Wolf stare

YAAAWWNNN,
   Oh Hallo,
  work, sleep, work again....
Another wonderful Sweet Pea Stamps image for you this am from Rebecca Sinz called 'Predatory'
I colored it with prismacolor and polychrome pencils.
I haven't pulled out this image in a long time and really love the wolf and love how he turned out this time!!!
We have a 'Wolf preserve' a couple hour from us here in NW Florida and one of these days I am going to save up enough money to go over and take pictures for the day - Love wolves!!!
We used to see coyotes a lot growing up on the farm in Nebraska and one of our dogs growing up was half coyote, but the only time I have seen a wolf in the wild was a couple times in Alaska and only from far away.
This card is another in my reading card series and the main image is backed with a shimmery gold cardstock, both layers edged with gold metallic pen and I added some gold corner stickers too.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey  Ink.
Well off to bed with me - Take Care

Butterfly Wings

Hallo,
I have 2 versions of this lovely image to show you today - its a Sweet Pea Stamps image called 'Beautiful' by Holly Durr and I just had to do her up twice.
She is colored with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and after I had her mounted on the gold cardstock I added some glitter to her wings.
Both layers are edged with a gold metallic pen and I also added some gold corner stickers for accents.
The back of these cards are stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
Not too much new here this Monday morning - walked the pups, need to do my stretches and then maybe do some cleaning - but I don't have a lot of energy this am might just end up working on the rug for my Mom or coloring....
My van which has been in the shop for almost 3 weeks should be done today - crossing my fingers that it is finally fixed - for real this time :)
And after a short weekend off I do have to work tonight....and tomorrow night....
  Have a great Monday ya'll

Miss Coral

Hallo,
I have another encaustic wax piece to show you on this hot and steamy florida morning.
The last time I did this mermaid I did her in gold and this time I did her up in coral colors.
I started with another oceany background in encaustic wax and did a photo transfer of the ship, which is an image from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'The Pearl' by Teresa Sherman.
The mermaid is by Selina Fenech and I colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and then embedded her into the wax.
I layered over the ship and mermaid with some plain wax and on the mermaid with some white and blue to look like the water .
Off to lunch with my DD and then maybe some time later today in the pool.
  Have a great day!!!!

Silentness

Hallo,
Well I guess I am up and moving for the day - slept better for my few hours today than I did all day yesterday but if I would have stayed in bed much longer I would have not slept tonight so time to get a move on.
I don't feel like cleaning and its too hot outside to pull weeds, so I am headed to the couch to work on a rug I am making for my Mom for her Birthday - it will be a bit late, but when my DD and I drive up to take her back to college then I will bring it with me - which means I have just short of a month to get it done.....
I also have some coloring that needs to get done and need to start working on stuff for a class I am teaching in September with our local CLL _ Center for LifeLong Learning - all volunteer group and we have classes on everything from politics, history, religion, knitting, photography, dancing, geology, art, various arts and crafts and even skeet shooting - great place to learn something new for not a whole lotta money (instructors and admin are all volunteer but it does cost us money to rent rooms for classrooms and such :).
Todays pretty is another in the reading card series and uses an image from Sweet Pea Stamps artist - Ching Chou Kuik called 'Silentness" .
I colored her with prismcolor and polychrome pencils and then edged both layers with gold metallic pen. I added some gold stickers for accents too.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
Well better get busy here - Have a great day!!!

Mermaid Chrystal

Hallo,
Another encaustic wax mermaid for you today - I have had fun doing these, might have to do a few more yet before its out of my system :)
This is a 12 by 12 board and I started out with a prepared board - which means several layers of white gesso, then about 4/5 layers of plain wax.
Next I used blues, whites and in this one some yellows to do my ocean.
The mermaid is a digital image from Sweet Pea Stamps that is colored with colored pencils (prismacolor and polychrome) and then I cut her out close to the lines.
The ship is a digital image from Digital 2 for Tuesdays and I added him as an image transfer into the wax.
Lastly I added my mermaid and some more white and blue to make her look under water and then  covered the whole piece in a couple coats of clear wax.
The sides are also painted with wax so it doesn't need a frame.
Alrighty its off to bed with me - worked last night and again tonight so off to sleep.

Unicorns

Hallo,
Well I am up and moving, HOT and HUMID and almost no breeze whatsoever here this am...the pups took me for a short walk and my day has begun....
I will be helping with the am session of the kids art camp at ADSO (Arts and Design Society) this am, then lunch with my DD and a nap before working tonight....
I had great plans for crossing things off my to do list yesterday but got almost none of them done....just didn't have the energy .....besides I took a look at the rug I am making for my Mom and realized that I am only half done and have only  a month to go till I need to have it done....so I worked on the rug for a couple hours and then finished off a couple things in my craft room including these 2 projects - 2 more to add to the 'reading card' stash. I am only about 15 of these away from having them all done (for a 50 card deck plus about 10 extra so she can pick and chose a bit...)
Both these cards were done with the same image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This is an image by Rebecca Sinz called 'Midnight Travelers' and as usual I couldn't decide how to color them first so I did 2 different versions.
For this first card I went with a gold unicorn and a rainbow colored mane and the second one I did a more traditional white unicorn. I added some glitter to the unicorns mane, horn and feet, edged both panels with gold metallic pen and added some gold corner stickers too.
The back is stamped and embossed with stamps from Papertrey Ink.
All for today - Take Care

A tangle a day....

Hallo,
Well the pups took me for a long walk this am - not quite as humid as yesterday at least. I took them down to the little beach near us but couldn't let them loose as there were several people there but they had fun in the water anyhow....Duke absolutely loves the water, Kyna is ok with it but likes to look around at other stuff too, Duke want to be in the water 100% of the time :)
A quick zentangle for you this am - 6 by 6 inch Bristol vellum finish cardstock and a .01 micron pen, and a fine point sharpie to fill in the bigger spots.
Not sure what I will do with it yet but I love when I have a bit of time just to lose myself in a tangle....
Well lots of things on my list today - time to start crossing things off!!!
