Sweet Posey

Hallo,
Well I managed to get my house cleaned yesterday with some minimal assistance from the teens....and a small bit of yard work....and then after lunch another couple errands run...so that makes for less errands for me to accomplish today :)
Hopefully the rain will hold off a bit here and I can do a bit of yard work after Miss Princess Puppy takes me for a long walk :)
Todays project is using one of my newest images from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'Posey' and I colored her with my copics. I love how she turned out too!!! I haven't used my copics for a couple months now just because they aren't quite as portable as my pencils but I really love them.
I colored her in typical posey flower colors - actually I colored 2 of her and will show you the other one tomorrow. You know me and purples anyway  so it was a fun image to color!!!
I blinged her up a bit with some paper flowers that I colored to match with glimmer mist in teals and purple, added some gold sticker pearls, ribbons and teal pearl drops with a viva décor pen.
Well better get a move on here - DH's Mom arrives tonight and the rest of the crew tomorrow in several batches...
   Have a great week!!!

Mermaid Briefcase

Hallo,
I finished off this cool briefcase yesterday using 2 mermaid images from Sweet Pea Stamps - they have them both in digital and rubber stamp form.
Check them out here - www.sweetpeastamps.com
The first one is by Norma J Burnell called 'Rayne' and the second is called 'Kiara' by Elaine Cox.
I took a used, but still in good shape briefcase and covered the front and back with some pretty ocean looking paper.
Both the images were colored with prismacolor pencils and cut out with Spellbinders dies. I glued the layered images down along with some seashells, charms and some seed beads. To do all the gluing I used a artis....t matte gel that works similar to modge podge only better. I used it because I ran out of modge podge and discovered that I  like it a lot better. The gel is a bit more expensive but it is easier to work with and dries a bit quicker and smoother than the modge podge....
All for this am - worked last night so its time for some sleep now :)

My Deep Love by Norma Burnell

 Hallo,
I have some AWESOME news that I meant to share with you last week but hadn't gotten there yet...between work and yard work (on a rare nice sunny day ....that I didn't have to work ) and a major coloring frenzy.....well here it is - I am now a member of the Sweet Pea Stamps DT!!!! YIPPPEEE!!!!
My project today is an altered sketch journal.
The image I used is called 'My Deep Love' by Norma Burnell and I colored her with prismacolor pencils. I added a bit of stickles glitter to the pearls in her hair and the seashell and cut her out with a Spellbinders die.
I layered her to some pretty oceany handmade paper and then to the cover of the journal.
I then went a bit wild with beads - using blue and turquoise seed beads and outlined the main image and some of the swirls in the paper.
Lastly I used a  salmon pink viva décor pen that matched the pearls and seashell in her hair perfectly and added a whole bunch of pearls along the swirls in the paper and some in the corners.
All for tonight - Take Care
