Winter Whites

Hallo,
I am joining in on the new challenge for the month on the Paper Temptress Facebook page.
The theme is 'Winter Whites' and we are sponsored this month by ADFD (A Day for Daisies) - http://www.adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/
I colored this sweet image from ADFD called 'Lucky Wishes" with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
The background paper I used is called 'Silver Luster' from Paper Temptress and it is really pretty and shimmery. I also used cryogen white to color my image - also from Paper Temptress - and it is my favorite paper to color with - both with pencils and markers!!! I also glittered up some cryogen white for the letters.
Check out these and more yummy papers here - http://papertemptress.com/
I added a bunch of pretties from my stash - some white beaded ribbon, a white pearly circle and some white and off white flowers too.
Now hope on over to Facebook and join in on our challenge this month!!!! Just go to the Paper Temptress page, like, make and have fun!!!!

DFD - Birdie sweet

Hallo,
Another rainy day here in NW Florida - makes for a great crafting day (although I should do some cleaning....) and I do need to run out and do a couple errands too....hoping for at least a short break in the rain to get the pups for a walk since I work tonight and they will only get a short walk tomorrow too(if that because it looks to be raining all day tomorrow too...)
Well I have another in the Tarot/reading card series for you today and this time I used a beautiful image from  ADFD - A Day for Daisies. I colored her up with prismacolor pencils onto Neenah Desert Storm (a nice smooth kraft colored cardstock). I edged the layers both with gold metallic pen and added some gold flower stickers too.
I am entering her in the current challenge over at ADFD which is for 'Anything Goes' - pop over here and join in - http://www.adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/

The back is done with stamps from Papertrey Ink - embossed in black onto the shimmery gold cardstock to match the others in the set.
Well its about time to get off the computer and do something a bit more productive :)

Pretty in blue - wedding gift box

 Hallo,
Just popping in for a bit before going to work tonight, sleep was short today between the comings and goings of the fam and the puppies (babysitting a friends dog for a few days) .
I haven't been very good at posting regular lately - the end of the school year for my DS who is a Senior so a few events and stuff working up to Graduation and my DD is home for a short month before headed to Europe with ROTC for a month this summer.....my house is very cluttered and disorganized lately :)
I did this box for a friend to give as a wedding present. I love it when I can do these to match the couples colors or theme :) - She even passed on the invitation to me and I put it on the inside of the lid.
The main image is from 'A Day for Daisies' ( ADFD) and is colored with prismacolor pencils. I used Spellbinders dies to cut the image and the layer under it.  Check out  ADFD here - http://www.adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/
Inside the box is a 5 by 8 inch memory book and a card - all matching :) The blue flowers is a ribbon that was originally white and I used inks to dye it to match - When I found this flower ribbon on sale I stocked up just so I would have plenty to use - I have rarely used it white :).
All for today - my guest puppy's Mom should be here to pick him up soon - dogs are so wonderful - he was very happy to stay with us as he loves my dog but when I started gathering up his things to send home you should have seen how excited he got :) so cute :)!!!
   Have a great day!!!!

Baby Girl keepsake box and memory book.

Hallo,
Just a quick post here before heading to work tonight!!! My Hubby's niece just had a sweet little baby girl - the first girl for Grandma Joyce :)
I love making these boxes - it is an altered box with a matching memory book.
The digital image I used this time is from 'A Day for Daisies' and you can find it here - http://adayfordaisies.blogspot.com/search/label/challenges
I colored her with prismacolor pencils, cut her out with a Spellbinders die and edged her and the edges of the papers with a metallic gold pen.
A few pretty ribbons and some gold accents with a gold viva décor pen too.
All for today - need to get off to work now....
