StampTV CSS Favorite Things blog hop

 Hallo,
Welcome to the Gina K Stamp TV Favorite Things blog hop!!! We are using stamp sets that were release from August 2012 through Jan. 2013 and the theme of "Our Favorite Things'.
If you are following along the hop then you came to me from the very talented Sharri - http://istamp4u.blogspot.com/2013/02/stv-css-alumni-favorite-things.html
For my card I used 3 sets - Basket additions #3, Holiday Baskets, and Fall Foilage. I used the leaves on the background panel - stamped with tea dye distress ink and memento brown. The main image is colored with copics and cut out with a Spellbinders die and an out-of-the-box technique.
Fall is my favorite time of year, I love when the leaves turn and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays too!!!
Next along the hop is Vicki -    http://allidoisstamp.blogspot.com/2013/02/css-hop-my-favorite-things-feb-26.html  - and I am sure she has some great eye candy for you!!
That's all for me today -  Take Care!!

CSS alumni Sept. hop

Hallo,
Welcome to a color combination challenge blog hop hosted by members of the Gina K.' CSS Alumni team. Today we are featuring hand drawn sets designed by Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber. As you hop along make sure to leave a comment because on Tuesday morning (September 25), we will randomly choose two comments from all the blogs and two lucky individuals will receive a Gina K. Designs Stamps set each (the winners will receive either a set designed by Melanie Muenchinger or Theresa Momber).
Well you should have come to me from the very talented Sharri Seffens - www.istamp4u.blogspot.com/2012/09/stamp-tv-css-blog-hop.html
Sharri gave us out challenge this evening - a color challenge this time, for pumpkin spice (orange), sweet corn (yellow) and fresh asparagus( green).
And I am the end of the hop tonight so if you need to start at the vbegining just go to - www.ning.com
I did my first card with Theresa Momber set 'Hang in there' colored with copics and the leaves stamped with memento and distress inks. I just love this cute little froggy!!!
My second card was done with Melanie Muechingers 'Holiday Basket' and 'Basket additions 3" - also colored with copics.
And my last card was done with 'Holiday Basket' and 'Basket Buddies' - and also colored with copics.
I just love Melanie's basket sets - so adorable and something for every occasion - and now it looks like I will have to add to my collection with the newest set 'Beyond Baskets' which also fits these sets (did you see that great wheelbarrel!!! :)
All for this evening - posting a bit early as I am going downtown for the local Art Walk - I usually set up a table but this time I am going to go and just browse :). The hop officially starts at 9 pm.

I ended up with 3 cards using this months sketch because as usual I couldn't decide which color scheme to use so I did all 3. And I did up Christmas cards too!!! I had planned on doing Christmas cards all year long this year but have been slaking in that department the last couple months.
All stamps are from Gina K and the sets I used are - 'seasonal sayings' 'vintage borders' and 'light of the season'
I colored the candle image with copics - I stamped the music border with memento toffee and the main image with memento brown and the phrase is also stamped with memento ink but I can't remember which one - its a teal/dark turquoise blue.
All for me today and I am also the end of our hop this time - I hope you had a great time along the way!!!!

CSS Sketchy Hop

Hallo,

Welcome to another Center Stage Spotlight Alumni (CSS) blog hop.

This time we are using this awesome sketch from Melissa Cash for our challenge.

And speaking of Melissa - It is her Birthday today so we all decided to use her sketch and make her a Birthday card!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Melissa !!!!!!

If you are following along the hop then you came to me from Miesje - www.miesdf.blogspot.com/2011/08/css-sketch-blog-hop-8122011.html and I am sure she wowed you!!!! - If you didn't come along the hop you can always pop back to Stamp TV and start from the begining so you don't miss anything!!!

For my card , I didn't follow the sketch so perfect - every time I tried to add the other elements to this card to match the sketch it just didn't look right, so I left it alone :).

I also used this weeks Monday challenge inspiration photo over at Stamp TV - I just love the red and the teal colors together and liked the look of the horizontal blinds too.....

I used images from Melanies' set - 'Buds and Vases' . The flowers are colored with copics and the vase was stamped and embossed onto vellum and then cut out.

The phrase is from Ninas' set - 'Elegant Post'. I used my scor pal to scor the lines.

I added some yellow dots as accents to pick up the yellow in the inspiration photo too.

Don't forget to stop by everyone on the hop and leave a comment for each of us - Gina is giving away a stamp set on this hop - tuesday am the 16th they will pick one random commenter to receive a free stamp set ($24.95 or less).
Ok that is all for me this evening so I am sending you on to Vicki - www.allidoisstamp.blogspot.com/2011/07/css-hop-gina-k-designs-sketch.html
And I am sure she has something awesome to show you!!!!
Have a great weekend!!!!

Sketchy Blog Hoppin'

Hallo and Welcome to another Gina K CSS blog hop!!!!!
It was dicey whether I was going to make it tonight....My computer went cafunk on Monday and I lost all my files.....thought Iwas looseing my hard drive(either that or someone hijacked my computer) and I have been fighting it all week trying to find and save files - did my cards and loaded them to DH's computer so I could get them here tonight....turns out someone hijacked my computer after all - good news is all my family photos and blog files are safe, hate the fact that someone had acsess to all of my laptop but the good thing that there isn't anything finacial on it, I don't even do any online banking which is a good thing in this case.
All right now that I made it here and my computer is being debugged LET'S HOP !!!!
If you want to start at the begining of the hop, go here - www.stamptv.ning.com
If you are following along then you came to me from Sue Morris's blog - http://suessentiments.com/wordpress/?p=5271 where I am sure she had some great stuff to show you!!!
I am the last in line again but be sure to leave comments along the way because Gina is giving away a FREE STAMP SET to one lucky commenter!!!
For our blog hop this time we are using a sketch from the fabulous Melissa Cash who is snowbound and without power as I type (for the last SEVERAL days in fact - akkkk) so send her some warm thoughts and electrical wishes tonight!!!!
I am also using the newest color spotlight challenge colors - which really was a challenge for me!!!!!
In amonst computer woes and a sick old meow (who is feeling much better BTW - just a 2 day slump I guess...she is 20 years old and rather frail these days....) I managed to get 3 cards done :) I must have needed the stress relief :)

My first 2 cards use the 'Sew Pretty' set.
I paper pieced the aprons and colored the rest of her with copics. I am not too sure about my darker skin tones....I don't do them often but have been trying to every now and then.
My last card uses the 'Mugs and Kisses' set along with an older set called 'Friends are Forever"
I did turn the sketch vertical for all 3 cards...tried to do one horizantal and I couldn't get it to look right so reowrked it.....
Well that's about it for tonight - going to see about getting some dinner ready and relax with my copics and pencils on the couch. I have a full day of planting and yard work planned for tomorrow - made my first trip to Lowes for the season and true to form am working on my first 'planting frenzy' (I don't garden so much as have big planting sprees - hence the 'panting frenzy')
I am planning on limiting myself to just one round this year because we have a busy summer planned and I have a hard enough time keeping up with the weeds here in the hot/humid/Florida summers....
....a bit talkative tonight aren't I ... :)

Running round in circles....

Hallo,
Yup, today feels kinda like I am running around in circles.....I didn't get any yard work done (ya I know you told me I wouldn't - Fran and Pat :).
I got out for a walk this am and then popped over to hang out at with my stampin' group - intending to just color for a bit and leave before lunch to run some errands.....well I got an idea in my head for a card and started in, and fiddled with it, colored a bit, fiddled some more, started a second version, colored....before I knew it, it was 2 pm....so off I went to run errands...a stop at A.C.Moore, which then lead to a stop at Jo Ann's (another story...) then to get groceries and home in time to have about an hour before I need to start supper (and since I didn't eat lunch and its now 4pm.....I grabbed a snack and decided to write up this blog post .....).
All the stamps are from Gina K and I used this weeks sketch from Stamp TV. I embossed the stamps with gold and then sponged on some antique linen distress ink. The second layer is a black with ivory flocking and the last layer is a very pretty gold paper which is shiny and sparkles IRL.
I am hoping to get some yard work done tomorrow as well as some stamping - so we will see how that works.... :)
All for today - going to see if I can sneak in a bit of craft table time yet before super....

Raspberry tea

Hallo,
Just a quick little psot for you tonight - I was a mad cleaning woman this morning and then ran errands, and more errands.....tired now....
I did this card last week for a challenge over at Stamp TV. I stamped the ice tea set and shelf over a background technique from Technique Junkies called glimmer lace and colored them with copics.
All for now - Take Care

Sweet red Sweet Pea

Hallo,
I have dinner on the stove so will try to get this up for you all tonight. I sure didn't get as much done today as I had wanted....worked last night and tried to get up early, as I don't work tonight but....it didn't work. When I did manage to drag myself out of bed all I could get motivated for was the craft room.
I had colored this image earlier and just had to put the card together today.
I did this for this weeks color challenge over at Copic Colour Challenge - www.copiccolourchallenge.blogspot.com
The colors were - G00, BG23, BV02.
This card also fit for this weeks Inspiration challenge over at Stamp TV - www.stamptv.ning.com as the inspiration picture had lots of purples, greens and pink....
The image is from Sweet Pea Stamps - www.sweetpeastamps.com

I had a hard time deciding which DP to combine with this image - I wanted something to make the image pop and found this Basic Gray in my stash and loved it!!!!
All for now - gotta finish off dinner....

Blue Callas

Hallo,
Just a quick note this am - I did this card for a challenge over at Stamp TV . Can you tell that I am getting addicted to challenges!!!! This one was a color challenge - blue and tan.
The stamp is from Gina K and colored with copics. I pulled out these little blue dot thingys to add as an embellishment and found that they looked pretty cute in the vase too :)
Well I had better get going - going to get some chores done, walk the pooch, excersise and try to get in a good nap before working tonight....
Wish me luck!!!
Take Care

Bookmarks

Hallo,
Just a quick post tonight - dinner is on the stove but I wanted to get this up - DD is doing most of the cooking tonight anyway :).
I have 2 bookmarks to show you tonight. They were done for a challenge over at Stamp TV. The bookmark is made of clear cardstock (accually some clear acrylic that came as packaging with a stamp set - I have a bunch of these and don't often use them - they work the same as the clear cardstock).
I stamped on them with staz-on and then stamped images onto cardstock, colored, cut out and glued onto the book mark. All stamps are from Gina K.
The one with the Orchid is about 1.5 inches wide and 3 inches long and the Koi one is about 2.5 inches wide and 3 inches long.
I managed to get a bunch of stuff done here at home today - yard work, house work, groceries and even managed a bit of stampin time.
I am going to prepost for tomorrow as I have a few things that need to get done and a good long nap to take - tomorrow night will be the first night shift I have worked in a really loooonnnggg time so I don't want to be too sleepy come 3 am.....

All for now - Take Care
Tera

A walk in the park

Hallo,
Once again I will try to get my chores done today - didn't get far yesterday - dentist appointment, got groceries, had lunch with my good friend Pat, a bit of time at the craft table, some time at my DS's track meet.......the chores are still here for me today :).
This was a card I made for a sketch challenge on Stamp TV.
All stamps are from Gina K - colored with copics and prismacolor pencils. I cut the main image with a Spellbinders label die. The corner pieces are also a Spellbinders die. Basic gray DP onto blue base cardstock....

Alright - off I go to walk the dog and do a bit of yard work, house work ect and some craft time too.....
