Cherry Blossom Hummingbirds

Hallo,

I have been so excited about this - I am this months Guest Designer for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenges!!!!! How fun is that!!! Flourishes is one of my all-time favorite stamp companies, I am so addicted to all their flower sets!!!!

The challenge this week is from Makiko - 'Fly away with me' - use birds and/or bird elements on your project.

I dug out some of my hoarded stash of washi paper for today's project. This sheet is gorgeous gold tones with lots of shimmers.

I stamped the cherry blossums and the small hummingbird onto the washi paper with memento black and then colored with copics. Some of the texture and shimmer of the washi shows through the ink making it look kinda watercolorish.

The bigger hummingbird I stamped onto white cardstock and colored with copics and then added some glitter pens on top of the copics - fussy cut him out and layered him over the flowers.

The phrase is also from Flourishes - embossed in black.

I used the 'Cherry Blossums' and 'Humming Along'

sets.

The frame is one that I found at a flea market type store a long time ago and have been waiting for just the right piece to put in it (I accually found 3 in a set). The frame origionally had an oriental picture in it but it was faded, stained and torn but the frame was in good shape :)

Zinnia's

Hallo,
Just a quick post before I head off to work....I managed a bit of stamping time today as DS went to the water park with a friend and DD was hanging out with her friends.....
I did this for the current Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes - we were to use our favorite flowers....the real challenge was choseing a favorite, the Zinnias are my newest from Flourishes so my current favorite...
For this card I stamped the Zinnias a couple times, colored them with copics and cut it out with a Spellbinders labels die.

Floral keepsake box

Hallo, Well another Monday..... :) Lots of pictures for you today but probably not as much chatter as on friday :) I have another flower box for you today. The stamp is from Flourishes and is colored with copics. I cut them out with Spellbinders dies, and the layer under too. I made the flowers with ribbons and some brads for the centers. I found some cool drawer pulls for the 'feet' and the inside is lined with felt and a lace doily. I am using this for last tuesdays Timeless Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes! Check it out here - www.flourishes.org/blog/ I managed a bit of craft time this weekend - and some yard work, and some shopping with my DD - so will have a couple things to show you this week. I still have a few things on the to do list to get my laptop where I want it but its getting there.... All for now - Take Care I have been dinking with this post for over an hour now and cannot seem to get it to hold the paragraphs again.... one last try but I apolagize if there are no paragraphs - makes it realy hard to read.....
