Swoosh

Hallo,

Backposting once again today - almost caught up with the right day :).

I did this card for 2 different challenges.

The first challenge is for Phindys which was to make your own embellishments. I used glitter foam and cut out snowflakes with Spellbinders dies. Check out the challenge here - http://www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com/ for a ton of inspiration.

This cute Phindys image is colored with copics. I colored her with bluegreens to match this weeks challenge over at Copics Creations - www.copiccreations.wordpress.com ......durn, missed that one, thought I had another day, ahh well - I like her colored in the BG's anyway....

All for today - need to run for some groceries and then hopefully back to the craft room!!!

More bookmarks

Hallo,
Showing you another batch of bookmarks for the challenge over at Copic Creation - www.copiccreations.wordpress.com
Sponsering the challenge this time is childrens author Elizabeth O. Dulemba and all the images are from her website - they are free BTW so check it out!!!
They are all colored with copics of course, cut out and layered to clear plastic sheets that can with sets of clear stamps - recycle/reuse :).

Not too much new to tell you - my old cat Fancy is doing a whole lot better - she is one tough little cookie (I really thought I was going to lose her on tuesday ).
The kiddos are at a ROTC car wash this am and I am going to try to do a few chores around the house and yard (probably house as the heat index even at 7pm last night was still 96 degrees....)

Let's Read

Hallo,
My couch time coloring has paid off this week. I am preposting this for you as I worked last night and again tonight - and am probably sleeping by now :)
I did this batch of bookmarks for a challenge over at Copic Creations - the challenge was a reading theme and the sponser this time is children's author Elizabeth O. Dulemba. On her site she also has a ton of great digital images for free - so all these bookmarks are her images.
They are all colored with copics.
The first bookmark is kinda a regular one and it will be for one of my co-workers Grandbabys who is 4 and just starting to learn to read.
The other bookmarks are all done with clear acrylic sheets (you know the ones clear stamps come on - recycle/reuse :) and they will go to my Niece and Nephew in Wyoming to start school with.
For more info on this challenge or about the sponser, pop on over to www.copiccreations.wordpress.com
I will probably have another batch of bookmarks for you later in the week - they are still in process.....
All for now - supper is cooking and now I have to get ready for work....
Take Care
Tera

Sweet Evening Friends

Hallo,
Here's a quick card for you this am before I head off to sleep. I did this card for a challenge on Copic Creations shortly after I found Sweet Pea Stamps as well as Copic Creations. The challenge was for monochrome and I used copic cool grays.
I just love this Sweet Pea image with the cat - so sweet. But then I love my kitty - my Fancy cat is 19 and 1/2 years old and sleeps most nights/days right next to my pillow or curled up in the crock of my arm. (very spoiled)
I paired her up with some subtle black and white DP and several Spellbinders labels dies and a tag die. I added a few white and black pearls for accents.
All for today - one more day(night...) to work and then 5 off!!!!!
Take Care
Tera

Let's do......lunch

Hallo,
Well as you might be able to tell - I was in bit of a strange mood yesterday...
The main image was a free download from Whimsy stamps and so I had to play with their challenge here - www.whimsystamps.blogspot.com The challenge was to use one of their stamps with a summer theme and the added option of bugs. Well what says summer better than a frog? The bugs came about by virtue of my own personal challenge to start using up the piles of stuff on my desk and these spiders have been on my desk since last fall (I got them on sale after Halloween)
The second challenge I am using this for is for Technique Junkies - Technique by Design challenge. I used 3 different TJ techniques on this card - the back left hand panel is 'walnut stain resist', the back right panel is from the latest issue of TJ called ' backround whimsy' (is that a coincidence or what?) and the main image from Whimsy stamps is colored using the 'Van Gogh' technique.

And the third challenge is for Copic Creations which is 'animals' - find out more here - www.copiccreations.wordpress.com
I did write down all the copic colors I used - I am trying to get better about that - alas I lost my list.....probably under one of those piles on my desk....
All for today ya'll - gotta get the ol rear in gear and get a couple chores done before my pre-night shift nap....
Have a great weekend!!!!
