I have been working on this basket a long time - it was too big to work on in the car for our adventures the end of sept.....I started it the beginning of sept and finished it off around October 17th.
I used a deer antler as a handle. I knew I was going to have to balance out the weight of it so it would sit flat and had several ideas for that but I didn't count on how hard it was going to be work around the antler itself. Winding the cord around the coil with the antler in the way slowed things way down!!!!
The basket itself is 9.5 inches round and about 3 inches tall, with the total height being about 12 inches tall.
I used 3 square stone beads under the antler side to prop up the basket so it would sit nice ( 4th pic)
I like how the basket turned out but I wont use the deer antler like I did with this one again - I have a couple more antlers left and I will use then horizontally instead.
All for today - Take Care
Tera
