Christmas Family pics

Hallo,
Totally a family photo post here!!!
This first one is DS about to start rippin into the presents.

This is DD concentrating on getting one of her first ones unwrapped.

DH and DS unwrapping.

We went out to the beach after lunch to take pics of the family to make everyone up north jealous of our warm weather. If you look close DD has her fingers up behind my head :).

This is the whole Fujan clan - Florida branch at the beach in front of our favorite beachside restaurant. It was kind of foggy today and bigger waves than usual - the surfers were out in force today.

DH and the kiddos .

These next 3 pics are me trying to get a 'good' pic of DH and the kids - this first one is DS fixin to steal Dads hat (the 'Raiders' hat!!!). The next photo shows the brief moment DS had Dads hat, and the third photo is Dad catching DD putting her fingers up behind his head.

Finally in this series of pics a photo with no stolen hats, no rabbit ears behind head.... could you all SMILE......

Last but not least the DH and I .
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!
Take Care and God Bless

Papertrey gift set

Hallo,

I managed to get a little more time in the craft room while the kiddos argued/debated back and forth the pro's and cons of Pokemon verses Naruto....

This is a gift set that I started in one of my classes on my Cruise in October - The stamp set is from Papertrey and the gift box in made from the container that her stamp sets come in which is cool.

There is a funny story that goes with this set.... I am known as the family klutz, just ask my kids, even my coworkers know that I am somewhat of a klutz - too bad I didn't warn Nicole (from Papertrey Ink) as I probably about gave her a heart attack.

I was trying to cut ribbon for the box and my scissors were dull so I was borrowing the scissors of the very sweet lady sitting next to me, well the second or third time I borrowed them I dropped them, tried to catch them and stabbed myself in the wrist - and yes it hit the artery....good thing I am a Nurse eh - I grabbed my wrist and held pressure and by the time the ships medics got to the room it had stopped bleeding (I took some bandages and washed up, dressed it up...but class was pretty much done by then). Sooo embarrassing!!!!

I had to laugh - the girl sitting behind me told me - "I know it looks pretty callous, but if I don't keep stamping, I will faint".

One of the older ladies in the back says "You DH is going to say 'What did you do?" And my reply to her was to imagine this pic of my DH first - kinda looks like a biker dude, dew rag, small ponytail, small beard - and he says "NOW what did you do?" I ussually trip over things without really doing any damage but ever so often....
All for today - One less unfinished project on my desk :) !!!!
Wish my luck at work tomorrow - looks like its going to be a busy one!!!!
Have a Great Christmas!!!!

Rustic ornaments

Hallo,
Quick post for today - my kiddos are having a Christmas gathering with their friends at the house today and the noise levels are a bit mind numbing right now :)....they are in the middle of an epic game of Risk :)...
This will probably be my last post until after the weekend - I work the next 2 - have 2 off for Christmas and work the weekend....
In keeping with my early resolution to get my craft room cleaned up - starting with my table - I have gotten the table mostly clean with only about 3 unfinished projects on top and I have about a foot of space to work now instead of 6 inches.
This first wood ornament is stamped with a snowflake from 'Papertrey Ink' stamped in 'not quite navy' from SU - edged with walnut distress ink and I added some stickles glitter to the snowflake.

This second ornament is stamped with 'purely pomegranet' from Su and is the reindeer from Inkadinkado and also edged with walnut distress ink.

The third ornament is stamped in 'not quite navy' and is a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com

So thats all for today - I may get some more time in the craft room this afternoon.
Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

#3 Oriental DP

Hallo,
Last one I promise to move on to another technique soon - going to try and get some stuff done with all my DP's this weekend.
Same stamps, same inks, no black this time and more of the white embossing so it looks lighter....

#2 oriental DP

Hallo,
Preposting for ya today.
I used the same technique, stamps and inks except instead of tattered rose ditress I used antique linnen.
I liked the color combo of this one with the antiqiue linnen but didn't like how I ended up placeing the lady - should have paid more attention.....
ah well....

Oriental - Designer Paper technique

Hallo,
I did manage to finish these today - not yesterday like I intended. I did however manage to get the last of my Christmas packages mailed, my Christmas cards signed and mailed also, as well as several other errands and a little housework.
Didn't manage much time at the craft table today - needed to finish up some Christmas shopping for the kiddos while they were in school - I work the next 2 days and then the kids are off school for the holidays starting friday.....
This is the first of 3 to show you - more of the Faux Designer Paper technique from Technique Junkies.
This one was done with a variety of oriental stamps - Inkadinkado, Another Stamp Company and Stampland (I think). I used distress inks - tattered rose and brick red for the base and walnut stain and soot black for some of the overstamping.

All for tonight - Take Care

Travel Home Journal

Hallo,

I had a little time and finished up on this journal yesterday.

I first took some DP from K&Company and stamped over it with staz on inks - I used 2 backrounders and stamps from several sets - all from Cornish Heritage Farms. The backrounders were 'Trees' and 'Victorian leaves'. I also used some stamps from the 'Beautiful', 'keys' and 'The art of framing sets.
The main image is also from Cornish Heritage Farms http://www.cornishheritagefarms.com - It is ones from Thomas Kinkade called 'Hometown Pride'. I colored it with prismacolor pencils and blended here and there with OMS. I then cut the main piece with my new Nestabilities dies called 'curved rectangles'. I edged the colored piece with brown and then a touch of gold metallic, the brown layer I used to frame the image is also edged with gold rub on.
The words on the tag come from 2 different sources - 'Journey' is from 'Another Stamp Co.' and the 'Home' is part of a phrase from Gina K.
All for tonight - am preposting as I work tomorrow(today). I work all weekend so we shall see you on Monday. I have another faux designer paper sheet in works - now no groans, eventually I will get tired of the technique and move onto something else.... :)
Have A Great Weekend!!!!
