Circle fusion 1 - Zentangle

Hallo,
Showing you a bit of Zentangle for my post today - I started by making circles using a small soda can I had nearby and overlapping the circles.
I then just flipped through my cheat pattern book and pick out ones I liked or thought looked good and doodled away an hour or 2.
Thats one thing I love about Zentangle - relaxing, easy to do and cool results.
I am teaching a class in Zentangle with our local CLL (Center for LifeLong Learning) this fall. I am not a certified instructor yet but we are an all volunteer group and I will have fun sharing what I know.
I mounted the tangle onto gray mat board and framed it up in a 10 by 10 inch frame. I edged the tangle piece with a thin line of black.
All for this am - need to get a nap after wotk here and then maybe later if it cools off any a bit of yard work and maybe a bit of house work....maybe :)

Sitting Lady

Hallo,
Another encaustic wax painting for you before I head off to work.
Again I used a 6 by 6 inch board and some cardstock. Onto the cardstock I transfered some vintage images and then distressed the edges with tea dye inks and glued it to the board.
I layered about 7 to 10 layers of wax and then  added the stencil with some blue (mixed with silver) wax.
I matted this one to black mat board and framed her up in a 10 by 10 inch frame.
I am really enjoying playing with my wax - there are so many possabilities - too bad I dont have more time :) but I will have fun with the time I have :)
  Have a great evening!!!

Lady Blue

Hallo,
Some encaustic wax for you this am - need to get out in the yard and plant some plants but I almost melted on our morning walk so my ambition just isn't there :)
This is a 6 by 6 inch board which I first covered with cardstock that I had done transfers of vintage images onto and then distressed the edges a bit with tea dye inks.
Next came about 7 layers of wax each fused to the layer below with the heat gun. And last I used a stencil and some blue colored wax that I toned down with a bit of silver which turned out really pretty.
I mounted it to some pretty blue suede mat board and then in a 10 by 10 inch black frame.
I have 4 in this series with the blue wax stencil - kinda like the 4 I did in red but I decided to frame each of these separately.
All for this am - better get to planting before it gets too much hotter....

Bubble Mermaid

 Hallo,
Another busy morning for me - off to get my pups for a walk and then off to the studio for my day to play with wax.
This sweet image is from Sweet Pea Stamps of course and I colored her with prismacolor pencils. She is called 'Pearl' and is by Julia Burgess.
I layered her to some shimmery gold cardstock and edged both panels with gold metallic pen.
The back of this reading card is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.

Christmas pug

Hallo,
A sort post this am before I am off to bed to sleep for the day after working .
Our fundraiser over at the Sweet Pea Stamps FB page is still going on through Sunday - any of these adorable pug images sold will donate 95% of sale to Harlee Angels a dog rescue that  specializes in pugs. We are also raffling off  some of the DT projects made with these images  too.
I used this sweet little pug and made a Christmas card. He is colored with polychrome pencils and layered to some pretty Christmasy papers and a silver sticker oval frame. I also used some silver corner stickers and a silver metallic pen.
All for now - Take Care
