Another purple painting for a purple themed show. I am not so sure I won't rework this one once the show is finished. I am not too sure about the items in the bottom left corner. I used a bead I made with a base of plaster cloth painted with encaustic and then covered with sari silk ribbon that was also painted with encaustic. The leaves are rice paper....
Will have to look are her awhile and see what she might need.

Back home and back in the studio!!!
Our local Art collective had a themed show for 'purple passion' and this is one I did for that show.
Purple is one of my favorite colors but I don't use it all that much in my paintings, so this was a good way for me to experiment a bit with different shades of purple!!
Encaustic wax, 8 by 8 inches on cradled wood panel, 10 by 10 inches with the float frame.
All for today - back to the studio to play!!!
