Hallo,
Just a short little note - we had a wonderful Christmas, the kiddos made out like bandits :)
I have been working and trying to get ready for 2 weeks away from home.....I am going for 2 weeks to stay with my Mom who is having knee replacement surgery.
I had great plans to have a bunch of stuff done to prepost but alas - didn't happen......therefore my little blog will be pretty quiet for a bit here....look for me again after the 19 of january (I get back the 18th but have to work the 19th.....) I am taking some crafty stuff along to play with - I have had to trim it down at least twice as it wouldn't all fit in suitcase and carry on - and leave room for clothes that is......as it is the carry on is a bit heavy, and so is the laptop case (won't have internet from my laptop at Mom's but want to play around with my photoshop a bit...)......
Have a Happy New Year everyone!!!!!

Missing You
Hallo,
Another quick post today - working again but then I have Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day off which when you are a Nurse it is rare to have both of them off!!!!
This is a quick and cute little card using a new set of mine from My Favorite Things - called 'Flurry of Love'
I paper pieced her coat and then pulled out copics to match and colored the rest of her and the accents on her coat.
Thinking ahead to the 2 weeks I will be out of town to stay with my Mom when she has knee surgery here the first part of Jan. - I think I will stick this in to send the Fam while I am away - (it will match me pretty well more than likely as I am way more used to Florida winters than Nebraska winters!!! - I am sure I will be a bit blue with cold...)
All for today - hope to get some play time tomorrow but we'll see.....

Bombshell Valentine
Hallo,
A quick little post tonight as I need to get dinner started.....
I almost have the invitations for my Mom done - will sit on the couch tonight and finish putting them together.
I had time to make a couple things to show you over the next couple days but not enough time to get good daylight for pics, so these were taken inside and therefore a bit dark....
This stamp is from Bombshell stamps - have had her a couple months and finally getting her inky.
The friday challenge over at Flourishes was 'white space' and I am trying to get a jump on Valentines Day.....and I had this beautiful red ribbon that I was dying to use.
To see what the Flourishes team did with their white space - pop in here - www.flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com
I colored her with copics and then went over the red areas with a red spica glitter pen.
All for tonight - I have to work the next 2 days so unless I am lucky on thursday and steal some crafting time I may not get back here until after Christmas - so just in case....
Have a very Blessed Christmas!!!!

Fujan clan Christmas pics - Florida branch
Hallo,
Quick family post here - I hope to be back tomorrow with crafty stuff - been kinda hectic lately.....lots of excuses - work has been very politically stressful as well as very busy. I was and still am considering a job change but not going to get too much into that.....
I haven't been to0 organized for Christmas this year - 2 packages are probably going to arrive late - insert sad face .
These are our annual - "Make the northern relatives jealous photos" - nice and sunny with palm tree and the bay behind us. I should have taken my glasses off....we did have light jackets we were wearing but figured it would make everyone more jealous if it looked warm enough not to be wearing jackets.....
All for today
Have a good weekend!!!!!

Silver Anniversary cards
Hallo,
I have offered to make the invitations for my Mom and Step-Dad's 25th Wedding Anniversary party and these 3 are the first samples I have come up with for my Mom to look at.
The backrounds are all cuttlebug folders swiped with silver ink. The wedding couple are embossed with silver ink onto velum and edged with silver mettalic pen.
The charm is stamped with an older Stampin Up stamp and says Celebrate - it was punched out of shrink paper, stamped and shrunk.
The flower is silver with pearly beads and the ribbon is silver too.
I did 3 different versions - with 3 different cuttlebug folders. I have to admit that I like the third one best.
The last 3 pics show close ups of the charm - on one of them I colored with the silver mettalic pen on the back but didn't like how that turned out so left the other 2 clear and just edged it with the silver pen.
All for today - I need to cut out material for some tops for work (Christmas material - almost getting too late ) and then see if I can sweet talk my sewing machine into being nice to me (we usually fight alot :).

Mucha inspired poppies
Hallo,
I managed to get some crafting time this weekend - Sunday afternoon. Saturday I went to DS's swim rally/fund raiser and sat. afternoon I took my DD and a couple of her friends to see a movie - and since it was too far to drive back home just to turn around and drive back - I spent some quality time at Mike's and Books-a-million - which is how I got the inspiration for todays post, along with a challenge from Flourishes.
The challenge from Flourishes is to use flowers and the only set I have with flowers is the poppy set - so I had that ruminating in the back of my mind at BAM when I ran across the sale table. On the sale table was a few art books which I love to look at but rarely buy (only so much room in the house). Well the first book I picked up was about Art Nouveau artist A.Mucha and as I flipper through the pages there was this stunning painting of - you guessed it - poppies!!! So I had to give it a whirl.
This first 3 pics is a card and the last 2 are a 5X7 made to frame. The poppies are gold embossed onto white paper and painted with twinkling H2O's. They were hard to get good pics of due to the shimmer and shine.
The frame is a nestie, edged with gold krylon, and the rhinestones were colored to match with a copic marker.
All for today - at work today and tomorrow both of which are preposted.

Little bit o everythin
Hallo,
Did these 2 cards yesterday on my 1 day off - when I should have been doing chores....I was tired and had a slight sore throat, and plugged up head, and I didn't wanna (picture a grown woman stomping her foot like a 2 year old :)....
Anyway back at work today and tomorrow and then I get a couple days off to catch up on chores...and maybe play some more :)
I did this card for 2 challenges - first was for My Favorite Things Guest DT challenge and to help me along I used this weeks CPS sketch.
I used several TJ (Technique Junkie) techniques - including cuttlebug highlights, paper piecing, and out-of- the-box (or in this case out of the circle...).
All for today ....
