Angel green

Hallo,
Well my big decision for this am was whether to get 3 hours sleep or just stay awake all day after work....puppy was rowdy and its a bright and sunny morning (if a bit chilly) so puppy took me for a walk and I guess I am up for the day. I have plenty to do to keep busy but boy I am going to regret it by the end of the day.
I have a mandatory class at work at noon and then this evening set up my stuff for the annual employee craft fair at my workplace (the local hospital...).
Todays card is a stamp from Stamps Happen which I have had a few years . She is so pretty and I love doing her up in different color combos - todays is green :) She is colored with prismacolor pencils.
All for now - gotta keep moving if I am going to stay awake :)

Doves - sketch challenge

 Hallo,
A quick evening post as I head off to work - I managed to finish my errands in time today to take pics of the cards I finished over the weekend. I have used up all the stash of colored Christmas images that I did over my Thanksgiving trip - so I will be showing those over the next week or so.
Todays card is one that I did for the release challenge over at Flourishes which is a sketch this time - 2 sketches actually, I chose this version for today and will have 2 more for you tomorrow.
The stamp is from Flourishes of course and I colored with prismacolor pencils. I thought the blue with the doves looked good with the red berries so I found some blue paper with holly on it and layered it all with red and then used red accents done with a tulip fabric pen.
Check out the challenges here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
Okkay dokkey time for me to head off to work!!!

Holly

Hallo,
A chilly Saturday morning here in NW Florida - Yah yah I know, in Nebraska this am its -2 and in Wyoming its -24ish but when its 80 one day and 54 with wind chill to 40 the next, its cold!!!! My puppy sure loves to walk when its cold though, its like she gets and energy boost (and she is already pretty energetic!!).
I have a project to finish in the craft room today and I am going to try and get the Christmas decs down from the attic and get the tree up today too...then tonight is a Christmas party with my work crew which I hear is always interesting (I usually don't go but got talked into it this time).
My Chief Enabler Pat and I went to Pensacola yesterday shopping - found me some New Balance shoes on really good sale - hard to find in my area especially in a wide size and at a decent price to boot!!! I also found some pretty good deals at JoAnn's (they have a super store in PSC) and at Hobby Lobby too - both of us did and by the time we went to both of those we decided we had better stay out of Mike's as both of us had spent more than we planned.....
On the way to lunch we passed a new Flea Market near the mall which is really awesome - its a great mix of antiques, craft items and art - and its huge!!!! It will defiantly be added to our must stop list for our rare trips over yonder....
Well todays card is another for my Christmas stash - only about 20 to go (I may need to simplify!!)
I used a Flourishes stamp and Neenah Desert Storm paper from Paper Temptress and colored it with prismacolor pencils.
I used some faux stitching around the edge of my Spellbinders die for the current Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes - www.flourishes.org/blog/
I had better get a move on this am - my 2 big project to finish off and then its release week again over at Flourishes with the first challenge being a sketch, so I need to get to work on that too!!!
  Have a great weekend!!!

Sweet Pea Stampers - 'Baby its cold outside'

 Hallo,
Its time for another challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers blog - http://thesweetpeastampers.blogspot.co.uk/
Our challenge this time is 'Baby its cold outside' I used Katerina Koukiotis's 'Home for the Holidays' and colored her with prismacolor pencils.
This is such a sweet image and with her rosy cheeks it does look a bit chilly outside :) The background paper has snowflakes on it and I used a ribbon with snowflakes and snowflake stickers too  :)
If you ever wonder what paper I use to color - someone asked me this recently - I use Cryogen White cardstock that I get from the Paper Temptress ( http://papertemptress.com/ ) for the majority of my coloring, as todays is - my next favorite is the Neenah cardstock - ivory and desert storm (kraft colored but smooth to color on) also from Paper Temptress.
The Cryogen White is very smooth, takes color beautifully, doesn't bleed and it has a sparkly sheen to it that just adds a subtle pizzaz that I really love :)
Make sure to check out my fellow DT members blogs as they have some really pretty cards to show you, play along with us and you could win some free images from Sweet Pea Stamps!!!
All for me this am as I am off to spend the day with my Chief Craft Enabler as we make the rounds of the craft stores over in Pensacola :)

Beading Mousy

 Hallo,
Well this week sure has gone fast - I still have a long to do list to get done - both house and craft projects. Got some cleaning done and a bunch of Christmas shopping and today I finished off about 5 cards and started a wedding box for a friend.
I am working on the stash of cards I colored over the week of Thanksgiving at home in Nebraska.
I haven't played along with a House Mouse challenge in a long time - mainly for a serious lack of time, but I love their Christmas stamps so I have a few colored up .
I colored this sweet House Mouse stamp with prismacolor pencils and layered it to some brown cardstock  and some pinecone ribbon and some pretty dark green DP.
Check out all the great HM Christmas cards over at the challenge blog here - http://housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com/
All for tonight - need to figure out something to make for super tonight.....kinda late to start planning which means I have no clue what I am making....ah sigh....I really don't like to cook :)
