Hallo,
Sea turtles swim in this lovely ocean painting. Many layers of translucent wax along with pan pastels, shellac, mica powders, and a bit of oil stick combines into an ocean scene with an amazing amount of depth.
I am truly loving my enacaustic with pan pastels lately. Each turtle is added in at a different layer of the painting.
12 by 12 inches and 1 inch deep.
Have a great day!!!

Ocean redo
Hallo,
Remember this painting?? Well I got it back from a show in Pensacola and even though I loved it, I felt like it 'needed' a bit of something...
Well I played with a bit and a few little jellyfish came over to swim.
I love it even more now!!!!

Zentangle mandalas
Hallo,
Showing some zentangle pieces that I did as samples for my 'Colorful Zentangled Mandalas' class for our all volunteer group here in town. All the teachers and admin are volunteers and the fees for classes are very low, just to cover admin costs and for some of the classes a fee for class supplies.
These samples are a base pattern of a mandala from a set of books by Ben Kwok - then you fill in the mandala with zentangle patterns.
Next I colored them either with watercolors or pencils.
The first 2 pics are the same mandala and patterns - first one before coloring and the second one after watercoloring.
The third picture is the same base mandala as the first with different tangles, also colored with watercolor.
The last 2 pics are before and after with a different mandala and patterns and then after colored in with colored pencils.
The books by Ben Kwok are available on Amazon and he has a bunch - mandalas and several books with all kinds of animals and one or 2 with different objects.
All for today - Take Care

Stasis in motion
Stopping in real quick this am to show off these 2 small paintings. They are both cold wax and oils, attached to archival foam board and matted to slip into an 11 by 14 inch frame. They are listed on my Etsy shop and if you are local to me they are on my print rack at HH Arts Gallery in Fort Walton Beach also.
I used palette knives and other texture tools to paint these onto arches oil paper. They look really nice together or separate.

Turquoise moods
Hallo,
Another couple from my red and turquoise phase. These 2 were done onto arches oil paper with cold wax and oil. They are backed with archival foam board and matted - the first one is in a frame and the second one in a plastic sleeve ready to put in a frame.
I have started a new adventure with my art - I have some of my art listed now on a site called 'Saachiart' . You can see my page here - https://www.saatchiart.com/terafujan
I would love it if you stopped over to my Saatchiart page and check it out!!!!
The first one here I have framed and is up on the Saachiart page. I will be adding alot more art as soon as work and life allows!!!
Have a great day!!!

Turquoise vibrations
Hallo,
Stopping in to show you a 3some I did in my recent red and turquoise phase. I really love red and turquoise together - they just seem to vibrate and move.
These were done with cold wax and oils onto cradled board. They measure 16 by 20 and the sides are finished in black.
The middle one of the group is - as of today - hanging in the county building in Shalimar Fl. for their annual show(they hang there for a year - unless someone buys them and then the artist replaces it with another painting)
All for today

Ocean series - 12 by 12
Hallo,
Last one in this series, this one measures 12 by 12 inches. This one started with 3 layers of plain encaustic and 2 or 3 of white encaustic wax. Next I added a layer of oil sticks.
Follows are several layers of shellac with mica powders, pan pastels, a bit of oil stick, fusing after each layer and adding another layer of clear wax every now and then.
I almost quit at the second picture as I really liked the way it was looking but decided to do just a bit more and am still happy with it.
Unlike the others in this series I didn't add any ink to this one. The sides are finished off with black encaustic.
All for now - a busy week here with work and errands and turn ins for 2 art shows.....oh and watching the hurricanes develop and which way they decide to go....
