Hallo,
Busy day here in Florida land and it only rained twice today for a couple short showers.
Yesterday was a busy one - worked Tuesday night and it was a doozy (kicked my butt - very tired when I got home) slept 4 hours and had to run a couple errands including getting a chipped tooth fixed but today was a whole new day :)
Puppy and I went for a long walk and then the kids and I ran errands, then I finished off this box and memory book combo for an Etsy order. Then my DD and I managed to get the big long white dresser into her room - so my craft room is officially born :) - course it will be another week or so before anything else gets moved in there but its the beginning :)
I did this box for a request off my Etsy shop. I love making these combos, they turn out so cute.
This is a bigger box than I usually use but my client wanted something a bit on the bigger side. This was an unfinished wood box that I got at Mike's (aka Michaels).
I first covered it with cardstock that I had run through a texture folder with gears on it - sanded the paper to show the white core and then rubbed ink over the texture to make it show up even more. I used a teal blue on the outside and brown on the inside. I then used some DP, ribbons, buttons and die cut letters to decorate.
The main image is from 'My Favorite Things' and is colored with prismacolor pencils. I layered the main image to a Spellbinders die cut and then used some teal viva décor pen for accents.
The memory book is a 6X6 inch chipboard book from Tim Holtz and I used matching DP's from the same pack to cover the pages.
All for today - I have another boy box in the works that I hope to finish off tomorrow....we will see as DD wants to go shopping for school/college stuff. We have plenty of time once we get her up to Nebraska as I allowed a week to visit family and bum around getting to know her way around but she is a lot like me in that "I just want to get it all done and not have to worry about it" (problem is, I am not sure how much room she has in her car :)

Baby tiles
Hallo,
Another day of double posts for me - this is the first. And another challenge card too, this one for the current challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms and it is for something Baby.
Amazingly enough with the ton of CHF stamps that I have, I didnot have any baby stamps - hard to believe!!!
So I started going through all my backgrounders to see if there was one I do something babyish with and came across the 'hexagon tiles' and had this idea. It took me a bit to get the letters figured right but I thought they turned out cute.
I had part of a transparency left from other projects that had onsies on it so I divided it between the 2 cards - I added some rhinestone accents to the boy card and some flowers to the girly one.
Check out the challenge here - www.cornishheritagefarms.blogspot.com
All for now - I have pre-posted a second post for today so check it out too :)

Sweet Beginings
Hallo,
Rainy day here and a bit of wind and thunderboomers too - great day to sleep and play in the craft room - but I didn't get much time in the craft room. Once I got up I went over to the local pub to watch the Huskers play - took along some stuff to color (I cannot seem to just sit and watch - have to have something to do!!!)
Tropical storm Lee is bringing us lots of rain - DH emptied about 6 inches out of the pool this am and looks like he'll need to drain more again tonight....
Todays project is one of my baby collections - memory box with memory book, card and embellishments.
This first picture is of the top of the box - its a cigar box that I covered with paper and decorated. This box had some nice wood so I left parts of it showing. The main image is from 'My Favorite Things' as is the phrase. The footed onsie is from 'Impression Obsession' and the regular onsie with phrases is from Gina K. The main image is colored with prismacolor pencils.
The buttons are cut with a die from 'My Favorite Things' using scraps of the same papers I used to cover the box and the book with.
The inside bottom of the box is lined with brown felt.
The book is a chipboard book that has 8 pages (including the covers) and is covered with paper and the front decorated similar to the top of the box.
I made a card to match and cut a bunch of buttons and little onsies so they can be used to decorate the pages.
This gift set will be going up on my Etsy site tomorrow afternoon (or morning if I get to it earlier....).
All for today - Take Care
I for one am enjoying the rain here this weekend - we haven't had much rain lately so its nice to have !!

Hallo,Workin', Workin', Workin' for a livin'......
Here's some onesies I made to match the last gift box and baby book.
I figured they could add whichever one best fit the picture for each page .
This first pic is one of all of them and the next couple are closer pics of small groups of them.
These were all done with stamps from Gina K's 'Wee Tee's' set.
The last pic is the card I made to match the set.All for today - see ya tomorrow with another baby box/book set.

Baby gift box
Hallo,Preposting for ya as I am hoping to get all my yard work/house work/meeting/groceries/laundry done and still have time to get in the craft room to make a few things to show you over the next couple days.
I work the next 2 days.....
Todays project may look familiar as it uses the same theme, stamps, and paper.....it is one of my stash of cigar boxes altered to hold the baby book (it fits inside perfectly).
All the stamps are from Gina K - Wee Tees and Sporty Tees - colored with copics....
The inside of the box is lined with patterned felt - brown.I hope to finish off a card to match today....

Baby Mail
Hallo,There comes a time when cleaning MUST be done I have realized....house cleaning as well as cleaning my crap/ craft room.
I have one more craft fair this friday and then I have vowed to attempt to divide my time more equally among my house/yard chores and my craft room, and I have also decided to restrain myself from aquiring more craft stuff until my craft room is in better shape (might need duck tape for that - I seem to have such good luck at the thrift stores but I am soooo outta room to put the stuff, and my desk is piled high with half finished projects....I have about 6 inches of accual work space as of this moment...).
Anyway in keeping with my early New Years resolutions - this little mailbox has been sitting on my desk half done for over 6 months.....the green layer is the inside from one of last years Christmas cards that I recieved (I liked the color and pattern).
I got inspired when I ran across the beads I had collected on my recent cruise - so I used them here - thought it turned out pretty cute!!!

I also started working on some 6 pack gift boxes for my craft fair next friday - the boxes have been under a table in my craft room since last falls batch of gift boxes - I had glued them together and covered the bottoms of all of them so that when I was ready to use them all I had to do was grab and go.
I will start showing you what I did with them tomorrow - there will be several days worht of them :).
All for tonight - gotta think about starting something for super - I don't mind cooking but I hate decideing what to make....yes I know I am weird....
Take Care
