Wedding samples - third set...
Hallo,
Well here is the last batch of samples I made for my daughter to chose from for her wedding invitations - this is the style she ended up choosing but I wont show you hers until the invitations have been sent.
Her colors are teal and copper and I used some yummy papers from Paper Temptress.
The light teal (lagoon), copper and the white (pearl?or crystal) are all from PT Mica mettalics line and are beautifully sparkly/shimmery. The darker teal is from the basics line.
I used 2 Spellbinders dies and embossing powder in copper and 2 shades of teal.
All for this morning - I have 2 pups to brush, a house to clean, bottles to spray paint and wedding invitations to make.....

Hallo,
Short post on my way out the door for work today. My daughter is getting married and I volunteered to do the wedding invitations (and the tables décor, and the bouquets, and...)
So I did several batches of samples and this one is the first.
The paper is all from 'Paper Temptress' and is so yummy!!! Coper and pearl from the mica metallics line and teal from the basics line.
The stamps is from Flourishes, and the die cuts are Spellbinders.
Off I go

Baby box gift box
Hallo,
An afternoon chillin at home - watching football, watching Irma, and being crafty. I finished off this cute baby box that I made for a coworker and am working on some clay roses(from a mold) for another coworkers wedding box which is my next project.
I used a stamp from 'Flourishes' - stamped onto cryogen white of course and colored with polychrome pencils.
I used a wooden cigar box and a chipboard book and covered them with matching scrapbook papers and edged the edges with a metallic gold pen. I decorated with some little baby shoes, feet and a teddy bear and a cute baby ribbon.
So far Irma isn't going to trouble us much here in NW Florida - 40/50 mph winds and a bit of rain - unless she moves more west over night we should be in the clear.
I guess that means I have to go to work tomorrow....
All for today - Take Care

Summer daisies
Hallo,
Another Monday morning and I am off to work in a few minutes - stopping by to show you one of the cards I got finished over the weekend!!!
The main image is from Flourishes and colored with prismacolor pencils. I edged the main panel with gold metallic pen. The paper is 'cryogen white' of course from Paper Temptress. I really use almost nothing else for my coloring - nice and smooth, picks up colors and makes them easy to blend and hold s them well!!!
The base cardstock is 'jelly bean green' from Paper Temptress also and is a perfect medium green.
I accented the corners with some garden stickers and it really came together quick!!
I have a whole stash of colored images that I am trying to get made up into cards and such.
All for now - have to head out for work today.

Bumble bees baby

Hallo,
A short stop here today - the pups took me for a walk after work and I was going to do yard work but it looks like it is starting to rain so I guess that means housework instead (pout - hate housework...)
I finished off this baby box for a customer from my Etsy shop this weekend. The Momma to be has chosen bees and sunflowers to decorate her baby room with yellows and blacks for colors.
The flowers with the bees is a stamp set from Flourishes and the Momma with baby is a digi from Conie Fong.
I colored them all with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and then decorated an old cigar box. I made a chipboard book to match that is 5by7 inches and a matching card too. I used cryogen white for the images and the black layer is a sweet textured cardstock - both from Paper Temptress.
Now I need to get it boxed up to send tomorrow and try to find some house cleaning energy....

3D box and card class - stairstep card
Hallo,
A quick note today before I head off to bed for the morning....work ya know :)
I had the second session of my 3D box and card class with our local, all volunteer adult learning organization here in town and this week I had for them 2 styles and all in black and white.
For this card I used and Accucut die which makes doing a stairstep card so quick and easy that it is ridiculous!!!!
I used a pretty white/silvery shimmery cardstock from Paper Temptress called 'silver luster' for the base and then had some panel made up for them to add as they wished using stamps from Flourishes (sadly, no longer in business, but still some of my very favorite stamps!!!). I had them edge the edges of the panels with silver metallic ink and then for my demo model here I added some pearls and a white ribbon flower and a pretty little cameo button
All for today - will have more class samples for you over the next couple days :)

Christmas Doves
Hallo,
A bit more rain for us today but we did get some sunshine this afternoon - course our morning walk with the spoiled puppy was a bit on the soggy side :).
The DH took both the kids to the range for some target practice this morning so I spent some time in the craft room. I had one more DT project for Sweet Pea Stamps to finish before Graduation week craziness starts on Monday but I also pulled out a Flourishes image and made up a Christmas card.
One of my goals this year was to do at least one Christmas card a week but that went by the wayside.....its been several months since I have done one.
I have really been missing my Flourishes stamps and I had a few images already colored up so I pulled this one out and from there it was easy to make up a card!!!
Hoping for a bit more sunshine tomorrow as I could really use to do yard work!!!!
Have a great weekend!!!

For every tear....
Hallo,
Just a quick post this am - headed for a nap after work and then maybe lunch with my boys (DH and DS).
I lost one of my Uncles last week and this is the card I sent to my Aunt and the family. Really wanted to be home for them but I guess that is one of the big disadvantages to living so far from the rest of the family......
The flowers are from Flourishes - stamped onto watercolor paper with ink and then I used Koh-I-Noor watercolors to paint them.
The phrase is from Prickley Pear - embossed in black.
I cut the main panel with a Spellbinders die and edged it with a silver metallic pen and added some silver drops with a tulip fabric paint pen.
All for me this am - nap, lunch, then yard work and craft room - maybe some house work but as it is sposed to rain on Monday - I will probably wait till then and get the yard work done :)
Have a great weekend!!!

A touch of gold
Hallo,
Well I have been in a big time coloring mood lately but haven't taken the time to head into the craft room and make things up as much as usual and this morning I was determined to get something made for the current challenge over at Flourishes - I have missed the last 2 due to the work thang (necessary as it is - it really cuts into my crafting time :)
The challenge this time was to use gold and I love that - I use my gold metallic pen to edge layers ALOT, and my next favorite is usually my gold viva décor pen.
Check out the challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
For todays card I used a stamp from Flourishes
of course and colored it with prismacolor pencils. I cut it out with a Spellbinders die and layered it to some gold mesh ribbon and onto a piece of oriental paper that I have been hoarding literally for years :). The oriental paper is gold with bright gold accents.
Lastly I added some gold bead flourishes and now am getting in just under the wire for the challenge deadline. (I slept later after work this am than I planned....funny thing about sleep, sometimes it tells you what to do - you think I would have learned that by now after all these years on night shift!!! :)
Tomorrow I am running over to Panama City with my DD to restock/rearrange my booth at the Craft Market so Wednesday I might get some craft time before work that night. My DD is home this week for spring break and between getting together with her friends and me working tomorrow is the only day we will have all day to hang out - course she might need a break from Mom after that but I will love it!!! :)

Monday, Monday....
Hallo,
Well I got to see a bit of sunshine this morning - worked sat/Sunday nights and slept through the beautiful sunny day yesterday so when I got off work this am and it was sunny I was very happy!!! Puppy took me for a walk and then I finished off 2 cards - already had them colored , just put them together.....and now (after this quick post) its time for a bit of sleep :)
I did this card for the current challenge over at Flourishes - the challenge being a love and red theme :) I needed to get a couple Valentines done anyhow :) Check out the challenge and also a great sale (that is if you call the end of Flourishes as we know it great - sniff, sniff ) here - www.flourishes.org/blog
The stamps here are from Flourishes of course and I colored the flowers with prismacolor pencils. I kept this very simple - edged the main panel with fired brick distress ink and used that to stamp the phrase too - 2 little gold sticker corners and the base cardstock in red and all done. I stamped part of the image in memento black and then a second time in memento London fog and colored them darker and lighter to create a bit of depth.
All for now - if I wake up in time I will show you the second one this afternoon :)

Flourishes purple challenge
Hallo,
Finally got some time in the craft room the last couple days and I got a couple cards made - I had a few images colored up from Christmas break watching marathons when it was so cold and last week when we were iced in and just had to put them together.
This stamp is from Flourishes and colored with prismacolor pencils in purple to match this weeks Tuesday challenge.
I added some purple trim and lacy ribbon and some purple doo dads to the corners and she is ready to go :)
Check out the challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
And also check out the awesome sale they have going on in the store too!!! Lots of good stuff!!!
I have been priming some boards with encaustic gesso these last couple days too - I have 4 days off in a row this next week and one of them I have no classes, no appointments and no mandatory classes at work so its high time I had a chance to play with my wax - I am really looking forward to it!!!
Well about all for tonight - need to finish getting ready for work....
Have a great night everyone!!!

Prayer journal
Hallo,
Well I was going to save this project to show you another day but haven't got anything else to show you this am and don't feel much like moving outta my chair here in front of the computer just yet....soooo....I finally got all the Christmas decs down on sat am and the boys DS and second son Austin put them back up in the garage attic yesterday for me but I am fighting a major head cold, cough, sore throat the whole whiney shebang so I may not get much done today.....I even called in sick to work last night which is unusual for me (it has been over a year since I called in sick...)
My house really needs cleaning, puppy wants a walk (too cold this am - maybe this afternoon), we could use a few groceries and there is a ton of stuff to do in my craft room.....ah well we will see how much energy I can muster in a bit...after all the house, craft room and puppy will still be here tomorrow.....
I finished off this little project end of last week...I took a journal and altered it - the base is a white core cardstock that I dry embossed and sanded off - I used this for both the front and back covers and edged the edges with metallic gold pen.
The main image starts with 'anemones' from' Flourishes' - stamped once in black memento and twice - once to either side - with gray (London fog) memento inks and colored with Koh-I-Noor pencils onto cryogen white cardstock.
I embossed the phrase from 'Prickly Pear' with black and then added the beaded frame and some gold corner stickers.
The blue ribbon was a last minute thought - pretty and I left a long tail to use as a bookmark.
All for this am - I am almost finished with another locker hook rug so I think I will work on that for a bit and let the cold medicine take a hold before I attempt some cleaning.....boy I am such a whimp when I am sick..... :)
Have a great day!!!
