Simple Christmas

Hallo,
I will be back home as of yesterday but will have to work - so am going to prepost today and tomorrow. Friday is my one day off - which I will do more laundry and finish unpacking - maybe get some craft time and then I work again for the weekend.....
Playing with my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' again. You can find these and a ton of other stamps here - http://www.janlynn.com/
I started by using one of my nesties labels and just embossed it onto the front of a few cards. Then I stamped Mr. Penquin and the trees with black memento ink and colored them with copics. They were a perfect fit for this label die.
Both phrases are from Gina K.
All for today - Stay Healthy (we always have more than enough business to keep us runnin'...!!)

Black and Gold

Hallo,
Short note to show ya a few pics....
More wedding cards....
The first thing I noticed when I edited these photos is that I really should have edged the black and white layer with gold krylon pen as it would have helped it show up a little nicer....oh well too late now that everything is glued down....
The base cardstock is cuttlebugged with the textile folder and then swiped with my embossing pad and embossed with glitter gold .

Both the layers are done with nesties - the gold layer I left a little 'out of the box' for the dress.
Added some pearl trimmed ribbon and black faux crystals.
This first card is a stamp from Another Stamp Company and the second one is a stamp from Northwoods stamp company both embossed with white on gold DP - the back of the black and white layer...

Wedding or Prom

Hallo,
So another version in green and pink for you today - but this first one could easily be for a prom or a wedding (that is one of the reasons I got this stamp as it would work for both).
The backround is a stamp from 'Flourishes" and is stamped with peeled paint distress ink.
The stamp is from North Woods stamp company and is embossed with white onto vellum.
All the layers are cut with nesties in my cuttlebug with the vellum layer left a little 'out of the box' for the rest of the dress.
I edged the main layers with gold krylon. The flower was sprayed with pink glimmer mist.
I did 'cheat' a little with the pink layers - 2 different ones but after cutting them in the cuttlebug I cut them in half and glued them behind the circles so the layer would be just a bit bigger....

Pink Cuttlebug Wedding

Hallo,
Preposting this for thursday as I will be at work.....
Here is another version of the pink and green - wedding style. These are my DH's nieces colors for her wedding coming up so am trying a few versions to see which I like better.
The base cardstock is a textured green. The next layer up is done with the 'cuttlebug smoosh' technique from Technique Junkies using vivid ink and the textile folder from cuttlebug.
The wedding couple is a stamp from 'Another Stamp Company' and is embossed in white onto vellum. All layers are cut with nestabilities in my cuttlebug and edged with gold krylon pen.
All for today - more weddingish stuff for you tomorrow.

CPS Happens

Hallo,
I didn't get a whole lot done today - the last 2 days at work were doozies and I am stiff and sore today!!! I did manage to go for a walk and get on my evil excersise machine/torture device, got a couple loads of laundry done and hung on the line and got groceries - and I managed to get one card done to show you today - so I guess I didn't do the worst....
I used this weeks sketch from CPS - you can find it here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com

I used one of my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' and colored it with prismacolor markers. You can find this stamp and a boatload of other great stamps here - www.janlynn.com
The phrase is from Stampin Up.
I cut the teapot layer with a spellbinders label die and the brown layer is spellbinders mega rectangles - I used my cuttlebug.
I am hoping to have more time to craft tomorrow....just a couple errands to run....
Leaving you with a couple pics of some of my flowers in the backyard - I have alot of glads blooming (I seem to have good luck with those) these pink ones are some of my first bloomers. The cactus blooms ever so often year round - I have several hanging baskets with cactus in them (tried all kinds of other plants but killed too many as they need to be watered every day here on the summer so the cactus are perfect).

All for today - have a couple tasks to do yet this evening...

Beautiful CPS

Hallo,
A couple more cards for this weeks sketch at CPS - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com

I used stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms - Fiery Floral scrapblock and the phrase from the 'Beautiful' set. You can find both here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
I used distress brick red and embossing ink and powder for the base cardstock and then sprayed it with walnut ink. The main image was also stamped and embossed with walnut stain and embossing ink, and the 'Beautiful' in brisk red and embossing ink. Then I sprayed it with glimmer mist - pomegranete I believe.

I cut the layers with my newest nestabilities - labels 4 and edged with gold krylon.
I finished the first one with a brown ribbon and the second with a red ribbon - I am always pleased to see such a differnce in 2 cards just by changeing 1 simple thing can change the look of a card.

Houndstooth Easter - CPS 109

Hallo,
I am preposting for the rest of the week ya'll - I work today and tomorrow, then on friday the kiddos, my Chief Enabler and I are making a trip to Pensacola. My DD is spending a month with Grandma this summer - my DM is going to help her make a quilt, so we are going to go to a couple places to find the fabric she wants for her quilt.
I did up these cards for this weeks CPS sketch - it looked easy enough when I looked at the sketch but I wasn't totally happy with my results.
I used some of the eggs from this weeks previous cards - colored with prismacolor markers. Stamp is from 'Stamps Happen'. Also used my Houndstooth cuttlebug folder and one of my nesties labels die.

Paper Pieced Hugs

Hallo,
Barely got anything done at the craft table today - it was just too beautiful outside. Just as I finished off the yard work I needed to get done one of my expected packages of bulbs/plants arrived so if course I had to get them planted (not only do I work tomorrow but its sposed to rain so had to get them planted). My DH doesn't call what I do gardening so much as "planting frenzys". I have one more shipment of plants and bulbs coming - hopefully by the weekend so I can get them planted while I am off.
Here's one card I got done today.
It uses this weeks sketch from CPS
www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com . I had a hard time with the strips along the top and sides - just couldn't fit them into my card so the 2 layers of ribbon are what I came up with. I also changed up the main image a bit as I liked it better shifted to the side a bit.

The stamp set is one of my recently new ones from My Favorite Things
www.mftstamps.com
I colored her with my prismacolor pencils and then paper pierced her skirt, the couch, and part of the backround.
Layers cut with nesties - rectangle and label.
I highlighted the phrase a bit with a white gel pen to make it show up better.
All for today - time to try to find something to go with the roast in the crock pot since I didn't stick tatters in...

Weekend Bella

Hallo,
Another Bella for you today - from my stash, and the Weekend Sketch from this last weekend - better late than never.
You can find Bella here - http://www.stampingbella.com/
Bella is colored with prismacolor pencils and the phrase is from Gina K
http://www.ginakdesigns.com/.
I used some nesties to cut the layers, and a several punches to cut the blue flower and 3 flower shapes out of a clear sheet, inked roughly with stazon and dew drops for centers.
All for today - tomorrow I am going to a large outdoor Arts and Crafts fair a couple hours aways from here with some of my local stamping buddies. I hope to have a few pics of that for you tomorrow.
