Birthday Bouquet
Hallo,
Trying to get back into crafty mode, this summer has kept me busy and I have taken the weeks since my daughters wedding to..... well, not do much of anything except go to work and a few other essentials - not much crafting or studio time.....
Between getting a knee replacement the end of march, having an appendectomy mid june, wedding mid july and the week after the wedding the hubby having a knee replacement the crafting mojo has been a bit lacking…..hopefully that is turning around now.
I made this card this week for my Mom for her Birthday.
The image is from 'Power Poppies' and I colored it with polychrome pencils onto cryogen white cardstock. The gold die cut was done with a Spellbinders die and used a gold sparkly paper. The base cardstock is a sparkly turquoise paper(left over from the wedding invitations) - all the cardstock is from Paper Temptress.
All for today - going to pop my head back outside and see if its cool enough to take the pups for a walk....
Take Care

Paper wedding cakes
Hallo,
A quick post this afternoon as I need to head back to the craft room....
I decorated these cakes today that I made from pretty papers and cake slice dies from Accu cut.
The top layer on this first one is a really sparkly 'crystal' from Paper Temptress - the next layer - also from PT is 'teal' and the bottom layer is from a roll of wall paper that I have been hoarding forever.....
The second cake - top 2 layers also from PT - crystal again and 'lagoon' and the bottom layer another pretty roll of wallpaper.
I decorated them with ribbons, liquid pearl drops and some silk flowers - I will show these to my daughter and then refine the decorations a bit.
I really like the top one best.
All for today - take care

Wedding time of the year
Hallo,
I figured it was about time I posted again - I have been back to work after my knee replacement surgery for 2 weeks now and am still getting used to the work life again :)
I have a long weekend off due to the Memorial Day weekend although very rainy due to Alberto. But it made for some great craft room time.
I finished off a wedding box for a friend of mine.
I decorated a box and memory book and card to match.
I used several papers from Paper Temptress - gold and Fairway from the mica/metallic paper line and for the sides of the box in antique silver luster, as well as my go to coloring paper the cryogen white.
The digital image is from 'A day for daisies' and colored with polychrome pencils.
All for now but I do have a few projects to show you that I did for my DD's wedding coming up in July....

Copper Pearl
Hallo,
Another card for you today, using the same image from yesterdays by Julia Burgess. I often end up doing 2 of each image because when I print I like to use the whole sheet and usually print 2.
Again I used cryogen white cardstock and polychrome pencils to color her with.
She is layered to some pretty cardstock and the base cardstock is from Paper temptress's metallic line - a pretty, shimmery copper.
I also used a gold metallic pen to edge the image panel and some pearl drops with viva décor pens for the corners.
All for today - Take Care

Pink Pearl
Hallo,
A short post this afternoon as I need to get outta this chair and do my knee exercises.....
I finished off 2 cars today and this is the first one. She is a digital image from Julia Burgess called 'Pearl' and I colored her with polychrome pencils.
I printed her onto 'cryogen white' cardstock from Paper Temptress. The cryogen white is my favorite cardstock for coloring - either pencil or copics - because it is so smooth and both blend very well on this cardstock.
I layered her onto 'Lagoon' cardstock also from Paper Temptress's metallic line. It is a lovely turquoise color and wonderful sparkle.
All for today - I have another one for you tomorrow. Take Care.

Wedding samples - third set...
Hallo,
Well here is the last batch of samples I made for my daughter to chose from for her wedding invitations - this is the style she ended up choosing but I wont show you hers until the invitations have been sent.
Her colors are teal and copper and I used some yummy papers from Paper Temptress.
The light teal (lagoon), copper and the white (pearl?or crystal) are all from PT Mica mettalics line and are beautifully sparkly/shimmery. The darker teal is from the basics line.
I used 2 Spellbinders dies and embossing powder in copper and 2 shades of teal.
All for this morning - I have 2 pups to brush, a house to clean, bottles to spray paint and wedding invitations to make.....

Set 2 - wedding Invitation samples
Hallo
Just a quick post this evening with another batch of wedding card samples. I cant remember who made the stamp but I have used it a lot over the years.
I used some really wonderful papers from Paper Temptress. The copper, pearl and lagoon(light teal) are from the 'mica mettalics' line and are a nice heavy base cardstock with a wonderful sparkle to them - BONUS this line is even on sale right now, so if you NEED some I have a link to Paper Temptress is my sidebar. I also used a darker teal from the basics line which is a really rich teal - love it.
I used a Spellbinders die and embossing powders in copper and 2 shades of teal (the darker teal embossing powder just by luck perfectly matches the teal paper!!! - ah the simple joys in life :)
All for now - need to get some dinner on the stove I guess.

Steampunk Valentine's
Hallo,
Just a short one today as it is about time to get some dinner on the table....
I had this image colored up for awhile now and decided it needed to be a Valentine's Day card.
The image is a digital from Rick St.Dennis and it is colored onto 'cryogen white' paper with prismacolor pencils.
All the paper in this card is from Paper Temptress - the cryogen white is one I use for almost all my coloring, whether pencil or markers.
The red layer is from the 'incandescent line' and is called 'russo' and the base cardstock is another of my very favorites from the 'mica metallic line' - gold. It is very sparkly, smooth and has a really nice weight.
I added a few little clay roses that I did from a mold.
All for today - Take Care

Noel - 3D card
Hallo,
Just dropping in for a quick post today before I head to work....I didn't get Christmas cards made to send out this year and horror of horrors had to send out store bought!!
The card I did this am was started last year at this time.....ah hem....yup...
The base for this card is a lovely 3D die cut from Accu Cut that was designed by my friend Vicki Chrisman as is the bow die on the front of the card. Really makes this kind of card easy to do!!!!
All the patterned cardstock on the inside is part of the die cut also.
The middle panel is highlighted by the front of one of last years Christmas cards that was too pretty to throw away - I cut the picture out of the card with a Spellbinders die.
Cutting already done from last year, all I had to do was fold, glue, tape and add pretty pretties too.
Have a Great day!!!

Wedding gift box
Hallo,
Enjoying a holiday Monday off, loves the long weekends. Course we didn't do too much this weekend due to Nate raining and blowing on us Saturday night and all day Sunday but other than a ton of leaves and sticks in the pool no damage here. We didn't even loose power although some in our area did.(we just happen to be on the same power grid as the county sheriffs department - handy dontchsay :)
Showing you a wedding box I finished off yesterday for a friend from work who got married last weekend.
The paper I used for the digital image - from 'A day for daisies' is my old favorite, 'cryogen white'. Colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
The base cardstock for the card, memory book cover and the top of the box is called 'silver luster' and is from Paper Temptress , as is the cryogen white. I also used a piece of vellum from Paper Temptress with a really nice shimmer to it, but I cannot remember the name of it.
I added some clay roses that I made using a mold and some ribbons and rhinestones, 2 rings with doves on them and a charm that says 'To love and cherish' on it.
The box is an old cigar box and it is big enough to hold both the book and the card.
All for today - gotta a few errands to run and maybe do some cleaning around the house.

Baby box gift box
Hallo,
An afternoon chillin at home - watching football, watching Irma, and being crafty. I finished off this cute baby box that I made for a coworker and am working on some clay roses(from a mold) for another coworkers wedding box which is my next project.
I used a stamp from 'Flourishes' - stamped onto cryogen white of course and colored with polychrome pencils.
I used a wooden cigar box and a chipboard book and covered them with matching scrapbook papers and edged the edges with a metallic gold pen. I decorated with some little baby shoes, feet and a teddy bear and a cute baby ribbon.
So far Irma isn't going to trouble us much here in NW Florida - 40/50 mph winds and a bit of rain - unless she moves more west over night we should be in the clear.
I guess that means I have to go to work tomorrow....

Pretty in pink
Hallo,
It is so beautiful and cool out this morning, have all the windows and doors open to the fresh air and Lovin it!!! Too bad I couldn't get myself out of bed in time to take the pups for a walk.....I have been working the 11 am to 7 pm shift this week and getting up every day at 6 to walk the pups and run a ton of errands - normal stuff plus a bit of hurricane prepare. Then last night I didn't get off till about 945 pm and I guess I was a bit tired. With any kind of luck the cool weather will hang out a day or two!!!
Irma seems to have turned away from us here in NW Florida panhandle - lets hope she keeps going east and doesn't decide to curve back into the gulf!!! And hopefully weakens a lot more before south Florida has to deal with her full force!!!!
Well I have another baby box to show you - with memory book and card. This one is for a co-worker who is due in a couple weeks. Her colors for baby stuff are pin and gold. I used a cigar box for the box and a chipboard blank book for the memory book. All the images are done on cryogen white paper from Paper Temptress and colored with polychrome pencils. The base pink card stock on the card is also from Paper Temptress - not sure of the name - will have to look that one up.
All the other scrapbook/patterned paper was from deep in my stash of pretty papers.....(ahem/hoarder/denial....)
All for today - gotta head off to work here soon.
Take Care!!!!

Halloween Kitty
Hallo,
A sweet Halloween card for you today.
The digital image is by Olga Gre and I colored her with polychrome pencils onto cryogen white cardstock from Paper Temptress.
I cut the kitty out and layered her to 'classic linen-antique gray' also from Paper Temptress. A really pretty gray with a bit of soft texture.
Then I added the 'Happy Halloween phrase, the sticker mouse and mask for kitty, and lastly some yellow and orange rhinestones.
Getting a head start on Halloween this year :)
Have a great week!!!

Fairy Princess
Hallo,
A quick morning post as the hubby and I are headed for Biloxi for the night to see Pat Benatar in concert!!!! She always puts on a great show!!! (my DS will be home for the weekend to keep the pups company :)
I finished this picture earlier this week. I started with this beautiful digital image from Selina Fenech which I colored with polychrome pencils onto 'cryogen white ' cardstock.(from Paper Temptress)
I cut her out using a die but leaving her wings and the lily pad outside the edges. I layered her to 'silver ore glimmer cardstock' and then to an over lay called 'silver bohemian by Hambley' and more of the silver ore glimmer behind that - all are from Paper Temptress.
I used a bunch of flowers for accents - the 2 smallest ones I left white and one down in the bottom right corner was already a pretty blue - the rest were white to start with and I sprayed them with turquoise glimmer mist . I added her crown from my stash with a rhinestone at the top added to match her wings and a couple flat backed faux pearls for good measure!!!
She was mounted onto a canvas board and framed - 11 by 14 inches.
All for now - gotta get a move on this am...

Windblown
Hallo,
Working today but since I had something done to show you, I will pre-post....
I got this card done yesterday. I colored this sweet image from 'A Day for Daisies' with polychrome pencils onto 'cryogen white cardstock (as usual).
The cryogen white as well as the base cardstock for this card - silver luster cardstock - can be found on Paper Temptress and they are 2 of my very favorite cardstocks.
The silver luster makes wonderful wedding and anniversary cards as well as adding an elegant touch to any card.
I added silver corner stickers, and some plastic clear flowers with a pearl and paper flower on top. Then I added a couple smaller flowers with a rhinestone and pearl center (sshhh - one of the little flowers covers a pencil smear)
Lastly I added some liquid pearl drops with a viva décor pearl pen - onto her wings and in the centers of the flowers in her hair - and a couple on her cheek.....
All for today - I hope to have another encaustic piece to show you this weekend.
