I'm here - girly style

Hallo,
Welcome to MONDAY!!!!! I accually like mondays because I am usually off on mondays - not that work didn't call and try to talk me into working today....but I had a few errands to do and the craft room was calling.
Another baby book for you today - using the Tim Holtz chipboard book and papers from the same pad as the boy one - only the more girly colors.
Definatly not traditional pastel pinks but more pinky orangeish, maroonish, and brown. I like how it looks but I plan to make another one with more traditional pinks too.

This book is for another coworker who is expecting a Granddaughter in the next couple months. I plan to show her this one and the one I plan to do in more traditional colors and let her pick.
The little onesie and phrase are both from Gina K's 'Wee Tee's ' set. I made up a bunch of different onsies like I did with the boy box but being a girly book you can fancy them up a little so I will show you those soon - I sure had fun making them - like playing paper dolls!!!!!
On this little onsie I added a neckline of ribbon (I also used this tiny ribbon on the feet of the box - which I will show you tomorrow) and I added some other old ribbon, old buttons and paper flowers too.....
Well I had better be off to start dinner - didn't get as much done around the house today as I would have liked but did manage a long walk and some 'hard' time on torture machine (aka the eliptical...) and got a few errands done - so maybe the house will get some attention tomorrow........

Doodle cards

Hallo,
Well here is a card done with one of my doodle sheets....I colored it with my copics and edged the panel with a gold krylon pen and layered it to brown cardstock.
On top I put a slip of vellum stamped with a tree and phrase - both from Gina K - with brown staz on
Added some yellow rhinestones for some pop....
Down at the bottom I have another card using the same doodle sheet but with this card I left it plain black and white, edged it with a black sharpie for a faux layer and then to an orange card base. On top of that I stamped some cute pumpkins from 'Holly Berry' which I also layered to black and then orange.
I embellished them with some rhinestones that I colored black to match with my black copic.
All for today - Have a good weekend

Baby gift box

Hallo,

Preposting for ya as I am hoping to get all my yard work/house work/meeting/groceries/laundry done and still have time to get in the craft room to make a few things to show you over the next couple days.

I work the next 2 days.....

Todays project may look familiar as it uses the same theme, stamps, and paper.....it is one of my stash of cigar boxes altered to hold the baby book (it fits inside perfectly).

All the stamps are from Gina K - Wee Tees and Sporty Tees - colored with copics....

The inside of the box is lined with patterned felt - brown.

I hope to finish off a card to match today....

All for now - Take Care

Baby book

Hallo,
A few quick pics of my baby gift project that I have been working on yesterday and today.
This is a chipboard book from Tim Holtz that I covered with coordinating papers and stamps from Gina K.
Some of these papers have been in my stash for a long time and some are new from my trip last week....
I have had the stamps from Gina K for awhile - 'Wee Tee's' and 'Sporty Tees'.
I only decorated the front and left the pages on the inside with only the decorative papers - but then I stamped up about 15 different onesies with different phrases and pictures from the Wee Tees set and put them in a little plastic sack. That way my coworker can coordinate the onesie with the picture.

Here's a couple shots of the other inside pages and a shot of the extra onesies (and some extra die cuts and extra sports equipment).
I had a busy day - nice cool weather again this am so I took another long walk and got alot of yard work done - alas no housework done but I am sure this cooler weather won't last much longer so.....
After school I had to run a couple errands for school supplies and then spent about 2 hours at parent night at the HS - introducing all the sports coaches, teams, teachers ect. and then a quick run around the school meeting my DD's individual teachers.... Thank goodness for the crock pot :)
All for tonight - more yard work planned for the am, a mandatory meeting at work, laundry, groceries ect., ect., ect.,

Doodlin' along

Hallo,
Sorry I missed ya'll on friday - didn't get much of anything done all day. Did manage to go to lunch with my friend and chief enabler Pat and my 2 kiddos which was nice - stopped at a couple thrift stores on the way to running the DH his phone he forgot and after lunch (as it was right across the street) - probably should not have stopped at either as now I have a bigger pile of schtuff at the entrance to my craft room......
Just a couple quick pics for you today - the first 2 are a couple pages that I doodled at my Nursing conferance last week. I don't sit still well for long - my hands need something to do and especially in the afternoon after lunch I can pay attention to a lecture much better if my hands are busy. So I usually takes notes on one sheet and then move over and doodle on another when I am not taking notes. I copied these onto cardstock and will try to do something with them this week sometime.....

The last photo is the beginings of a baby project for a coworker - the cigar boxes I have been altering are perfect size to fit one of the chipboard books from Tim Holtz, sooo I am going to decorate the box and the book with similar papers and she will have a small scrapbook for baby pics and a matching box to store it in - the pic shows the papers I am using and the cover of the book which was all I got done on that today.
I wasn't in the craft room long today - I go up early to see the kiddos off to their first day of school - aakkkk - my oldest started HS.
Then I took a long walk as the weather was nice and cool for a change - did yard work, house work, I even got in the pool and did an hour or so of wateraerobics...... I hope to have a little more craft time tomorrow but have a couple errands outside the house to run so we'll see.....

Christmas Collage

Hallo,
Working again today....
Another one of my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' - I really liked this collage stamp - eventually I plan to do a couple cards with this stamp cut up and rearranged but for today I left it as is and colored it with my copics.
You can find this great stamp here - http://www.janlynn.com/ - along with a ton of others!!!!
After coloring I edged the panel with red metallic pen and layered it to some Christmas DP along with a ribbon and some red stickles dots (I didn't have anything else small and red to add - stickles worked just fine - except it wasn't quite dry when I took this pic so had to reapply some to the one corner :).

Simple Christmas

Hallo,
I will be back home as of yesterday but will have to work - so am going to prepost today and tomorrow. Friday is my one day off - which I will do more laundry and finish unpacking - maybe get some craft time and then I work again for the weekend.....
Playing with my new stamps from 'Stamps Happen' again. You can find these and a ton of other stamps here - http://www.janlynn.com/
I started by using one of my nesties labels and just embossed it onto the front of a few cards. Then I stamped Mr. Penquin and the trees with black memento ink and colored them with copics. They were a perfect fit for this label die.
Both phrases are from Gina K.
All for today - Stay Healthy (we always have more than enough business to keep us runnin'...!!)

Swingin' Christmas

Hallo,
Welcome to monday!!!! I hope you had a great weekend!!!
I am still up in South Carolina at a Nursing Conferance - the learning never stops when you are a Nurse!!!
Preposting a couple cute Christmas cards for you.
This crazy cat reminds me of my cats - my old one (18 years old now) used to love to climb the Christmas tree (she has mellowed some with age but still loves to hide among the presents under the tree. The 2 younger ones I am sure with still be a challenge this year again.
This stamp is from 'Stamps Happen' and you can find him here - http://www.janlynn.com/
I stamped him and colored with copics - then I went over him with an embossing pen and embossed with clear powder and sponged the backround.

I always seem to have to do 2 versions - so one kitty is orange and one is gray.
He's hard to see but there is a tiny mouse hiding by the lower pink light bulb in this one and by the purple bulb in the next version - soo cute!!!
All for this post - preposting as I am driving back from my conferance today . I hope to have something to prepost for you for the next couple days too as I work the next 2 (12 hour shifts don't leave much time for anything else).

Rockin Ink...adinkado

Hallo,
Just a short post for ya today - trying to get laundry done and all packed for my weekend trip. I have a Nursing conferance over the weekend in Hilton Head S.C.. I am driving up tomorrow via Jacksonville - have 2 stamp store stops plotted there :).
I made up a few more Rocker cards today to go with a gift box that I will show you tomorrow.
The stamps are from Inkadinkado.
With this first one - I stamped/embossed in black and then cut the image out with my nesties. Leaving the die on the cardstock I sponged ink over the image for the backround which leaves a nice white edge - then I put a thin edge of silver pen on it.

These last 2 cards I stamped the guitar and phrase - also Inkadinkado - on to vellum and embossed with white.
All for today 0 need to get a coiple things done in the craft room also - in addition to packing. I will be preposting for the rest of the week and begininging of next week (I work 4 of 5 days in a row when I get back from my trip so won't be too much time to stamp then...)
Have a great week!!!
