Funky purple basket

Hallo,

 A funky little purple basket for you today. I started with a little round metal doohicky that was in my stash. I used paper core and hemp twine.

Hollyhocks and Lupine

Hallo,

   Back home and back in the studio!!!

Our local Art collective had a themed show for 'purple passion' and this is one I did for that show. 

   Purple is one of my favorite colors but I don't use it all that much in my paintings, so this was a good way for me to experiment a bit with different shades of purple!!

   Encaustic wax, 8 by 8 inches on cradled wood panel, 10 by 10 inches with the float frame.

   All for today - back to the studio to play!!!
