Hallo,
Just a short post and off to bed for me - sposed to rain today so that will make some nice sleeping weather :)
I have a couple more ornaments to show you today that I finished off in the last couple days.
I again used the jewel ornament topper from Outlines stamps. I glued 2 back to back and then fully rhinestoned them and then added some vinatage sparkleys to the centers. Both of them used to be old earrings.
On the second one I used an length of faux pearls and beads as part of the hanging device.
All for today - one more night to work then the weekend off!!

Shiny, Glittery, Sparkly.....
Hallo,I am trying to finish up some last minute Christmas gifts - these 2 ornaments are for a couple co-workers. I just so happens that these fit for this weeks challenge over at the Outlines blog too - for shiny and bright - check it out here - www.outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com
I used the newest of my ornament toppers from Outlines and embossed with glittery embossing tinsel onto different color shimmer paper. Today I am showing you the blue and the red.
Once I cut out the 2 layers I used chrystal laquer and added the rhinestones. Once those had dried I added the beads - these come from pieces of beaded trim and I just cut it apart for each individual bead strand and then used the chrystal laquer again to glue them on the back (the Outlines blog has some great pics of how the back looks - how to attatch the bead strands - I am headed to work and forgot to take pics of the backs....)
I had done some of these ornaments with charms and jump rings but this way is so much easier!!!
For the blue ornament I used blue strands alternating with gold beaded strands and then put the topper onto a gold ornament. For the red ornaments I alternated short and long strands of the red bead strands and also used a gold bulb.
All for today - need to try and catch a short nap before heading off to work tonight - Have a great weekend!!!!

Swim Team and School ornaments
Hallo,Showing you a few ornaments that I made tonight.
I started out to make an ornament with swim team sweatshirt charms for my DS and his buddy, then I added on an ornament for DS's buddys younger sister, as she is on the MS swim team which both DS and his buddy help coach.... then of course I added one for younger brother and their Mom too.
The charms on all but the purple one are made from shrink paper, rubber stamps and colored pencils.
The dolphins on the first one is the neighborhood grade schools mascot.
For the purple ones charms I used premade jewerly charms I found at HL.I am not sure what company makes the dolphin stamp as it is really old, much used and has worn off the wood mount.
The sweatshirt stamps are from Gina K's 'Sporty Tee's set - green and white for the HS and black and gold for the MS.
The ornament topper is accually the Spellbinders Snowflake pendant with one of the smaller snowflakes to cut out the center.
A bit of glitter, some small beads for inside the ornaments and ....done...
All for tonight - Take Care

Drummer Boy Ornaments
Hallo,A little quiet time for me this am before I rouse the kiddos to go to church....
I won't get much stamping/blogging time today as I am determined to finish off the sanding today!!! I put in about 5 and 1/2 hours sanding yesterday (and about 4 on friday) - my arms were so sore last night - still a bit of an ache this am but not too bad. I only have about 6 cabinet doors and the bottom cabinets in the house to finish rough sanding and then do some finer sanding but it will still take me most of the day.....
I am hopeing the staining and finishing will only take a couple days......then I have to paint.....
All I can say it #1 This had better be worth it!!!!
#2 This will definatly cure me from thinking of any big decorating projects for awhile.!!!! LOL
Anyway - todays pics are some ornaments that I bought plain at Hobby Lobby. They had a nice matte finish so were easy to stamp on.I used the 'Drummer boy' set from Flourishes and colored them with my copics. The markers didn't blend as nice and tended to streak just a bit on these ornaments but I still liked the way they turned out!!!
I sealed them with some gold toned modge podge.
I did try coloring one with my prismacolor pencils and it didn't turn out as well and then the modge podge made the colors smear just a bit.
I want to give my twinks a try on these next (Tinkling H2O's). maybe I can get my major decorating project done in time to have some time to stamp next weekend.....
All for today - time to get a moving for me ....
