Penquin Christmas

Hallo,
Just a short post today - have some errands to run, going to get my hair done (and boy does it need it!!!!), some craft time (trying to get enough done to prepost while I am away for my Nursing conferance) and then some pool time with the kiddos.....
Using my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' - this penquin is so fun to color!!! You can find him here - http://www.janlynn.com/ in their holiday section - but don't stop there - they have a ton of great stamps!!!
I colored my penquins - for both cards - with copics. Layers are nesties edged with silver metallic pen.
The phrase (which is hard to see in the photo) is from Gina K.




Those baubles in the corner of this first one are really a light purple to match behind the penquin but for some reason I couldn't get them to show their true color in the photo.
I used this weeks Weekend Sketch for both the cards - WSC92.



I really like this second card better - the phrase is also from Gina K - I guess I just liked the browns better.
In other news - I got a complimantary copy of the Autumn Take Ten in the mail today!!!!! :)
I have 3 cards in this issue!!!! I came in the house waving my magazine and both the kids covered their ears......but I didn't get too noisy this time (learning to control myself a bit :)

Gifty Bluebird

Hallo,
I got some new stamps in the mail the other day from 'Stamps Happen' and just love this little gift birdy so had to play with him first.
I stamped him and colored him with my copics and then went over him with my spica glitter pens. The panel is cut with my nestabilities and both panels edged with red krylon pen.

I used DP from Basic Gray, ribbon from MFT, and the little bling button thingys from Bellastamps....
The phrase is from Gina K.
Today starts a little over a week off for me !!!!!!
I have 3 days to play here at home and then thursday I drive to Savanah Ga. for a weekend Nursing Conferance over the weekend (in Hilton Head). The kids and I still have to decide on something fun to do the next couple days as it will be the last stretch of time before they start back to school.

You Rock!!!

Hallo,
I was really in a lazy mood today - the last 2 days at work were really busy and I only had today off and work 2 more over the weekend......
therefore I didn't do much today - groceries, laundry, blog surfin, and some time in the craft room.....
I had found this cute stamp from Inkadinkado at our local A.C. Moore
last week and couldn't resist playing with it :).
This one I used my brayer and kept it really simple.
The second one I blinged it up a bit with patterned black and white DP and some ribbon and rhinestones.

I liked both of them - but really liked the second one better :).
Well I guess I had better get busy making something to eat for dinner....

Ornamental Bottles

Hallo,
I pulled out a couple more bottles and did some glass etching on monday. I stamped these both with stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms - 'Ornamental Beauty' set and embossed with clear powder before coating with etching cream.
Once I was done etching I made tags for both of them - one with the green and one with the red masterboard sheets from last week.
I am slowly starting to clear some of the 'schtuff' in my craft room (I am down to 3 bottles and 5 cigar boxes - then I will see what I have in the next pile....)
All for today - preposted today as I am working today (after today I only have to work 2 days over the weekend and I have over a week off!!!!!! - then home a couple days and the kids will start back to school!!!! - they are getting really bored!!!)

Masterpiece Frame

Hallo,
Preposting for ya today as I am at work.....only 3 days to work after this till I have a whole week off :)!!!!!!!
This is a small frame - 4X3 - and it looks familiar I am sure....as it is very similar to yesterdays cards!!!
The stamps are all from Cornish Heritage Farms - sets include 'Ornamental Beauty', 'Keys' and a phrase from 'Motivational Centers'.
I am still using up scraps from the masterboard I did last week.

Masterpiece CPS

Hallo,
Just a short note - should try to do some yard work this am but it is seriously TOO HOT!!!! I am soooo ready for fall - I think I will hybernate in the house today again and maybe sneak out to the pool for just a bit.

Ornamental Weekend Sketch

Hallo,
I had some play time this weekend - rainy day on saturday. I decided to make some cards to match the altered cigar box from fridays post.
All stamps are from Cornish Heritage Farms and you can find them here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
I used pieces from a master sheet I created a little over a week ago (I had made copies to have more to play with...). The master uses stamps from the 'Ornamental Beauty ' set and a key from the 'Keys' set. And I added words from several different CHF sets - 'The Art of Framing' and 'Sassy Petites'
