Easter WSC 74

Hallo,
This weekend I broke out the prismacolor markers and this stamp from 'Stamps Happen' for my evening couch activities. I am slowly getting the hand of the markers - and starting to like them more and more. I may end up with some copics yet!!!
The sketch isWSC 74.
I also used my new nesties - labels 3 and 4 which came in the mail saturday am :).
I ran some errands saturday as it was still raining - we got about 8 inches of rain in 2 days (fortunatly for us the sandy Florida soil drains it away really fast!!!).
Sunday I did some yard work and got the rest of my flowers planted - it is sposed to rain again on tuesday....

All for today - its Spring Break here and I have a few extra teenagers in the house today and tomorrow....noise levels very high right now :).

Easter Decorations

Hallo,
Noncrafting post today - didn't get any cards made today. I went and met up with a few of my stampin buddies for a couple hours - we all brought our cuttlebugs and were playing around to see what we could cuttle. So I have alot of stuff cuttled but no finished card to show - instead I will show you my tiny little front yard decorated for Easter. My DD did all of this - I had planned to but got busy with something else so she decided to do it.
She decided to use the ground stakes along the edge of the garage instead of in the ground which is real creative.
I have glads up and some of the early Iris blooming too.
All for today - I work tomorrow and don't have anything saved to show ya, so I will see you on the other side of the weekend on Monday (I am OFF this weekend !!!!!! YIPPPEEE)

Easter Cards

Hallo,

Quick one today - I was playing around with my Cuttlebug yesterday and tried out this stencil I had. It is a thin piece of stiff acrylic. It embossed nicely.

I put the stencil back on and used a dauber with ink pads to add color to the iris. The sun I did with chalk through a hole from a punch.

I did several versions of course - the one with the gold rub on didn't turn out as nice as I had wanted.

The small 'Easter Wishes is from PTI - www.papertreyink.com

All for tonight - Take Care

Paper Pieced Hugs

Hallo,
Barely got anything done at the craft table today - it was just too beautiful outside. Just as I finished off the yard work I needed to get done one of my expected packages of bulbs/plants arrived so if course I had to get them planted (not only do I work tomorrow but its sposed to rain so had to get them planted). My DH doesn't call what I do gardening so much as "planting frenzys". I have one more shipment of plants and bulbs coming - hopefully by the weekend so I can get them planted while I am off.
Here's one card I got done today.
It uses this weeks sketch from CPS
www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com . I had a hard time with the strips along the top and sides - just couldn't fit them into my card so the 2 layers of ribbon are what I came up with. I also changed up the main image a bit as I liked it better shifted to the side a bit.

The stamp set is one of my recently new ones from My Favorite Things
www.mftstamps.com
I colored her with my prismacolor pencils and then paper pierced her skirt, the couch, and part of the backround.
Layers cut with nesties - rectangle and label.
I highlighted the phrase a bit with a white gel pen to make it show up better.
All for today - time to try to find something to go with the roast in the crock pot since I didn't stick tatters in...

Circuit Rocker

Hallo,
Well as you may have noticed - we got back too late friday for me to get anything posted. My Chief Enabler Pat and I went to Fairhope Alabama to their Annual Arts and Crafts Festival. Its always an idea bananza for me - eye candy everywhere.
Most of the stuff I really liked will have to go on my "when I win the lottery " list. But I did find a really cool Kalidascope!!!! It was made from and old Coke bottle - the lid had a hole punched in it to see through the small triangle kalida innards, the bottle itself had loose pieces of stained glass and colored marbles!!! I collect Kaldascopes so this was a really fun find for me - totally unique from all the others I have.
We walked until we were sure we saw it all - we have been going for years so we have a system - following all the rows on the right side, around the side streets, all to the right and eventually we end up at the begining - then we decided if we NEED to go back for anything (if we didn't but it right away...)
About halfway through are some local resterants - we had a great lunch - the place had an awsome broccoli salad and the tomatoe soup was really good too....

On to todays creation.....
I used this weekends sketch from Jen at www.iheart2stamp.com
The backround is a backrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms called Circuit Board. I thought it looked kinda metal rockish.... I stamped it onto white cardstock with silver ink and then embossed it in silver. Then I sponged some distress ink on it. You can find this and a gazillion other backrounders here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
The main image is one of my new Hanna's from www.hannastamps.com She is stamped onto white and colored with prismacolor pencils - the highlights in her hair are accented with green Krylon pen and the guitar had bright pink Krylon pen highlights (these are almost neon in color and I have been trying to find something to use them on for a long time - The folks at Krylon sent me some to try .....).
I traced around one of my nestabilities labels at the bottom of the main image and cut it and Hannna out so she is 'out of the box' so to speak.
The 'U ROCK' is from Gina K and was stamped on the acetate sheet that covered my new Hanna in the package (how very Greeb of me :) - traced a small nestie again, cut it out, stamped with silver colorbox ink and heat set, and then the edges done with silver Krylon (this was a second try on this part by the way as I got silver fingerprints on the first one :)

All for today - I need to get some dinner going.
I didn't get much time to stamp today - but did several hours of yard work. The weather was absolutly perfect!!!!

Weekend Bella

Hallo,
Another Bella for you today - from my stash, and the Weekend Sketch from this last weekend - better late than never.
You can find Bella here - http://www.stampingbella.com/
Bella is colored with prismacolor pencils and the phrase is from Gina K
http://www.ginakdesigns.com/.
I used some nesties to cut the layers, and a several punches to cut the blue flower and 3 flower shapes out of a clear sheet, inked roughly with stazon and dew drops for centers.
All for today - tomorrow I am going to a large outdoor Arts and Crafts fair a couple hours aways from here with some of my local stamping buddies. I hope to have a few pics of that for you tomorrow.

Bella Techno Wish

Hallo,
Another sketch for you today - this one from Technostamper - http://www.technostamper.blogspot.com/
I had this Bella in my stash since last summer if you believe it - I had colored extra when I made up some ATC's to swap on my Stampin Cruise last October. She is colored with prismacolor pencils. You can find her here - www.stampingbella.com
The phrase is from Gina K - www.ginakdesigns.com
The DP is from K&Company.
I used my nesties to cut the layers and sanded the edges a bit for a distressed look. I also used a border punch for the scallops and some orange dew drops....
All for today - Take Care

Desert Ride

Hallo,
I had this mostly finished yesterday and just put the layers together this morning.
The sketch if CPS 107
www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com

The stamp set is from Hanna Stamps
www.hannastamps.com
I colored her and the side panel with prismacolor pencils. For embellishments I used a little ribbon (from my garage sale stash), a MS punch, nestabilities/spellbinders, and some dew drops.
I am so loving this set - I have been waiting awhile for my budget to accumulate :) - I also got 2 other sets from hanna Stamps this weekend - hopefully they will see ink next week as I am out of time for this week.
I work the next 2 days and will have a couple more cards made from sketches and 'leftovers' - schtuff collected on my desk from other projects, including some images I colored awhile ago - not only did it make the card making quicker but I also forwarded my goal of using up my scraps and cleaning up my craft space.....
All for today

Born to Ride

Hallo,

Pulled from some of my favorite sketch blogs this am to get me started today. Its a rainy kinda day here and my joints made me feel about 90 years old today.....sat in my massage chair with the heat on for awhile waiting for a break in the rain and then took my poor ol dog for a walk before the next wave of rain...

Managed to get a couple errands done but didn't manage to get my housework done.....ahhh shucks, it will still be here tomorrow....

Anyway this card uses a sketch from Jen at
www.iheart2stamp.com
The main image is from Hanna stamps which I just got in the mail this weekend :) and the phrase is from Gina K - one of the Tee's or the Sporty set.... I have the phrases all mixed up....
I colored her with my prismaciolor pencils and added a little gold mettalice pen to the gold parts of the motorcycle.

I cut the main layer, the second layer and the ribbon tag with my nestabilities and the bottom layer is just a square but I did the corners with the sides of a SU punch - can't remember the name of it....
The paper on the bottom is from 'My Minds Eye' and the other DP is 'K & CO' . I used black Memento ink to stamp and walnut ink distress for the edges.
All for today - gotta go finish off dinner.....cooking it that is......

Cancer Is So Limited

Hallo,
Another couple of my experiments - I think the last in the Lighthouse series - need to do some with this same poem and flowers next.
The Lighthouse is from Stamps Happen.
The poem is called 'Cancer is so Limited' and is from Cornish Heritage Farms - as is the flourish on the main image (from the 'Beautiful' set).
You can find those stamps here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
These are both made to fit a 5X7 frame. The main piece started out with watercolor washes with a layer of clear gesso, stamped the lighthouse and then colored it with prismacolor pencils, added more stamping with the flourishes in ink and the purple flowers in acrylic paint, edged with gold krylon pen.
The poem was stamped with purple staz on - onto vellum - both layers cut with nesties/cuttlebug - and again edged with gold krylon.
The chipboard pieces are from Tim Holt and sprayed with Glimmer mist.
All for this week - see ya'll on da flip side....
