Wolf stare

YAAAWWNNN,
   Oh Hallo,
  work, sleep, work again....
Another wonderful Sweet Pea Stamps image for you this am from Rebecca Sinz called 'Predatory'
I colored it with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I haven't pulled out this image in a long time and really love the wolf and love how he turned out this time!!!
We have a 'Wolf preserve' a couple hour from us here in NW Florida and one of these days I am going to save up enough money to go over and take pictures for the day - Love wolves!!!
We used to see coyotes a lot growing up on the farm in Nebraska and one of our dogs growing up was half coyote, but the only time I have seen a wolf in the wild was a couple times in Alaska and only from far away.
This card is another in my reading card series and the main image is backed with a shimmery gold cardstock, both layers edged with gold metallic pen and I added some gold corner stickers too.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey  Ink.
Well off to bed with me - Take Care

Butterfly Wings

Hallo,
I have 2 versions of this lovely image to show you today - its a Sweet Pea Stamps image called 'Beautiful' by Holly Durr and I just had to do her up twice.
She is colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and after I had her mounted on the gold cardstock I added some glitter to her wings.
Both layers are edged with a gold metallic pen and I also added some gold corner stickers for accents.
The back of these cards are stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
Not too much new here this Monday morning - walked the pups, need to do my stretches and then maybe do some cleaning - but I don't have a lot of energy this am might just end up working on the rug for my Mom or coloring....
My van which has been in the shop for almost 3 weeks should be done today - crossing my fingers that it is finally fixed - for real this time :)
And after a short weekend off I do have to work tonight....and tomorrow night....
  Have a great Monday ya'll

Silentness

Hallo,
Well I guess I am up and moving for the day - slept better for my few hours today than I did all day yesterday but if I would have stayed in bed much longer I would have not slept tonight so time to get a move on.
I don't feel like cleaning and its too hot outside to pull weeds, so I am headed to the couch to work on a rug I am making for my Mom for her Birthday - it will be a bit late, but when my DD and I drive up to take her back to college then I will bring it with me - which means I have just short of a month to get it done.....
I also have some coloring that needs to get done and need to start working on stuff for a class I am teaching in September with our local CLL _ Center for LifeLong Learning - all volunteer group and we have classes on everything from politics, history, religion, knitting, photography, dancing, geology, art, various arts and crafts and even skeet shooting - great place to learn something new for not a whole lotta money (instructors and admin are all volunteer but it does cost us money to rent rooms for classrooms and such :).
Todays pretty is another in the reading card series and uses an image from Sweet Pea Stamps artist - Ching Chou Kuik called 'Silentness" .
I colored her with prismcolor and polychrome pencils and then edged both layers with gold metallic pen. I added some gold stickers for accents too.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
Well better get busy here - Have a great day!!!

Unicorns

Hallo,
Well I am up and moving, HOT and HUMID and almost no breeze whatsoever here this am...the pups took me for a short walk and my day has begun....
I will be helping with the am session of the kids art camp at ADSO (Arts and Design Society) this am, then lunch with my DD and a nap before working tonight....
I had great plans for crossing things off my to do list yesterday but got almost none of them done....just didn't have the energy .....besides I took a look at the rug I am making for my Mom and realized that I am only half done and have only  a month to go till I need to have it done....so I worked on the rug for a couple hours and then finished off a couple things in my craft room including these 2 projects - 2 more to add to the 'reading card' stash. I am only about 15 of these away from having them all done (for a 50 card deck plus about 10 extra so she can pick and chose a bit...)
Both these cards were done with the same image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This is an image by Rebecca Sinz called 'Midnight Travelers' and as usual I couldn't decide how to color them first so I did 2 different versions.
For this first card I went with a gold unicorn and a rainbow colored mane and the second one I did a more traditional white unicorn. I added some glitter to the unicorns mane, horn and feet, edged both panels with gold metallic pen and added some gold corner stickers too.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.

Hummingbird

Hallo,
Another HOT and STEAMY morning here in NW Florida - even the dogs where glad to be home after only a half hour walk this am - woozers - this weekend the heat index was around 120 degrees......
I have a sweet image from Sweet Pea Stamps for you this am called 'Dark Lilies' by Ching Chou Kuik. I colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I mounted the image to some gold shimmery paper and edged both panels with gold metallic pen. I added some gold corner stickers for some accent.
The back of this card is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
I am off to the studio today for most of the day and then an errand or 2 on the way home - hopefully tomorrow I will get some time in my craft room too.

Cross

Hallo,
Long weekend  at work - not too much sleep .....
Another in the reading card series... a very simple one that I really like how it turned out.
This was done on watercolor paper - I embossed a stamp from 'Our Daily Bread Designs' with distress embossing powder in a bronze color and then used some glimmer mist spray on it.
I edged both layers with gold metallic pen and used gold corner stickers as an accent .
The back layer is a gold shimmery paper stamped/embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
A bit of sleep this am and now trying to get my butt in gear and get a few things done....its a rainy afternoon so all I really want to do is head for the craft room :)

Fairy Owl

Hallo,
Trying to decide if I want to go back outside and do yard work this am - I really should...but my morning walk - all of 35 minutes - brought me back totally sweated out and  I am really not in the mood...
My DD and I went and saw the movie 'MAX' about the military working dog  - really good, I almost thought they were going to let the dog die at the end and I would have been really mad but he didn't so that was good :)
Another in the reading card series for you today.
I used 'Will-O and the wisps' by Norma J. Burnell over at Sweet Pea Stamps and colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I just love this little owl - so cute!!!
I layered the main panel to a gold cardstock, edged both panels with gold metallic pen and added some gold corner stickers.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
All for today - I am thinking I will just do some house work (boy it really must be hot for me to CHOOSE housework!!)

Sweet Turtle Mermaid

Hallo,
Pre-posting for you today - home from work in the am to hopefully have enough energy to do a set of stretches before I cozy up in my bed for the day and back to work tonight....
Another 'reading card' for you today - making these up for someone who wanted her own pretty deck of cards to meditate and do 'readings' with. I am not typically into that myself but more than happy to play with my pretties and make something pretty for someone else!!!
This image is from Sweet Pea Stamps artist 'Aurora Wings ' called 'Sea turtle kiss' and I colored her up with prismacolor pencils.
I layered her to a gold shimmery cardstock and edged both layers with gold metallic pen and then added a couple stickers for accents.
I have used this sweet image a lot - she is just adorable!!!
All for now - Take Care

Blue Dragon

Hallo,
Well I had a good weekend - spent most of the day yesterday in my craft room while it was thunderbooming and raining outside and got a fair amount finished.
Not raining this am yet so took the pups for a quick walk (looks like its a 'fixin' to rain :) and so now some house work and maybe a bit of yard work if the rain holds off a bit - then later a nap before heading into work tonight....
Another in the reading card series - more than half way done now.....
This sweet image is from Sweet Pea Stamps artist Rebecca Sinz and is called 'Blue Companion'
I colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and edged both layers with gold metallic pen.
The bottom layer is a gold shimmery cardstock that I stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink. Lastly I added a couple gold stickers for accents.
All for this am - will see if I can get some tasks accomplished outside my craft room today :)

The Enchanted

Hallo,
Well a rainy, muggy Sunday morning here in NW Florida... we got out for about an hour walk with the pups and we were hearing thunderboomers for the last 10 minutes or so of our walk and the rain started before we had even been home 5 minutes.
I am planning for a relatively lazy day as we stayed up late watching an old 'Terminator ' movie and the dogs had us up and out the door by 7...cant do yard work or get in the pool so its to the craft room I go this am :)
Todays project is another of the reading card series with a newer image from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'The Enchanted' by Molly Harrison.
I colored this one with polychrome pencils and added just a bit of glitter to their wings. I really like this dragon and the fairies wings too!!!
Mounted the image panel to some gold shimmery cardstock and edged both layers with gold metallic pen.
The back of the gold cardstock is stamped/embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink. and lastly I added some gold corner stickers.
All for this am - time to head for the craft room!!!

All Aboard

Hallo,
Pre-posting for today as I worked last night....I didn't finish cleaning in my bathroom yesterday like I planned but instead cleaned off my patio as it wasn't quite as hot as normal yesterday am so I took advantage of it to work outside (believe me I REALLY need to pulls weeds but the patio really needed to get done too!!)
A cool image here today by Sweet Pea Stamps artist Holly Durr called 'All Aboard'. I colored her with polychrome pencils and layered her to a shimmery gold cardstock (both panels edged with gold metallic pen) and added some gold corner stickers.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.

Wild and 'Feral'

Hallo,
Well I am up and moving this am and that says a lot....pups got a short walk and now to get up the energy to keep moving :)
I need to finish deep cleaning my bathroom - have one wall to do and 2 cabinets....and my knees are already sore from climbing up and down the step ladder yesterday....
I managed to get a fair amount done yesterday - most of my bathroom deep cleaned and my 'dining room'/ancillary craft room put back the way it was before the windows (actually a little better organized than it was - and I even threw a couple things away......sigh.....I just know next week I will have some great idea for the stuff I threw away!!!)
Todays project is another of the reading cards - making headway on these, hope to have them all done soon....
This pretty image is from Sweet Pea Stamps artist Rebecca Sinz and I colored it with a combination of prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I layered the main image to a gold shimmery cardstock and edged both panels with gold metallic pen. I added some stickers for accent and the back of the card is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.

Steampunk Rose - red

Hallo,
Pre-posting for this am as its going to be a busy day and a busy week.....
After getting a bit of sleep this am my DD and I are going to go grocery shopping - she likes to cook and is looking forward to cooking us some healthy stuff, and then we still need to work on clearing some of the windows of schtuff because tomorrow they are coming to replace all the windows on our house....
Showing you today the same image as yesterday - only colored a bit different.
Its a steampunk style rose from Rick St. Dennis and I colored it with polychrome pencils. I added a bit of glitter to the bug, rose and cobweb and blended the background a bit with OMS.
Backed the main image with a gold shimmery cardstock and edged both layers with a gold metallic pen.
Lastly I added some gold corner stickers for accents.
