 3 new paintings!!!!!
The base for this basket was made for me by my friend Kim who does great stuff. The basket is about 11.5 inches round and is about 1.5 inches tall.
I am experimenting with some curly cues for decorations along the top edges.
