Leafy Birthday

Hallo,
Another beautiful day here in NW Florida - the cooler weather is so wonderful!!! Went for a walk this am before getting a bit of sleep.
Went pretty much straight to the craft room when I got up :) I did take DS out driving on the stick shift for some practice today (can you say sore neck :)....

This little cutie is colored with prismacolor pencils and cut out with a Spellbinders die as were the leaves.
All for today - should try to study a bit tonight for a test I plan to take next month....

Sweet Birthday

Hallo,
Just a short note before I head off to sleep - the weather is soooo AWESOME this am - nice and cool and the humidity is like zero!!! I went for a walk after work with my silly pup - he was very hyper after being inside all weekend!!!

The background was done with an assortment of Happy Birthday stamps from my collection - seems I have a gazillion 'Happy Birthday' , 'Thank-you', 'Thinking of you' - almost every set comes with one or more of those phrases. I used 7 different ones here and those were just the ones I grabbed in about 30 seconds.....
Topped the card off with a foo foo drink sticker from my stash :).

Halloween Birthday

Hallo,
Another rainy, stormy day here in NW Florida - we had tornado warnings for about 5 hours straight this am starting at about 5 am.
Being from the midwest and very familiar with tornadoes - it got a little spooky a couple times (the lights would flicker several times and the wind would get crazy - twice my ears even popped, my dog was howlin....)
Needless to say - we have been holed up in the house most of the day....but that's ok cause I was in the craft room :)
Todays card is for the current challenge over at the Impression Obsession blog for Birthday card.
I used 'Candy corn tree' (H2264) and I colored it with copics.

My family has alot of fall birthdays and my sister's is the 29th so this will be for her this year.
The phrase - happy birthday - is a rub on which I found on sale several years ago now and pulled out the packet to start using (I am determined to start using more of my stash!!!!)
I just love the pumpkin face ribbon!!! I found it last year after Halloween for really cheep :)

Baseball Boy

Hallo,
A Happy Sunday to you - its still raining here!!!
And raining and raining and raining, and blowing and raining.....well you get the idea.....
A little Phindys card for you today - hard to get a good picture with all the rain!!!
I colored this little guy with prismacolor pencils and cut him out. I kept the design simple - guy/boy style - no fru frus....

Sweet Beginings

Hallo,
Rainy day here and a bit of wind and thunderboomers too - great day to sleep and play in the craft room - but I didn't get much time in the craft room. Once I got up I went over to the local pub to watch the Huskers play - took along some stuff to color (I cannot seem to just sit and watch - have to have something to do!!!)
Tropical storm Lee is bringing us lots of rain - DH emptied about 6 inches out of the pool this am and looks like he'll need to drain more again tonight....
Todays project is one of my baby collections - memory box with memory book, card and embellishments.
This first picture is of the top of the box - its a cigar box that I covered with paper and decorated. This box had some nice wood so I left parts of it showing. The main image is from 'My Favorite Things' as is the phrase. The footed onsie is from 'Impression Obsession' and the regular onsie with phrases is from Gina K. The main image is colored with prismacolor pencils.

The buttons are cut with a die from 'My Favorite Things' using scraps of the same papers I used to cover the box and the book with.
The inside bottom of the box is lined with brown felt.
The book is a chipboard book that has 8 pages (including the covers) and is covered with paper and the front decorated similar to the top of the box.
I made a card to match and cut a bunch of buttons and little onsies so they can be used to decorate the pages.
This gift set will be going up on my Etsy site tomorrow afternoon (or morning if I get to it earlier....).

FTTC Bingo

Hallo,
Quick post before I head off for a nap, working tonight.....looks we have a little blow headed our way for the weekend - going to be a wet one!!!!
This card was done for this weeks Timeless Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes. The challenge was to pick a row on a Bingo card of choices and make a card - I picked the middle vertical row with piercing, pearls and ribbon.
I colored this stamp from Flourishes with peerless watercolors onto watercolor paper and then cut it out with a Spellbinders labels die.
I edged the panel with gold mettalic pen and then pierced along the inside of tht edge.
The ribbon is from my stash and then I used Viva Decor liquid pearls in gold along the outside of the die edges and in 2 corners.

Boo-tiful Borders

Hallo,
I know - its sposed to be Beautiful Borders but I was feeling in a very Halloween mood so I did my borders Halloween style - besides this is one of my newer Outlines stamps and it needed to see some ink!!!
I did this card for the current challenge over at Outlines for 'beautiful borders' The stamps are from Outlines of course - this is a partial of the big Halloween collage stamp - colored with copics.

I used a MS punch along the bottom and some MS Halloween paper that is sticky backed - convient.
I love Halloween and I love this collage stamp from Outlines - you will be seeing more of it!!!
