Hallo all,
Working today so have to keep it short.....don't want to get late....
I did this card for 2 challenges - first is Flourishes FTTC challenge to use what you bought. Well I hadn't played with my alcohol inks in quite awhile - some of them never even opened sooo....
Flourishes poppies are stamped/embossed in black on a piece of polished stone made with red , orange and gold alcohol inks.
See what everyone else did for this challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog

I also used this weeks sketch from CPS and you can find tons of inspiration for this sketch here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com
I also used a TJ technique on the bottom layer (leftover scrap) called 'faux designer paper'
The card tunred out a bit on the busy side ...ahhh well....
All for now - got the couch calling my name :)

Soft Spring Impressions

Hallo,
Another quick post for you today - this is the other half of the Backround Burst Expasion technique from Technique Junkies that I did this weekend. This side produces a much softer, more subtle look to the backround.
The backround is done with a stamp from Impression Obsession, white craft ink and chalks.
I also used 2 pink ribbons, a clear flower and some DP cut with nesties and layered with a pearl brad to hold them together.
I also used the sketch from CPS for this week again

Vintage pink wedding

Hallo,
Just a quick post today - my computer was being wonky and I spent a couple hours trying to unwonk it.....
I did this card yesterday - I have a co-worker getting married soon so I was trying for a vintage pink card to match her colors. I think I got close at least :).
The backround stamp is from Inpression Obsession and the cake, rings and phrase are from Gina K.
I stamped the backround and the phrase with distress inks and the cake is colored with copics.
I used this weeks sketch from CPS also - I added the ribbon as the card just needed a touch of something more....

All for today - hope to get a couple things done to show you tomorrow.....should do some house work......

China girl

Hallo,

A quick little post today - I am at work today......

This card follows this weeks sketch from CPS which you can find here - http://www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

I used the first sheet of Faux Designer Paper from yesterdays post.

Stamped and embossed the Girl - from Stampin Up - in red, and then cut it out with a nesties label die. I edged it with gold mettalic pen. The red layer is torn and distressed a bit for more texture. The base cardstock was stamped with the oriental writing.

While going through my stash for something to embellish with, I came upon these 2 little red dominos and stamped on the back with white staz on. And a bit of gold cord added for good measure....

Happy Fishin' Day

Hallo,
The rain seems to be holding off here for the moment so I think I am going to try and get some yard work done today....
I am going to use this card for 3 different challenges today - first being the one from Mo's Digital Pencil to use blue, brown and a neutral. The main image is from Mo's - colored with copics.
The second this weeks sketch from CPS - www.cardpostioningsystems.blogspot.com That is where I got the idea for the 3 circles - kinda a modified spotlight technique.

And the third challenge is todays from Flourishes - the Timeless Tuesday challenge #57 - to make a card full of celebration. And of course here we are celebrating Father's Day. The phrase on this card comes from Flourishes 'A Man's View' set. You can see what everyone else has to celebrate here - www.flourishes.org/blog

Outlined in purple

Hallo,
A quick card for you today. I wanted to pick up some of my Outlines stamps again this weekend and I hadn't played along with CPS sketches in awhile so that is where I started.
I took the flower cardstock off one of my DD's birthday cards :) - it was too cute to throw away....
The main panel was stamped with Outlines stamps and colored with copics - I tried to use colors from the flowered panel. I had a hard time deciding on colors so as I often do I ended up doing 2 - I will show you the second one tomorrow. The pics are a bit dark as I lost daylight and took the photos inside....
For more inspiration from this weeks CPS sketch go here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com

Mo's purple gamer

Hallo,
Well I have finally entered the world of Digital Stamps. A friend of mine told me about Mo's Digital pencil....well lets just say I went, I shopped, and shopped, and shopped.....
Go see what I mean - http://www.digitalpenciltoo.com/
This digital of the girl playing a video game soooo reminds me of DD and friends....
I used this last weeks challenge from Flourishes to use the letter P - which of course for me usually means PURPLE. You can check out what everyone else did here - http://www.flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/ Better late than never I guess.

I also used a sketch from CPS and believe it or not its this weeks sketch as in it was posted today - glory is short lived though as this is a BD card for my Niece who's Birthday is today which means the card is going to be LATE.....
Check out the CPS sketch here - http://www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

The main image waas colored with copics - and a smidge of white gel pen and cut with nesties.
All for today - another Mo for you tomorrow.

Together again

Hallo,
I had a hard time with this challenge and sketch yesterday but still managed to do 2 cards - that is because the pink layer was intended for the first card (yesterdays post) but it didn't look right so I had to make a card for it so it didn't go to waste.....
The challenge is from Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use pink and make a card for one of the women in your life. You can find the challenge here - www.flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com
The pink is for Breast Cancer Awareness month - my Mom had her surgery 2 years ago now and didn't need chemo or radiation so we were very happy with that!!!
I combined the FTTC36 with this weeks sketch from CPS which you can find here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com
I used a flourish backround from Flourishes on the card base and the nestie die cut layer.
The main image is from My Favorite Things and is colored with copics.

All for today - I want to try and get a couple things finished for my craft fair next weekend and to show you the next couple days while I work.

Together

Hallo,

Well I didn't get as much time for the craft room as I intended today but I did manage to get a little done around my house - a little each day and eventually I may catch up :).

I started with this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge at Flourishes which you can find here - http://www.flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/
The challenge was to make something for one of the women in your life and to use pink because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
I know several people with Breast Cancer - my Mom had her surgery 2 years ago now but thankfully didnot need chemo or radiation.
Then I saw the sketch over at CPS and decided to use that - I usually need some help when I have to use pink (its not a color I chose very often).
You can find the sketch here - http://www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

I used a flourish backround from Flourishes for the card base and the nestie die cut later both stamped in brown ink.
The main image is from My Favorite Things and is colored with copics - also cut with a nestie, and edged with gold mettalic pen.
The little pearl on the ribbon is a brad.
All for today - gotta try and get some grub going for the fam ....

Pastoral Mom

Hallo,
I hope everyone had a good weekend!!! It was nice and warm here - the kiddos and I even got in the pool for a bit on Sunday afternoon. It was alittle chilly at first but then was fairly nice!!
Got some time to play with some new stamps from Cornish Heriatge Farms and this weeks sketch from CPS.
The stamp you can find here - www.cornishheritagefarms.com
I colored her in with prismacolor pencils.
The sketch you can find here - www.cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com.

I did a whole bunch of these for my Mother's Day cards (I usually send cards to all my girlfriends who are Mom's too...).
And of course I had to try her in several different colors . I will show you the other colors tomorrow - today is the brown and also one I covered with sepia glaze from Ranger.
All for today!!!!
I work the next 2 days but have some pretties preposted for you....
