Pink Cuttlebug Wedding

Hallo,
Preposting this for thursday as I will be at work.....
Here is another version of the pink and green - wedding style. These are my DH's nieces colors for her wedding coming up so am trying a few versions to see which I like better.
The base cardstock is a textured green. The next layer up is done with the 'cuttlebug smoosh' technique from Technique Junkies using vivid ink and the textile folder from cuttlebug.
The wedding couple is a stamp from 'Another Stamp Company' and is embossed in white onto vellum. All layers are cut with nestabilities in my cuttlebug and edged with gold krylon pen.
All for today - more weddingish stuff for you tomorrow.

Victorian Wedding

Hallo,
I was a total slacker today and spent almost the entire day in the craft room!!! - no housework, no yard work, didn't get groceries, my poor pooch didn't even get a walk.....like I said - LOL
I had 2 goals in mind for todays card making - a wedding card for my DH's niece - Don't look T!!!! and to get a few extras done to prepost the next couple weeks. I am going to New Orleans the end of next week for a week long Nursing conferance - its one of the biggest and best learning opportunities that you can go to. And with 10,000 plus Critical Care Nurses in one spot at one time it is very motivating and a real charge!!!!

The card I am showing you today starts with a backrounder from Cornish Heriatge Farms called 'Victorian leaves' and you can find it here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
I stamped it with distress peeled paint on a white 5X7 card base.
The stamp is from Another Stamp Company and I embossed it in white on vellum and then layered it to 3 layers/ 3 different shades of pink cut with nestabilities in my cuttlebug. The vellum layer is cut to match the top layer with a little bit 'out of the box' for the train of the dress.
I used pink glimmer mist on the paper flowers and all layers are edged with gold krylon pen.

The green ribbon was in my stash and lucky for me it matched :)
All for today - I have a few posts to line up for you as I work the next 2 days (and again monday through wednesday.....I leave friday for New Orleans...)

MFT Cheers

Hallo,
More MFT today :) My photo edit program was being wierd with this one - it really looks more like the second photo but couldn't get the rest to match.....it was pretty gloomy yesterday when I took these.....
The main image is colored with prismacolor markers and then layered on top with some prismacolor pencils.
I paper pieced the canopy, and the vlue layer is nestie cut with cuttlebug....
I wasn't happy with the coloring mainly because I didn't have the colors I REALLY wanted....whaaa....LOL

ALl for today - Take Care

Dancing Flower Fairies

Hallo,
Short note as the kiddos and I are headed out to the pool for a bit - only got one card done today and not a whole lot else....blogland captured me and made me look here and there and a little bit of everywhere it seems :)
This stamp is from 'Stamps Happen' - you can find it at www.janlynn.com.
I colored it using prismacolor markers - am happy with it except for the girls dress and flower - I really wanted a lighter pink or purple for them but didn't have any lighter shades......
I used some spica glitter pens on their wings and hair but couldn't get them to show up very well in the photos. Cut them out using my nesties/cuttlebug.
The layer under the main image is a technique from 'Technique Junkies Newsletter' and is called veined marble. If you like techniques you really need to check out TJ - awsome newsletter with tons of great techniques for stamping and backrounds.
All for today - I work all weekend so will see you on the other side on Monday :)

CPS Happens

Hallo,
I didn't get a whole lot done today - the last 2 days at work were doozies and I am stiff and sore today!!! I did manage to go for a walk and get on my evil excersise machine/torture device, got a couple loads of laundry done and hung on the line and got groceries - and I managed to get one card done to show you today - so I guess I didn't do the worst....
I used this weeks sketch from CPS - you can find it here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com

I used one of my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' and colored it with prismacolor markers. You can find this stamp and a boatload of other great stamps here - www.janlynn.com
The phrase is from Stampin Up.
I cut the teapot layer with a spellbinders label die and the brown layer is spellbinders mega rectangles - I used my cuttlebug.
I am hoping to have more time to craft tomorrow....just a couple errands to run....
Leaving you with a couple pics of some of my flowers in the backyard - I have alot of glads blooming (I seem to have good luck with those) these pink ones are some of my first bloomers. The cactus blooms ever so often year round - I have several hanging baskets with cactus in them (tried all kinds of other plants but killed too many as they need to be watered every day here on the summer so the cactus are perfect).

All for today - have a couple tasks to do yet this evening...

Hometown Thank-you

Hallo,
Working today at the 'real' job so leaving you a short post.
This stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Thomas Kinkade collection and is called 'Hometown Pride'. You can find it here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com.
This is my first try at coloring one of my TK's with the alcohol markers - in this case prismacolor markers. I think I still need some practice but was happy with the result.
All for now - Hope you are having a good week!!!
