Blue Truck

Hallo,
Just a quick card from me today!!!
I have a ton of errands to run .....
I did this card last week for a challenge over at Stamp TV ( www.stamptv.ning.com )
It will probably be my Fathers Day card for my Step -Dad.....
The stamp is from Gina K and I colored it with copics and spica glitter pens.
All for today - going to be a quiet week here on my blog - I have something for you tomorrow but then you won't see me until the end of next week!!!

Mouse Jingle

Hallo,
Sleep, wonderful sleep!!! :) I slept good yesterday, neck feeling better, and got up and putzed around, felt pretty good. Then... I had promised to take my DS out and start teaching how to drive the stick shift......well that wasn't smart!!! DS did very well for the first time on stick shift but as any who know how to drive stick knows - learning involves a few bunmps and jerky movements along the way. My neck is really not happy this am....

The challenge this time was to 'Adorn with jewels'
The main image is from House Mouse of course - colored with copics and some spica glitter pen on the bells. I added some red rhinestones and some liquid pearls to the snowflakes too.


All for today - gotta get the suitcases out of the attic and start packing for our trip to Alaska. We leave on tuesday and will be there for a week. I am so excited - I lived there for 2 years and the DH lived there for 6 , but we haven't beend there in about 19 years - since we got married.
My big decision is weather to bring the laptop or not......

Outlines - teal flower

Hallo,
Saturday am and I am really looking forward to my bed this morning - I pulled a muscle in my neck somehow a couple days ago and havenot been sleeping well at all - neck is better but still hurts but as tired as I am I don't think it will matter.
I finished this a couple days ago for this weeks challenge over at the Outlines blog. The challenge was a color challenge for teal, brown and white....whoops, didn't leave any white did I.....ahh well.

I stamped the flowers on white cardstock and colored them with copics and then cut them out and laered them. I added some bronze dimesional paint from 'Tulip' to the top flower.
The brown background is glimmer mist.
I stamped 2 phrases with distress embossing powder (they didn't show up quite as well as I had hoped...) - added some teal pearls and layered it all to teal cardstock.
Ok off to bed with me!!!!

Our inspiration this time was the photo above with the beautiful picnic set up . I thought the colors very bright, cheerful and the set up very simply charming....so I went with the colors and tried to keep my card simple!!!
The border is from 'Vintage Borders' and was stamped in red distress ink, the rest are from 'Lovely Shelf' and are colored with copics.
And yes you are not seeing things - I am a bit caddywhompass today - haven't been sleeping well and need to get meself down for a nap right quick as I work tonight......
Well you are at the end of our hop - I hope you enjoyed the ride and found some inspiration along the way!!!

This is my first of 2 posts today - really should be sleeping as I work tonight and couldn't sleep at all last night....ah well to bed soon....

This challenge was a sketch challenge.
The main image is colored with copics and I even used a blue copic to color the little embellie to the left of the main image.
All for me - gotta get my old meow some fluids (under the skin - her kidneys are not in good shape and she gets dehydrated...) and then I am off to bed.....

Flourishes -red, white and blue

Sweet Pea - red and gray wings

Hallo,
Just a quick post as its 1 am (I will backpost for wednesday...) and I am headed back to bed....my first day off often plays havoc with my sleep - come home in the am and sleep anywhere from 4 to 6 hours depending on how tired I am (I set the alarm for 6 hours but often wake up earlier - but not today...) so after sleeping 6 hours when its time for evberyone else in the house to get off to bed I am usally not too tired .....but on my second day off often need to hit the ground running at about 6 am.....blah,blah, blah - so I need to getback to bed here soon.....
First I want to show you another Sweet Pea card that I did for this weeks challenge over at 'In A Sweet Pea Dream' blog - the challenge is for 'wings' - now how easy is that :)!!!!
I colored this pretty with prismacolor pencils and even though I like the colors - I think I will have to do her with copics next time as some of the detail seems to get lost with the pencils on this image......(and I flubbed my coloring some near her hand....)



The reds in the main image really do match the background papers - really - somehow I couldn't get a good pic - it kept making the background papers just a bit more pinkish.....
Cut the main image and panel behind with a Spellbinders die and added some pearl embellishmnets...
