Hallo,
Another night of work behind me, and 3 nights off ahead of me!!! :)
A quick walk with my puppy, a note here and a nap will be the plan for the morning and early afternoon. My teens are off school starting today - one is in house with one of his buddies staying over to play xbox and DD is over at a friends till this afternoon. Then I am going to torture them into some house cleaning and maybe some yard work :) (although it is pretty chilly here this am...)
I have for you today another of the rhinestone ornaments - the base of which is a rubber stamp from Outlines, embellished with rhinestones.
I stamped and embossed in silver on a white shimmery paper and glued 2 back to back.
I then glued rhinestones to both sides with chrystal laquer. I added a vintage earring to the center of one side and a larger rhinestone to the other.
I then used a beaded piece as a hanger.
It sparkles very nice in the sun or the lights of the tree!!!
All for this morning....sleepy.....

Glitzy Sparkles
Hallo,
Just a short post and off to bed for me - sposed to rain today so that will make some nice sleeping weather :)
I have a couple more ornaments to show you today that I finished off in the last couple days.
I again used the jewel ornament topper from Outlines stamps. I glued 2 back to back and then fully rhinestoned them and then added some vinatage sparkleys to the centers. Both of them used to be old earrings.
On the second one I used an length of faux pearls and beads as part of the hanging device.
All for today - one more night to work then the weekend off!!

Ornament Mania

Hallo,
Well I have been absent from my blog but keeping very busy!!!
I worked Thanksgiving so we had our family turkey dinner on Sunday that weekend, this last week I had several doctor/dentist appointments (I broke a crown, not fixable so it will have to be pulled - set for Jan. then I finally broke down and went to see a specialist for my tummy issues - IBS - as I thought but Doc had some hints for me and a couple new things to try abd a procedure to rule out da bad stuff - Also set for jan...)
And inbetween all that was trying to get a bunch of Christmas ornaments done for my last craft fair which was today. All my stuff is still in the car - was too tired to unload it tonight :)
The topper for these ornaments starts with a rubber stamp from Outlines embossed in gold or silver and cut out mostly by hand. The middle circle is done with a Spellbinders die that is the perfect size.
Next I take rhinestone chrystals and some chrystal laquer and glue all the rhinestones into the spotson the cardstock.
I used beaded trims for the dangling beads - cut them apart, put a dot of chrystal laquer on each to hold the string in place and then glued them onto the 6 points of the topper..
For the bulbs I sprayed each with 2 layers of acrylic spray and 2 layers of glitter spray - adds a bit of sparkle and it also helps to make them a bit less breakable :)
As you can see I had a lot of fun with different color combos - in all I have done about 3 dozen so far - I have another 3 dozen bulbs waiting and I am determined to get them all finished before putting them back in storage.....after I get my Christmas cards finished......
Well I sold a few today, a few will be sent to family, a couiple for my tree and then I will put a bunch up on my Etsy site this weekend....
All for tonight - Take Care

Spring Nest
Hallo,Have you ever felt like you had to drag yourself around by the scruff of the neck to just keep moving....I have been like that all week long for no apparent reason.....and I have holes in my blog for the first time in a loonng time :( pout.
I worked mon/tuesday nights and then only got about 2 hours sleep wednesday am because I wanted to go to lunch with a friend and then had erands to do....didn't get much of anything done on thursday or friday before work either.
Slept all day yesterday and slept good too - then got put on call for work so I figured I would be up half the night but nooo, I went back to bed at 11 when DH did and slept ALL night - I guess I needed to catch up or something.
Well the weather has been so awesome here in NW Florida - warm with a bit of a cool breaze and sunny, even the humidity has been low since the thunderstorms of friday moved out!!!
I colored this image last night and then finished it up this am after a walk and breakfast. I would love to go back to the craft room but then again with the weather so nice it would be great to sit on my porch with a good book too!!!...maybe a bit of each :)
I did this card for the current challenge over at the Outlines blog - www.outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com - the challenge is for spring . I colored the image with prismacolor pencils - I did trim it down a bit to fit on this 5x5 card. Added some prima flowers and gold centers with a viva decor pen.
By the way if you like Outlines stamps you need to go shop now - I got their latest newsletter and they are closing up shop, so get them while you can. I bought my first Outlines stamp over 15 years ago so I am sad to see them go!!!! I have really enjoyed playing with their challenges lately too!!! Ahh well I guess all good things must end......
All for today - my porch is calling and then maybe some more craft room time - Have a great week!!!

Happy Eggs
Hallo,What a beautiul day we had here in NW Florida - warm and sunny!!! I did several hours of yard work this am - planted some plants and raked some leaves (we have oak trees here in the south that shed their leaves a bit in the fall but even more so in the spring).
I would so much rather do yard work than house work on a day like today - course come summer here in Fl. then not so much (not at all in reality - too HOT)
Well todays project is for the current challenge over at the Outlines blog for 'Easter'. I have had these in the works for several fays but just managed to finally finish them today. I found the eggs at A.C. Moore already colored and with the white stem/hanger on them. I added stamps from Outlines - flowers that I stamped onto patterned paper, embossed and cut out. I added some accents with viva decor pens too.

Irish bookmarks
Hallo,Well I am up an moving for the day and took a few minutes to finish up these book marks for the current challenge over at the Outlines blog.
The challenge was for 'St. Patty's Day' and you can check it out here - www.outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com
I didn't have any Outlines stamps with an Irish theme so I went all green instead and in more ways than one :)
These coener bookmarks were made all with scraps pulled from my scrap drawer.
They are super easy to make - you start with a 4" X 4" square and fold over 2 corners at the 2 inch mark. Next take a 2 and 3/4 in square and cut it in half - and glue it to the back to hold the fold overs in place. Then decorate.
I used several of Outlines flower stamps and paper piecing to decorate mine - alone with some Spellbinbers dies for the edges.
I embossed them in gold and cut them out and layered them on top of each other.
I like to keep the bookmarks fairly simple, because otherwise they get to thick for the corners of the book.
All for today folks - back to the craft room for me - :) Happy ME!!!

Treasure Box
Hallo,I finished off this box today among my other errands - groceries, lunch with DH :), and taking my old pooch to the vet (he has an earache)
This is an altered cigar box and it fits perfectly for this weks challenge over at the Outlines blog - the challenge this week is to do something square. Check out the challenge here - http://www.outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com/
I stamped this stamp from Outlines several times and embossed with gold and then colored them with copics.
Then I cut them apart and used them to decorate this box that I had covered with pretty pink papers.
I added some pearls from a viva decor pearl pen.
The spool was first colored with a gold mettalic pen (all the paper edges are lined with the gold mettalic pen too) and then I added some amtching paper to the middle.

The inside bottom and sides of the box are lined with pink felt and then I added a mirror to the lid.
I thought it made for a very girly treasure box :)
All for today - need to get ready for
work now - first of probably 3 in a row (I volunteered for wednesday night too if they need me and with one of our co-workers out with surgery it is almost assured that they will need me)

Outlines red, black and white
Hallo,I managed to finish off this little frame project today - this first picture is the before picture....I took out the picture in it and replaced it with my own creation.
All the stamps are from Outlines Rubber Stamps. I used several of the flowers and stamped them onto red and black Designer Papers and cut them out.
I then took and coated them all with chrystal laquer to make them sturdier and bendable, and then I layered them and put them together with decorative brads.
More Outlines stamps are stamped onto the vellum and layered on top more DP.

I added a bit of gold rub on to the frame too and a coat of acrylic sealer.
This project fits for this weeks challenge over at Outlines for red, black and white.
Check it out here - www.outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com
