Beach scene box - 1
Hallo,
Another box for you today - different style box but same as yesterday - turquoise crackle paint finish with a beachy encaustic wax painting on the lid. And again I forgot to get a pic with the new hardware - added a latch that was a bit sturdier and more fancy than what came original on the box.
The last pic shows the finished painting...

Box 2 - beach scene
Hallo,
I thought it was about time I showed you this box. I finished it off some time ago....the only picture I didn't get was with the new front latch hardware. I changed it out to one a bit fancier and more sturdy. And I did clean up the mirror and added a couple small seashells onto the lower left corner of the mirror .
I took a plain wood box from JoAnn's and used a crackle type paint finish on it and painted the top white(with encaustic gesso). I then took the box to my studio and did an encaustic wax painting onto the lid - its the last picture - kind of a beach scene to go with the box color.

Christmas Bulebirds
Hallo,
Well as you may have noticed, this is the same stamp as I used for the Christmas cardinals post only in a different color this time to make 'Bluebirds'. It is a really pretty set from Flourishes - sadly no longer in business.
Taking the day to run errands and clean house so I guess I better get started.

More Christmas cards
Hallo,
A few miscellaneous themed cards today - anyone have cats as pets. I have 2 but they are both about 10 years old now and hardly even notice the tree - the pups are a different matter. My younger dog 'Duke' has already 'opened' 2 packages.....my older dog hasn't bothered them this year. The pups are 3 and 5 years old so maybe settling down a bit also....
All the images are colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils(my sets are all mixed together...)
I mostly use cryogen white cardstock as it is a nice smooth cardstock and great for coloring both with pencil and copics.
All for today ya'll

Bethleham cards
Hallo,
Just a few more Christmas cards for you today - sorry the second one is a bit blurry - was trying to get all the photos done so I could get them in the mail. I was a bit later getting my cards out this year than usual.
Off to work I go....

Christmas Cardinals
Hallo,
Well it has been awhile again since I posted but I have been busy. I started my Christmas cards months ago by coloring up the main images while relaxing on the couch in the evenings - that part takes the longest. Then I spent a couple evenings cutting out the snowflakes with my cuttlebug - I used left over cardstock from my Daughters wedding invitations. The white and teal are a beautiful sparkley paper and made great snowflakes.
Then it took me several days(before and after work) to put them all together - 58 total handmade this year so you will be seeing several more posts of Christmas cards this week!!!
It feels like it has been a busy fall - Only did one craft market this year as a seller and several as a 'buyer' (but didn't buy too much)
My Daughter was home for Thanksgiving - the Hubbys Birthday was on Thanksgiving this year so she surprised him. Was nice to have her home - too bad her Hubby Josh couldn't make it as he is deployed right now....
Really haven't been up to much else - hobbling around with my cane, I finally have a date to get my left knee replaced. Jan 7th. It will be nice to have 2 good knees again!!!!
All for today - Take Care
