Hallo,
Just a quick post today - I am on a - sort of - vacation from work this week - am attending a Nursing conference (learning and getting in some education hours needed for a couple of my certifications....)
The new challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers is for Breast Cancer Awareness month. I used Karen Middleton's 'Archway Angel' and did her up in pinks :)
My Mom is a Breast Cancer survivor - 7 years now.
My Dad's Mom also had Breast Cancer - she passed away more than 30 years ago now.
I colored this little Angel with my copics and added a few pink rhinestones to her wings and on the card too, along with some beaded trim and an old pink flowered ribbon.
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Purses and shoes
Hallo,
Just a quick post this afternoon - pups took me for a long walk this am after the DH headed out of town (he is going up to Talladega to spend the weekend immersed in Nascar and I am for the most part going to be involved in some crafty stuff!!!)
Had to run to the bank and get groceries and by the time I got the groceries put away I sat down for awhile in my little massage chair and took about a 45 minute semi snooze - my hips and knees have just been really mean to me lately...
I started some soup in the crock pot and now will quickly finish up dishes......then I need to start pulling out all the stuff I intend to take to my craft fair on Saturday and a few things to exchange out at 'Stone Soup' where I have a few things here in town too....
After that I will work on finishing up a few projects that are in the works - hopefully in time for Saturday.....
The pictures I am showing you today are from my 3D box and card class with CLL from yesterday - we did purse and shoe boxes. The purses are really simple and the shoes not so simple but both very cute and lots of fun. Here's what the ladies came up with.
All for now - back to work...

Tangled in black
Well while I was pulling out bottles and jars for my Halloween creations I found this little jar and thought it would look good with some tangles on it.
I spray painted him black and then tangled him using a superfine white sharpie paint pen - I think I will be doing a few more of these jars - they are fun!!!
Last but not least I finished off a set of shelves to use at the craft fair - from the leftover pieces of the shelves I made for the booth in Panama City....I will put shelves on the front and I put pegboard on back to hhang pictures on...
All for this am - crafting, house cleaning and lunch with my Chief Enabler :) and then working tonight.....

Spooky bottles
Add caption |
Another set of bottles for you - well these 2 are more like a vase but close enough...
No stamping on these 2 just some cool stickers I found in the sale bin. I stuck them on and then used some acrylic sealer to make sure they stay stuck :)
Those rats are glittered black in case it doesn't show in the pics....
I put some tissue paper in then along with a small battery operated tea light candle.
That's all to show you today - trying to get a few things finished off for my craft fair next weekend - built some shelves yesterday - will have to get pictures of those....
All for now - Take Care

Sweet Pea witches brew
Hallo,
Ahhhh love Saturday mornings - especially when I didn't have to work the night before......
Finished off a few Halloween style bottles this week - I have a TON of bottles in my stash - I love bottles and any time I find ones I think I can use at the thrift store or a garage sale I pick them up....
I started these out by spray painting them black. I found the printed Halloween labels in the sale bin at A.C.Moore and then added this sweet little witch image from Sweet Pea Stamps.
The cute little witch image is called Melowyn and is by Maigan Lynn over at Sweet Pea Stamps.
I colored them with prismacolor pencils and then glued them to the bottles. Then I added ribbons and a few rhinestones.....
I cant decide which witch I like better but kinda like the green one better :)

Tangles and tangles :)
Quilt tangle - black |
Quilt tangle - white |
Just poppin in after work this am to show you some more tangled panels I have done recently.
The first 2 panels use the same patterns in the same order and I was kinda thinking of crazy quilt squares when I started them....
The black one was done with a superfine sharpie paint pen and the white with my usual 0.5 micron pen - which has a finer tip than the paint pen.
The last one I used a bunch of 'steampunk' style looking patterns and I can see me copying this and using it in some future project.....
All for now - got the pups a short walk and now that they have chilled just a bit its time for sleep - hopefully the pups will sleep too :) or at least be quiet :)

Catching up
Hallo,
Trying to get caught up on everything here - 2 pieces of news that I hadn't shared yet here - first is that I got published in the newest issue of 'Just Steampunk' Magazine - not only one item but 3 and 2 of the items are featured full pages to boot!!! Such fun. The image I used for all 3 projects is the same one only colored differently each time.
The first picture shows the cover - maybe next time :)
The second picture shows the necklace I made hanging over a blue bottle - I used a big pendant for the image an sealed it with crystal lacquer and imbedded tiny seed beads around the edges...the drop charm is made from an old earring which I covered with some distress embossing powder and added a couple tiny gears.
The third picture shows the keepsake box I made - and the last one is the Journal - both made up with distressed travel paper, distress crackle paint and pretty charms and gears.
The last 2 photos are of the newest addition to our now off to college and no kids around household :)
This sweet boy was very much in need of a good home - his first home defiantly wasn't.....but other than being underweight, some fairly easy to treat worms, and starved for attention (believe me he is a lovey dovey attention hog :) he is in very good shape and will end up to be a very big boy. Both his parents are over 80 pounds and this little boy will easily be that - I mean really, look at those ears in the first picture :)
His name is 'DUKE' - the hubby named him. the hubby wanted to name him 'DOG' - because in the old John Wayne movies whenever he had a dog he called it 'DOG" but I said no so he became Duke instead.
All for today - need to get some errands done and have 2 classes today - one to take and one to teach....

Hallo,
Just a bit of computer time this am before I head off to sleep - after tonight I only have 5 more nights to work (not in a row!!) and then I have 2 weeks off!!! Yipppeee.
I will be having a booth at a local craft fair on the 18th and then the next weekend I have a Nursing conference for 3 days....
Todays project uses a digital image from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'Will-O and the wisps' she is by Norma J Burnell and is also available in rubber form.
I colored her with prismacolor pencils and added her to this great 3-D Portrait frame designed by my friend Vicki - http://vickichrisman.blogspot.com/ The die is available through Accucut - http://www.accucutcraft.com/
I added a bunch of fun embellishments and a rub-on for the phrase.
We are finally getting some nice fall weather here in NW Florida - 60 degrees yesterday am and today - perfect for me!!!
All for today - Have a great weekend!!!
