Hallo,
Well my morning walk is accomplished and breakfast done so now I need to get up from the computer and get myself busy....house to clean, projects to do....and a blog post to write :)
Another altered journal here for you today - same image as the last one on Sunday - 'Real in Dreams' by Karen Middleton at Sweet Pea Stamps.
I colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and edged the panel with gold metallic pen.
The book covers and the paper flowers were sprayed with glimmer mist and the butterflies had been sprayed with another spray product in an orange but cant remember which one right now....
I edged the covers of the book with gold metallic pen and covered the backs with scrapbook paper to match....
Added some cool corner dodads and some beaded circles for the butterflies and lastly a ribbon or 2 for the book rings.
All for today - Take Care

Dreams
Hallo, Well I finally have my craft room(s) back in normal working order - my main craft room doubles as my DD room when she is home from college so I have to clear off her bed and stack stuff out of the way and such so now most everything is out where I can see it again and I can start finishing off some projects again. In the summer I color alot and work on tangle projects (come back tomorrow) so now I can take all those colored images and put them into projects.
Todays project is a dainty journal using an image from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'Real in Dreams' by Karen Middleton.
I colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and added her to this journal.
This was a journal from Heidi Swap that I found for over half off at Tuesday Mornings and the cover has these wonderful textures on them. I sprayed the front and back cover with some misting sprays that have some glitter/shimmer in them so its really pretty IRL. The inside of the covers are covered with matching scrapbook paper.
The journal has 6 pages of nice cardstock so it could be used as a journal, sketchbook or mini scrapbook.
All for today - back to the craft room - happy me!!!!

Red, White, and Blue
Hallo,
Well just getting up for the day after working the last 2 nights - boy was it hard for me to get back in the swing of 12 hour night shifts after having a couple weeks off!!!!
First if you love your Sweet Pea Stamps like I do then you need the coupon codes here and need to go shopping :)
(then come back and visit me :)
I altered another journal for todays project - this one is a sketch journal and is 9 inches wide by 11 inches tall.
I used the Sweet Pea image called 'Cybele & Kaida (little dragon) by Norma J Burnell and colored her with my copics.
I used a couple Spellbinders dies and edged the main one with a gold metallic pen. Added some red beaded trim and some paper flowers that I spritzed with some blue glimmer mist (ocean or turquoise, not sure) and then added some pearl drops with a teal viva décor pen.
I also added some metal corners from Tim Holtz to make them more durable.
All for me today - should try and get a few things done here today :)

Oriental Journal
Hallo,
Well I didn't get as much done in the craft room yesterday as I would have liked but I did get a batch of graduation cards done and this journal.
I did this journal for a friend of mine who found out last week that her hubbys next assignment with the military will be to Japan. So they will be moving soon - first part of July I think. Its their first time overseas so I thought she might like a journal for their new adventure - and her Birthday is this week too :)
I covered the journal in oriental washi paper from my long hoarded stash :) and added some ribbons to match how I colored the image.
The image is - of course - from Sweet Pea Stamps. She is called 'Pink Peony' and is by Ching Chou Kuik.
She is available as a rubber stamp and digital image. I colored her with prismacolor pencils and then cut her out with a Spellbinders die and edged with a gold metallic pen.
I also added some pearl drops with a viva décor pen.
All for today - errands to run and then back to the craft room fast as I can :)

Sweet Pea Stampers - Ditressed
Hallo,
Welcome to another challenge from the Sweet Pea Stampers DT - this time we are getting distressed :)
I made an altered journal again as I love making journals!!!
I used Clara by Charmaine Flannery and colored her with koh-I-noor pencils. I cut her and the layer under her with Spellbinders dies.
She is of course from Sweet Pea Stamps and is available both as a rubber stamp and a digi - check it out here - www.sweetpeastamps.com
The image layer I covered with some sepia lacquer and edged the edges with copper metallic pen.
The next layer I distressed the edges with walnut stain ink. Added some distress style paper flowers, some feathers and 2 charms that I altered with some metallic rub on - the birdcage with bronze over the white and the wings I used a metallic blue over the dark silver and then added some blue seed beads with crystal lacquer.
I covered the notebook with distress papers from Tim Holtz and then edged them with tea dye and walnut stain distress inks and then the copper metallic pen.
Lastly I added some bronze pearl drops with a viva décor pen to the corners and near the main image.
It is spring break week from school for us here - both my son who is a senior this year and my Daughter in college are on break ...not that I have seen either of them that much as they both were hanging out with friends a lot and going to the beach :)

Prayer journal
Hallo,
Well I was going to save this project to show you another day but haven't got anything else to show you this am and don't feel much like moving outta my chair here in front of the computer just yet....soooo....I finally got all the Christmas decs down on sat am and the boys DS and second son Austin put them back up in the garage attic yesterday for me but I am fighting a major head cold, cough, sore throat the whole whiney shebang so I may not get much done today.....I even called in sick to work last night which is unusual for me (it has been over a year since I called in sick...)
My house really needs cleaning, puppy wants a walk (too cold this am - maybe this afternoon), we could use a few groceries and there is a ton of stuff to do in my craft room.....ah well we will see how much energy I can muster in a bit...after all the house, craft room and puppy will still be here tomorrow.....
I finished off this little project end of last week...I took a journal and altered it - the base is a white core cardstock that I dry embossed and sanded off - I used this for both the front and back covers and edged the edges with metallic gold pen.
The main image starts with 'anemones' from' Flourishes' - stamped once in black memento and twice - once to either side - with gray (London fog) memento inks and colored with Koh-I-Noor pencils onto cryogen white cardstock.
I embossed the phrase from 'Prickly Pear' with black and then added the beaded frame and some gold corner stickers.
The blue ribbon was a last minute thought - pretty and I left a long tail to use as a bookmark.
All for this am - I am almost finished with another locker hook rug so I think I will work on that for a bit and let the cold medicine take a hold before I attempt some cleaning.....boy I am such a whimp when I am sick..... :)
Have a great day!!!
Tera
P.S. This journal is up in the Etsy shop......

Fairy Journal
Hallo,Sunday morning and fixin to get a bit of a nap....day off but only 1 off .....2 more and then 5 off (yippee!!)
I did this journal on friday - accually colored it while sitting on the couch thursday night.
I had intended this as a card but loved the combo of papers on the main image and wanted it to be bigger so decided to do a 5X7 to frame, then I decided it really needed to be a journal instead....
The main image is from Sweet Pea Stamps and colored with copics - I pulled colors from the DP under the main image - pinks and browns.
This is a regular composition notebook that I altered.
I am really pleased how she turned out!!!

Choose Thoughts - teal

Hallo,
This may look familiar as I did a plaque with this same theme and colors. Last saturday at the craft fair soemone asked me to do the plaque as a journal so here it is.
The butterfly is from Inkadinkado and colored with copics, and the phrase is from Chery Pie stamps.
I trimmed it up with some purple paper edged with a punch.
The little crown is accually clear but in the close up it showed up orangeish - and it took me almost 10 minutes to figure out why - I was wearing an orange shirt when I took the photo.
Short on wordage tonight - :) Short for tomorrow too and then we will see ya on Monday.
Take Care
