Hallo,
Just a quick post for today and then I am off to get ready for work.....
I did this card for the current challenge over at Mo's for 'furry friends' (horses really aren't furry per say but close enough...)
Check out the challenge here - www.mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com
This image is from Mo's of course and colored up with my copics.
I am a horse lover from waaayyyy back and have always loved a dappled horse :) (or spotted, or a bay, or black, or white or palamino.....welll you get the idea :)
I layered the main image to another from the same die set cut from brown paper and ran through a wood texture folder and highlighted with brown ink to bring out the texture a bit more.
I used a gray card base to match the horse and then used some copper liquid beads to frame the frames.
The phrse is from Stampin Up and embossed in copper - then I used a brown sharpie to line right under it to accent it a bit more.
All for today - Take Care

Medallion Christmas
Hallo,
Just a quick little post for you this friday afternoon - yes I am backposting again, should be caught up though....
I did these Christmas ornaments for a challenge in the FLourishes forum over at Splitcoast Stampers.
The challenge this time was an inspiration photo with alot of red and white and a touch of gold.
I thought one of my newest sets would make a great ornament.
These are done with the 'Medallion motiff' set and are the same on bolth sides.
The first one is done with white embossing powder onto red paper. The second cardstock is a shimmery pearl with red embossing and the last one is on a very shimmery gold cardstock with red embossing
All for today - need to get this linked and then go get DS from after school activities, get a shower andget ready to go to work tonight....

Things with wings....
Hallo,
Back posting for today again....I may catch up by friday :)....
Todays project is for a challenge over at Mark's Finest Paper blog for things with wings. I only have 2 of their stamp sets (durn budget...) but lucky for me the Halloween set has an owl and bats :)
Check out the challenge here - www.marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com
The base is chipboard that I covered with paper and put a hanger on with some twine. Then I took my Spellbinders largest bat die and cut a bat out of the DP. Then I traced the same die onto brown paper to make it slightly larger for a back layer.
I stamped onto the DP with a stamp from MFP of course and embossed with black. I edged the DP with copper metallic pen.
I also did up the back side - using more of my huge stash of leaves and a phrse from another MFP stamp set.
This little hanging is only about 5 inches by 6 - but I think it turned out really cute!!!
All for today folks - still debating whether I should cook supper or head back to the craft room......

Bright Skier
Hallo,
I am back posting for today and tomorrow - working tonight tried to get stuff done yesterday but we had a great thunderstorm move through in the am - wonderful to sleep to, I love it anyway - but the lightening knocked out power and we were still out of power when I woke up and wanted to start crafting for the day.....so I didn't get much done yesterday, and today held an unwanted and yukky surprise too but ahhh well - I managed to get s few good hours craft time to help things out a bit :)
I did this card for the current challenge over at Phindys - the challenge was to use colors that are opposite on the color wheel, I chose purple and yellow. What a ski suit that would be eh - sure wouldn't get lost in the snow :P!!!
I colored her with prismacolor pencils and cut her out with a Spellbinders die as well as the snowflakes.
I layered her to some snowflake paper and added a silver edge to the main layer and silver liquid beads to a couple corners.
Check out the challeneg over at Phindys here - www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com
All for today - hmmm should I make super or go back to the craft room? decisions, decisions.......

Orchid shaker
Hallo,
Welcome to another Monday morning - a quick post, a quick walk with my dog and then off to sleep for the day.
I did todays card for the current FTTC challenge at Flourishes - the challenge is to get all girly and glam it up!!! Check it out here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
I had this image colored up so putting it together was rather quick. I decided to do another shaker card and used my Spellbinders nestabilities this time.
I did recycle the acetate sheet though - it comes from a package of stamps (I save all the plastic sheets for things like this). I pretty much used the same technique found in the shaker tutorials over at Stamp TV - which I linked to on Fridays post.
I did goof just a bit on this one - I added waayyy to many beads, what you see in there now is only half of what I had origionally put in. A bit tricky to take out some beads once you have them sealed in.....I lifted up one corner and took out a small section of the foam tape and poured some back out and then put another piece of foam tape back in that spot.
The orchid stamp is from Flourishes of course - colored with prismacolor pencils.
The frame is a shimmer paper in pink which I edged with metallic gold pen.
Loved this DP and I HAD to use it, edged that with the metallic pen too.
I added some decorative metallic corners and then around the edge of the shaker with dots from a gold Viva decor pen.
Well all for today - Take Care

Halloweenish Decor
Hallo,
Stopping in to show you one of my projects for the day....
I did some yard work this am while the weather was cool - after a walk with my DH and my ol mutt. One of my vines had gotten away from me big time this summer and had grown 30/40 feet up into the nearby tree. Although I am sure it may have been pretty in spring when it bloomed it was starting to overtake the tree in parts. So 40 minutes, a 10 foot ladder and my DS climbing the tree later I have most of the vines out - there was another weed vine up there too from across the fence.....my poor tree looks much better, and I saved as much of the vine still attatched and tied it along the fence so maybe it will grow along the fence now instead like I had initially started him to do.....
Anyway, once I got to the craft room this went together pretty easy. Remember the leaves that I went crazy cutting and embossing - well this is my second plaque using them and really have not even made a dent (I see lots of leafy projects in my fucture :). I did this one Halloween style and with all the layers it fits perfectly for this weeks challenge over at the Outlines blog which happens to be for 'layers'. Check out the challenge and all the DT inspiration here - www.outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com
I used black coredinations paper for the base layer and a spiderweb texture folder - sanding off so the web showed up better, then the leaves - glued on in layers around the edges and hanging off the edges a bit.
The main images are from Outlines - colored with copics and layered first to some brown patterned paper and then to a copper shimmer paper (both scraps from recent projects - the leaves were cut from scraps in my scraps files and the black coredinations paper was also in my scrap files :).
All for today folks - am sposed to work tonight so I had better get myself a nap (my brain works better at 3 am if I do anyhow :)

I'll love you forever.....
Hallo,
Just a quick post this afternoon - I finished off this baby box with memory book and just couldn't wait to show you :).
This is a cigar box that I recovered and added a matching chipboard memory book for inside - along with some matching onsies for decorating the pages and a card for gifting.
The main image and phrase are from My Favorite Things - www.mftstamps.com - colored with copics.
The onsie is a stamp from Gina K - www.shop.ginakdesigns.com
The papers are from my stash and have been in my stash for probably a couple years - was reorganizing last week and rediscovered them :)...
The orange rhinestones are from Pizzazz Aplenty - www.pizzazzaplenty.blogspot.com
And lastly the orange beads are tiny seed beads by MS via a very sweet friend/secret sister from Stamp TV's last round of Secret Sisters :) (but I have seen them at A.C. Moore and Wal-Mart...)
I am trying real hard to build up a good stash because I have a craft fair in only 3 weeks and could use to have more things to accually sell :) (That durn work thang keeps getting in the way of my crafting time....)
But until the craft fair this will be up on my Etsy site tonight - www.etsy.com/shop/stampqueen
The book is a chipboard book covered with matching and coordinating papers to the box - it is 6 inches by 5 and 3/4 and has 10 pages.
I added a little sack of about 18 onsies out of the same papers to help decorate the pages and a card that says 'Congrdulations'
All for now - off to get this up on the Etsy site and then back to the craft room - one more boy set in the works and then a girl set or 2....

Cheesy Birthday
Hallo,
Just a quick little post this am - my pooch is moaning and whineing at the door for his walk.....
I did this for the current challenge over at the House Mouse blog which is for celebrations (with the added option of flowers).
Check out the challenge and all the DT inspiration here - www.housemouse-challenge.blogspot.com
There are lots of prizes this time too so you may want to get stampin' - just sayin :)
I colored this HM image with copics and cut the main panel with a SPellbinders labels die.
Simple background but pulled some flowers from my stash - the yellow ones are a stamp from Outlines.
Its a beautiful Sat. am - nice and cool so its time for a walk. We were up at 5 am to get my DD off to the airport for a educational trip to D.C. (after spending the weekend with friends :) So now that we are up again - I guess I had better get moving...
Have a great weekend!!!

CSS Fall Shaker
Hallo,
Welcome to another Gina K Center Stage Alumni blog hop!!!!
If you are following along the hop then you should have come my way from the very creative Vicki - www.allidoisstamp.blogspot.com/2011/09/gkd.html
If you want to start at the beginning then go to the main Stamp TV page here - www.stamptv.ning .com
Our challenge this time was to create a Fall Shaker card. I had not done one of these in a loonngg time!!! I like to recycle and use the plastic that comes with small packages like for brads and ect - I will show you later in this post....but Gina has done 2 awesome videos on how to do shaker cards and I will leave the links below for you to check out.
Shaker cards part 1 - www.stamptv.ning.com/video/shaker-cards-part-1-1
Shaker cards part 2 - www.stamptv.ning.com/video/shaker-cards-part-2-1
Also Gina is giving away a stamp set (value 24.95 or less) for one lucky commenter along the hop tonight so make sure to leave everyone a little bit of love and you may win!!!
I also decided to use the 'black magic technique' from this weeks monday challenge - and yes you can find info on how to do this technique along the right hand sidebar at Stamp TV.
I used the Fanciful Fall set. Stamped the images in white and let them dry - then colored over them with prismacolor pencils. The shaker section is the white card base sponged with distress inks and stamped over the top. I used orange seed beads for both cards.
The 'black magic' on the first card was done on dark brown cardstock and the sponged section - for the second card it was done onto kraft cardstock and black for behind the shaker.
Before I show you a bit about how I did my shakers I will show you where to head next on the hop....
Next up is the talented Sharri - www.istamp4u.blogspot.com/2011/09/were-shaking-it.html
Have fun!!!!!
Have fun!!!!!
The first picture shows the plastic piece I used for the first shaker card - I use double sided tape to stick it down.
I can often find one of my Spellbinders dies that will be a close fit for cutting a hole for the shaker part (next pic) but if not then I just measure and use my exacto knife(or scissors)
Sometimes if its not a perfect fit I will add little strips of matching cardstock so it blends in better.
Sometimes if its not a perfect fit I will add little strips of matching cardstock so it blends in better.
And the last pic shows how I taped everything down so I could sponge the opening.....

Mark's Finest Paper challenge
Hallo,
Welcome to friday everyone!!!!
Got a big part of my house cleaning sone yesterday so only a little to do today and then some stamping....
I finishd off this card yesterday for a challenge over at Mark's Finest Paper blog. Check it out here - http://www.marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com/
The challenge was to do a 1 layer card. I only have one stamp set from MFP so far so would really love to win more :)
I used the left over paper from after cutting out a Spellbinders die and sponged distress ink inside - tea dye and walnut stain, and then a bit of gray (memento london fog) around the outside. I stamped the stamps - from MFP and colored them with copics. I just love this kitten - he looks like he is attacking the pumpkin!!!
Lastly I used some tulip - liquid beads in black to create a border for the main image.
All for now - check back later this evening as I will have another post up later for the Stamp TV CSS blog hop (there's a free stamp set being given away!!!! - just sayin.....)

Grandma's Christmas
Hallo,
A rainy day in Florida today - when I went out to do errands I was just ahead of the rain for the first 3 ....it would be sprinkling and then I would drive on ahead of it to the next stop but it eventually caught up to me - major downpour!!!!
I got errands done, sdome house cleaning done and then was able to play....
I had colored Grandma here up while sitting on the couch last night, so all I had to do was put the card together today :). Colored with copics.
I did this card for the current challenge over at Phindys for 'Christmas'. My Grandma always baked like crazy for Christmas so I colored her up in Christmas colors last night and added some Christmas paper, some Spellbinders dies and some viva decor pen for accents around the main die and the corners.
The Phrase is embossed in red and is from Flourishes.
Check out Phindys challenge and all the inspiration from the DT here - www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com
All for me today - adding some Halloween stuff to the Etsy store tonight if anyone wants to look :) and maybe shop :).....

Sweet witchy Halloween
Hallo,
A short sleep for me today - first day off, errands to run, the kids have a swim meet... :)
I did this sweet little witch for the current challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers which is for favorite colors. Although I always love purple/teals and tourquoise coming into fall I am really into fall colors right now. Check out the challenge, DT inspiration and the prize here - http://www.sweetpeastampschallenge.blogspot.com/
She is colored with copics and cut out with a Spellbinders die. I edged the die with copper metallic pen.
Layered onto some MS patterned paper and used some coordinating MS stickers.
The phrase makes me chuckle a bit - it is from DSR Designs - embossed in black on shimmery copper colored paper and framed with part of a Spellbinders fancy tag cut in half.
All for this morning - off for a short walk with my pooch and then a nap......

Mo's Mr. & Mrs.
Hallo,
Just a short little post this am before I take my pooch for a short walk and head to bed for the day...
I did this card for the current challenge over at Mo's which is for 'Celebration'. Check out the challenge and all the Design Team inspiration here - http://www.mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/
I colored the lovely couple with prismacolor pencils and cut them out using an out-of-the-box(die) technique, and edged that panel with silver mettalic pen. I layered the main panel to a shimmery pinkish and then a shimmery silver panel, the next layer is a patterned paper of light pink with grey flourishes and is slightly shimmery too, and finally gray base cardstock.
