Hallo,
Well we had some really cool thunder boomers here this afternoon, not a whole lot of rain out of it here, just a brief intense downpour but I love a good thuinderstorm anyhow - especially when I can be in my craft room!!!!
I am getting this challenge in just in time - its a Christmas in July theme for the current FTTC challenge over at Flourishes here- www.flourishes.org/blog/
With these 2 cards I am now up to 20 Christmas cards done (which is great but I send out about 70 so I have a ways to go...)
This image is of course from Flourishes - I have a ton of their Christmas stamps!!! I stamped Santa in memento brown onto white and then again onto neenah desert storm and colored with prismacolor pencils.
I then ran the image through an embossing folder and sponged silver mettalic rub on the texture and the edges - I then layered both to pieces of DP mostly from my scrap bin and some Christmas ribbons.
It is always fun to see what just a couple simple changes will do with 2 cards that are very similar.
I also added some silver mettalic accents with a fabric paint tube from tulip.
All for today - going to try and get some more craft room time as its a busy week in the Fujan household and may not get much more :)

Howling Drums
Hallo,
It has been a busy week and I have errands to run and a Doctors appointment this afternoon so I had better get this done early :).
I colored this sweetie last night sitting on the couch. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is colored with copics. I did him up for the current challenge over at Mo's blog which is " in the doghouse - something with a dog or someone who is in trouble"
Even though Mo has several very cute 'terrrible twos' images I decided to do a Christmas card - I have been trying to do at least several each month since right after Christmas last year and didn't get that many done this month yet....
Check out the challenge here - www.mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com
All for today - I am off and running :)

Photo Day
Hallo,
My camera and I had some bonding time this am....I took these first pics in my yard of my dahlia that is so pretty right now.
Then I went for a walk out in the woods to try out my new zoom lens.
I went out about 8 am and was hoping to see some wildlife - did see a couple turkeys but wasn't fast enough to get a picture....
Next time I will try going out earlier - it was pretty steamy but the time I got home too - summer in Florida (bleh).
All for today - going to try and get to the craft room sometime....

Summer Flowers
Hallo,
Headed to bed for some sleep for awhile....first will show you this card I did for the current challenge over at the Cornish Heritage Farms blog. Check it out here - www.cornishheritagefarms.blogspot.com
The challenge was for a summer theme.
I colored the CHF image with prismacolor pencils and cut it out - layered it to some ribbon and warm yellow DP and then to kraft cardstock.
I just love the flowers in this image and was really looking for some bright summer beachy colors - hence the yellow and turquoise colors....

Take Flight
Hallo,
I cannot believe it has been a whole week since I managed to post...busy week....trying to catch up on house work and chores that didn't get done when I was itching...and then itching again....and inbetween chores did some reading and more reading and was just all around lazy.
I did these 2 cards up for the current challenge over at Impression Obsession - www.mitrafriant.typepad.com
The challenge is 'fly away' and I used 2 of my newer stamps from IO - F13013 Airplane collage and F13014 Airplane corner.
I kept the layouts super simple - I stamped the aiplanes onto DP and roughened up the edges and then inked them and attatched it to a kraft base.
On the first one I used my label maker to add 'EXPLORE' and on the second since the DP was a postcard background I just hand wrote the phrase like it was meant to be on the postcard.
These 2 stamps make for great guy cards!!!!
All for today - off to work tonight....

Hallo,
Welcome to the Stamp TV CSS Alumni July blog hop!!! This month we arefollowing the sketch you see here.
If you came to me from Sharri's blog - www.istamp4u.blogspot.com/2012/07/stamp-tv-css-alumni-hop.html where I am sure she had some great stuff to show you!!!
If you want to follow along the hop then go to the Stamp Tv main page and look for the Hop announcement around 915 pm tonight - www.stamptv.ning.com
Also make sure to leave lots of sweet comments along the way because tuesday am the 17th we are giving away a huge grab bag of Gina K stamps to one lucky commenter :)
I ended up with 3 cards using this months sketch because as usual I couldn't decide which color scheme to use so I did all 3. And I did up Christmas cards too!!! I had planned on doing Christmas cards all year long this year but have been slaking in that department the last couple months.
All stamps are from Gina K and the sets I used are - 'seasonal sayings' 'vintage borders' and 'light of the season'
I colored the candle image with copics - I stamped the music border with memento toffee and the main image with memento brown and the phrase is also stamped with memento ink but I can't remember which one - its a teal/dark turquoise blue.
All for me today and I am also the end of our hop this time - I hope you had a great time along the way!!!!

Awesome
Hallo,
Another Flourishes release week challenge card for you today - this challenge is for 'bold and beautiful' challenge. Check it out here - www.flourishes.org/blog/

Pumkin Shaker
Hallo,
Just a quick hallo and off to sleep this am.
I did this card for the current challenge over at the Impression Obsession blog which is to use dies - I used their new die made to fit over the shaker boxes - talk about an easy way to make a shaker card!!! This die cut a cover for both the large and small square shaker boxes - which are self adhesive BTW and between the 2 make it super easy and quick to make a shaker!!!
The stamp I used is 'Jack with house' #H1838 and I colored him with copics. I layered the main image to a Spellbinders die and then used the IO shaker die on top - and decorated it with a viva decor pen in bronze, and then added a couple leaf shapes made from shrink plastic. The base cardstock is kraft embossed with a leaf pattern and sponged with walnut stain distress ink.
Check out the challenge here - www.mitrafriant.typepad.com

Flourishes pre-release sketch challenge
Hallo,
Welcome to another Monday!!! I am posting early today with hopes of having another post later in the day - but there is house cleaning to do and I am working tonight so will need a nap .
I did this card for the prelease challenge over at Flourishes - www.flourishes.org/blog/ - this one is a sketch challenge. I modified my 2 panels slightly and used a flower for the 2 little embellies off the one but the sketch is still there :).
I used stamps from the 'feminine charm' set and colored them with copics. I used pinks and purples and then used a matching purple cardstock for the base. I used a texture folder that had a design that almost matches the pink design on the DP panel and then sponged on some 'dusty concord' distress ink - which I also sponged a bit on the white flowers too!!
This was a fun sketch!!!
All for now - going to do house work next and hopefully have some time for the craft room yet today!!!

The beauty of winged things
Hallo,
A pretty mellow Sunday afternoon here - DS is at work at the waterpark, DD is out of town at her ROTC camp in Vermont and DH is out for a ride on the Harley and I in my craft room a puttering away!!!
I did this card for the current Bring Back Beautiful challenge over at Flourishes - the theme this month is 'winged things'
Check out the challenges here - www.flourishes.org/blog/ - pre-release challenges are starting too!!!!
I kept it pretty simple because I really liked how my coloring turned out on the flowers and the birds so I wanted to focus on them - they are such pretty images and so fun to color!!!
I used a backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms - norebook paper - to kinda make this look like a pages from a sketchbook.
I colored them all with copics and then cut the flowers out with a Spellbinders die and the birds were cut by hand.
The phrase is from CHF too - old CHF, not re-released yet :)

Pirate vase
Hallo,
Well this is the last in this series of vases - I hope to start another series of vases later this week with maybe a wedding theme (I went out thrift shopping yesterday for an hour or so and found a stunning wedding dress with tons of fancy lace and pearls for only 25 dollars :)
I am still a bit itchy but almost gone, my face is back to normal size if still a bit red and peeling like I had a sunburn - but way better today!!!!
The main image here is another image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I colored her with copics. I glued her to the vase (covered with a piece of a red satin table runner) with gel medium and then added a mecklace with shiny gold and sparkly rhinestones and a string of gray pearls (to match with her as I colored her gray, red and black).
I sealed the piece with several layers of acrylic sealer for durability - and you will be able to find her on my Etsy shop in a little while here :).
All for now but will be back in a bit with another post - playing some catch up on challenges since I didnt get much done earlier this week - for some strange itchy reason.....
