Good Wine - Good Friends

Hallo,
Well after running like crazy all morning - I finally had a little time for the craft room. I am still catching up on all the weeds in my flower beds from when I was out of town - and this image is another of the ones I colored while I was out of town....
This card started with the main image and the ribbon - the ribbon I got off a little package that was given to me on Nurses Day. Most hospitals give a little gift to the Nurses on Nurses day and this year it was a little bag full of stuff like a mini snickers bar "for when we need a good laugh", a rubber band "to remind us we need to be flexible" ect., ect., ect..... Any way I ended up with about 5 of these ribbons as I told my coworkers to pass them to me if they didn't want them :).

Anyway....the main image is from My Favorite Things and is colored with prismacolor markers. I then layered it to several layers cut with my nesties in the cuttlebug - using up some scraps that were still in a pile near my work table......the phrases are also from MFT (embossed in white).
The last photo is of the inside of the card - I don't often do anything with the inside although I wish I would more often.....
All for today - time to get some dinner rollin.....

TK Friendship - CPS 118

Hallo,
Aaaahhhh stamping time!!!!
It has been a busy couple weeks for me - the main image here was accually colored in New Orleans (relaxin in the evening after classes all day).
The main image is from Cornish Heritage Farms Thomas Kinkade collection and the phrase is from 'Frienship Centers' - you can find them both here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
The main image is colored with prismacolor markers (as my copics didn't arrive until I was already in New Orleans for my conferance....
I used this weeks sketch from CPS - #118 - to put my card together. I turned the sketch and added a little panel for the phrase.
Two of the layers are cut with nestabilities in my cuttlebug.
All for today - I have alot of catching up to do around the house and yard this week too.....

Dad's old car

Hallo,
Starting to try my hand at some guys cards working up to Father's Day. My stash of guy cards is very low....
The car stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms and you can find it here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
and it is colored with my prismacolor markers.
It is layered onto a houndstooth cuttlebugged folder with walnut stain ink swiped over it. Then layered onto several shades of brown cardstock, added some brown ribbon and buttons from my stash.
I thought it looked just a bit bare so did some faux stitching along the tops half.
All for now - Take Care

Dancing Flower Fairies

Hallo,
Short note as the kiddos and I are headed out to the pool for a bit - only got one card done today and not a whole lot else....blogland captured me and made me look here and there and a little bit of everywhere it seems :)
This stamp is from 'Stamps Happen' - you can find it at www.janlynn.com.
I colored it using prismacolor markers - am happy with it except for the girls dress and flower - I really wanted a lighter pink or purple for them but didn't have any lighter shades......
I used some spica glitter pens on their wings and hair but couldn't get them to show up very well in the photos. Cut them out using my nesties/cuttlebug.
The layer under the main image is a technique from 'Technique Junkies Newsletter' and is called veined marble. If you like techniques you really need to check out TJ - awsome newsletter with tons of great techniques for stamping and backrounds.
All for today - I work all weekend so will see you on the other side on Monday :)

CPS Happens

Hallo,
I didn't get a whole lot done today - the last 2 days at work were doozies and I am stiff and sore today!!! I did manage to go for a walk and get on my evil excersise machine/torture device, got a couple loads of laundry done and hung on the line and got groceries - and I managed to get one card done to show you today - so I guess I didn't do the worst....
I used this weeks sketch from CPS - you can find it here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com

I used one of my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' and colored it with prismacolor markers. You can find this stamp and a boatload of other great stamps here - www.janlynn.com
The phrase is from Stampin Up.
I cut the teapot layer with a spellbinders label die and the brown layer is spellbinders mega rectangles - I used my cuttlebug.
I am hoping to have more time to craft tomorrow....just a couple errands to run....
Leaving you with a couple pics of some of my flowers in the backyard - I have alot of glads blooming (I seem to have good luck with those) these pink ones are some of my first bloomers. The cactus blooms ever so often year round - I have several hanging baskets with cactus in them (tried all kinds of other plants but killed too many as they need to be watered every day here on the summer so the cactus are perfect).

All for today - have a couple tasks to do yet this evening...

This stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Thomas Kinkade collection and is called 'Hometown Pride'. You can find it here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com.
This is my first try at coloring one of my TK's with the alcohol markers - in this case prismacolor markers. I think I still need some practice but was happy with the result.

Everything was stamped with memento black and colored in with my prismacolor markers ( I am liking the alcohol markers more and more...)
The couple is Bellastamps and the phrase and mixer are Gina K.
Of course I had to do 2 versions....

Happening Treats

Hallo,
Sitting at my computer veggin this am - crazy busy weekend at work and I am having a really hard time getting a move on this mornin.....
I finished off this card last friday - yes just one card - These first couple photos are stage one and I almost left it like this cause I really like it (so I will make some more like it come Halloween time). Last week I did Christmas stuff so then I pulled out some Halloween stuff.
The 'Witches Hats' are from Stamps Happen and you can find it and a ton more great stamps here - www.janlynn.com.

I stamped the spider/web and the phrase and embossed them with black embossing powder. The hats were stamped with memento black.
Then I brought out my Prismacolor markers - colorless blender and 3 gray markers (30%, 50-60%) to do the shadows.
I thought it looked pretty cool as is, so I took some pics of it before I colored the rest in.

So here is the color version - I finished coloring it in with the prismacolor markers and it turned out pretty fun too.
All for now - my dog tells me it is high time to get moving and go for a walk (glad its still cool out this morning) I also have several errands to run and some yard work to do.....and hopefully get to the craft room for and hour or so.....
See ya tomorrow
Take Care
