Sea Oats cyanotype and encaustic painting

Hallo,

Another in my cyanotype/encaustic/bee series to show you today.

The cyanotype was done with a fake sea oats plant (silk - don't remember where I got it) and then I painted sea oats over it with encaustic.

The cyanotype was glued to the wood hexagon panel and then I added several layers of encaustic medium before painting with encaustic paint. Of course, I added a couple little bees and the honeycomb hexagons and I decided it needed a dragonfly too.

Whenever I see dragonflies near the beach their wings shine almost silver in the bright Florida sun, so I did the wings on this one with silver.

                Take Care

                      Tera
