Well I guess I have a new hobby - I should know better by now to take a cool class in something I have never done before(because I usually end up with another hobby to add to the many I already have). I took this mosaic glass class just to make one lantern......now I have all the tools, a large stash of pretty glass and 6 lanterns.......sigh....
But look how pretty it is, not bad for a first try I think.
This lantern has removable glass panels so we traced where the edge is and then pieced our glass. Added resin, let dry and put the panes back in. This lantern has an electric candle already in it which gives off a yellow glow but when I took pictures it didnt have batteries yet so I used some regular fairy lights. It looks so much better in real life.
