Hallo,
Another Owl card for the Jacksonbelle Embellishments contest with Inkadinkado stamps.
The base cardstock is Navy and I embossed the main image with silver embossing powder and the silver on the base is colorbox ink. I 'distressed' the main image with 'not quite navy' from SU and then edged it with silver mettalic pen.
All stamps are Inkadinkado.
The ribbon is from my stash - white with a silvery sheen to it - garage sale find....

Midnight Owl
Hallo,
Day #2 of Owlmania....
A rather simple card today - craft cardstock and SU 'not quite navy' ink, the Owl was embossed with clear powder.
I used a couple other Inkadinkado stamps (partials) for the corners, and the whole stamp in the bottom left corner. I cut the main panel with my nestabilities on the cuttlebug and layered it onto 2 different ribbons.
Not too much going on today - will be doing some yard work and maybe some shopping with my Chief Enabler Pat....hopefully a little time to stamp later this afternoon.
Take care

Purple Snow Owl
Hallo,
I hope you are all in the mood for Owls!!! I did a bunch of cards the last couple days using these owls from Inkadinkado. I did them for a contest over at Jacksonbelle Embellishments - to use Inkadinkado stamps and 4 different sketches. I had alot of fun with these.
I am going to prepost for the next few days as what little time I have off from work I really need to be working on finishing up my swaps for my CRUISE - "scream"!!!!! Every day it seems like the gals are giving more and more hints of all the fun - this is better than Christmas!!!!
This owl was done on dark purple, embossed in white and layered onto several pieces of DP from my stash. The ovals were cut with my nestabilities using my cuttlebug. The pieces of DP were edged with mettalic gold pen.
All for today

Sophisticated Wise Men
Hallo,
Short post as its getting late and the eyelids are a little heavy right now...
I had camera issues again tonight - first the pics are dark because I got done stamping too late and it was dark outside - then when I went to download them --- we for some reason we haven't been able to get the new laptop to accept the camera (its a nikon thats about 5 or 6 years old), the old computer that we had been using quit accepting it a long time ago - I have been loading it to the dark age computer that the kids have for some of their games and then transfering to a little jet drive and then to the laptop - WELLLL - the moniter on the dark age computer decided to die tonight, so I tried once again to load the nikon program to the laptop - it worked for a few minutes and then quit, so I uninstalled and then reinstalled, and finally got the camera to let me download the rest of the pics, who knows if it will work the next time.... I can't really afford a new camera at this time so cross your fingers for me....
ANYWHO - On to the card - All images by Cornish Heritage Farms - http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/ . I used backrounder 'Sophisticated Swirls' , 'Three Wise Men' and a phrase from 'Christmas Expressions'.
For inks I used Distress - walnut stain and brick red, gold metallic pen edges both layers of cardstock, and a gold ribbon from my stash.
Allrightcha'll - Its past my bedtime sooo.....see ya tomorrow.

More CHF Christmas
Hallo,
I didn't manage to get as much done today as I wanted, but I do have a couple things to show you. Tomorrow you are on your own for blog surfin as I haven't got anything saved to prepost - I hope to get some stuff done this weekend!!! (after tomorrow I have 4 days off !!!! - and I am not getting conned into working extra....)
The first card today is a variation of yesterdays - instead of white on the craft cardstock I used 'Not quite navy' from SU - and that is the only difference. I ended up liking the white better but the blue looks nice too - so I did a few like that too. The stamps I used are all from Cornish Heritage Farms - 'victorian leaves' backrounder, 'We three kings' and a phrase from 'Christmas expressions. I love my CHF stamps!!!! I just got another order from them today - I got the newest Thomas Kinkade' and another set from the Rumage bin. Look here for great stuff!!!! - http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com/
These next 2 cards are along the same theme as the last couple but I used 'sophisticated swirls' backrounder, 'Three wise men' and a phrase from 'Christmas expressions - all also from CHF. The only difference in the cards is the ribbon I used. I couldn't decide which but I had only a little of the red so when I ran out I used the gold.....
The inks I used on these are the distress inks - brick red and walnut stain. I edged them with gold metallic pen.
All for today - Gotta get a couple other things done before I start super for the clan.

Yes I am still here!!!
Hallo,
Just a real short post and hopefully will get you something pretty to look at tomorrow. I have had a crazy busy week at work - picked up an extra day at work to make 4 - 12 hour shifts in a row (which accually turned out to be 2 - 12 hrs and 2 - 13/14 plus hour shifts) had one day off and worked another...kids and DH are all getting over colds...so far I seem to have avoided it although maybe that was part of the reason I felt like I got hit by a train on sat. (the day after the marathon 12's) LOL.
Today I am doing some catching up and hope to get to the craft table this afternoon. We are haveing some refreshingly cool weather so I took advantage of it to do some looonnngg neglected yard work, and then some errands....
All for today - see ya tomorrow!!!

More versions - Trumpeting Angel
Hallo,
Showing you today some versions of yesterdays cards!!! I always have to do a couple variations.
Not too major of changes - the first one is edged with tea dye ink, and the next one with walnut ink.
The third card I embossed the angel in clear ink and then sponged brick red Distress ink on the card to make the angel show up, used the same technique for the last card but used peeled paint Distress ink instead.
For all cards I used stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com - 'Aged sheet music' scrapblock and 'Trumpeting Angel' and I used a gold krylon to edge the Angel layer and a Christmas ribbon from my stash.
All for today....see ya thursday......

Trumpeting Angel card
Hallo,
Another short note with a card made to match yesterdays jar. I used the 'Aged sheet music' scarpblock from Cornish Heritage Farms on the bottom layer and the Angel layer. I also used the 'Trumpeting Angel' from CHF http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com . I used baroque Burgundy ink from SU on the Angel and the bottom layer, and peeled paint Distress Ink for the angel layer.
I used a gold krylon pen to outline the angel layer and the middle layer is Christmas ribbon from my stash.

Double Holiday Duty
Hallo,
Yup another jar - its the last one I have finished for now and I really should finish off my swaps for the Cruise the next time I get to the craft table (hopefully today) - but we'll see - I have 6 more triangle shaped jars in my craft room . I am interested to try etching and then stamping over that with staz on - I am thinking it would look really cooly 3-D, just so long as the staz on doesn't over power the clear glass.....
Anyway - This cute little jar is one I found on my most recent thrift shop run with my Chief Enabler Pat this week ( we found a GOOD stash of craft stuff at one place this week!!!).
I have done one side with stamps from a 'Flourishes' Christmas set - the reindeer with the lovely flourished antlers and the word JOY.
The other side I did with Halloween stamps - 'OL Frank I have had in my stash for so long and used so much over the years that his lable has worn off, therefore I have no idea who made him, same goes for the bat..... After the first round of etching I went back and applied the etching compound again to make it darker - it leaves a little glow of lighter etching around the bat and Frank - me was thinking they should glow spookily in the dark - didn't turn out exactly as I envisioned but I looks great with a candle in it - just couldn't get a decent picture.....that is the only bummer with the glass jars - they really are much cooler IRL - the photos just don't show them as well as I would like.
The last 2 photos I put a green cloth inside the jar to help show off the etching more...

Coffee tag and card
Hallo,
Showing you a tag and a card that I made to go with the coffee jar from yesterday. The tag was easy to see with the bottle yesterday but I thought I would give you a close up...
I used a regular 'Office Depot' tag and grunged it up with distress inks - tea dye, walnut stain and antique linen, and then added some SU 'elegant eggplant'. The stamps are from 'Flourishes' and I paper pieced them onto DP using Distress black soot. The round tag is also from 'Office depot' - had a silver rim but I used my gold krylon on it 'cause I liked the gold better with this paper.
The fibers I used are pieces of yarn left over from a rash of knitting scarves last year and the brown on the bottom of the tag is some I found at A.C. Moore and have been using alot - need to find more !!!
On the card I used the stacked cups as a backround on kraft cardstock and paper pieced the big cup and another stack of small cups - then cut them apart to use as 'hanging' cups off the ribbon - more of that great brown trim...
Then as I thought the card needed something I took on cup in the 'backround' and outlined it with a brown sharpie, colored it in, and then put a layer of 'chrystal laquer' over it ti make it stand out a bit.
All for today - Take Care
