Last day of Gina K previews

Hallo,
Well today is the last day of previews for this months release from Gina K - tomorrow is the release party!!!
Today I am previewing 'Labeled with Love' and 'Winter Wings'.
This first card is a very simple one using both sets. I used my scor pad to make the lines and the dotted lines with the help of a scor buddy. (I thought the dotted lines would match the ones on the label).
I stamped both stamps with navy ink and cut out the label with one of the new Spellbinders dies.
Next up is a Christmas card with the cardinal from the Winter Wings set, colored with copics. I edged that panel and the phrase panel with metallic red pen and added some red rhinestones to the phrase, some of the berries, and the corners.

Lastly is another Christmas card - I stamped the label and the phrase in burgundy and edged all the panels with gold metallic pen.
I cut the snowflakes with Spellbinders dies out of shimmery paper and then added stickles for more glitter. I punched a hole in the center and put my snowflake flower together with a pearl brad.
That's all for me tonight - I have some acorn squash in the oven and with do some cashew chicken tonight (don't worry I am not ill - its from a kit.....for those of you who know me - I don't cook much, not that I can't, I just don't really like to...)
I finished off steam cleaning all the carpets today - my house smells nice, especially since it was nice and cool today so I left all the windows and doors open (only got up to 80 today...).
I will be back with more Gina K deliciousness tomorrow evening.
Be sure to pop by the other DT blogs for more previews of todays sets!!!

Herds of teacups

Hallo,
Back for another Gina K blog hop - I am having so much fun!!!
First up for the day is a card done with the new 'Funny Farm' set. I did some masking, colored with my copics and then cut out the cows so I could herd them together.... :) This is such an adorable set!!! I just got it in my mailbox late this afternoon so only got one card done so far....
The next few cards are done with the new 'Tea Time' set - and as often happens with me I couldn't decide which DP to use so ended up doing a card for all 3 DP's that I pulled out :)
I embossed the teapots and cups on the DP with gold embossing powder and then shaded with copics.
You might laugh at how I chose the ribbons - I have several ribbon boxes, but one I use most. Well some of the piles in my craftroom grew overnight and expanded on top of that ribbon box so I went searching in the one ribbon box I could reach without having to shift a pile.....

All for me today - I still haven't managed to get through the last 2 days blog hops to see what everyone else has done with these sets. But I did get some yard work done today while it was nice and cool and got about half the rooms in my house steam cleaned (which they really needed!!!)
Be sure to stop by the other Gina K designers blogs - what I have seen so far is awesome.

Gina K Blog Hop!!!!

Hallo,
I am so excited to be here today!!!!! I was at party/family reunion for my Mom and Step-Dad's 25th Wedding Anniversary this weekend so couldn't get in on yesterdays blog hop....
Our plane got in about noon today and I went straight to the craft room with the package of stamps that was waiting for me :)
Let me tell you this release from Gina K is AWESOME!!! I was without Internet all weekend at home so I haven't had a chance to even look at what the gals did with yesterdays previews!!!! But I see some serious computer time for me after dinner tonight!!!!
My DH has been so sweet to me today - he did the laundry, cleaned the pool and is now cooking dinner so I can get this up for you all :).
This first card uses the 'Fanciful Fall' set and I had a totally different backround in mind for my pile of pumpkins - but somehow it didn't look right so I had to hunt through my pile of DP and came up with this DP .
I did a bit of masking and used several of the images in this set to decorate my pumpkins. I loved how this phrase fits in the big pumpkin. Colored with copics and cut out - the top pumpkin is popped up on foam tape.

For this second card I used the new 'So Groovy' set and I couldn't resist doing some paper piecing with the funky van.... I almost used the flower DP behind to paper piece but that was just too obvious :)....
I shaded a bit with copic markers - and the tires. Used a silver metallic pen for the bumpers and door handles.

I also have some really cool news for you tomorrow!!!! Eeeeekk I am really excited about this one!!!!!
Well I did this card awhile back for a challenge
over at Stamp TV. The stamps are from GINA K (there's a hint there somewhere :)
I stamped the butterflys onto vellum, colored them with copics and then cut them out - added pearls to one and rhinestones to the other and layered them to this great DP.

The phrase was stamped and framed with this lovely hardware piece.

Carosel Spotlight

Hallo,
Welcome to Monday - I ran a bunch of errands this morning but did manage a couple hours at the craft table too.
I did this card for this weeks FTTC84 challenge over at Flourishes - www.flourishes.org/blog/
The challenge this week was to use a spotlight technique.
I stamped the carosel horse onto tan paper with brown ink and colored the spotlight with copics.
I didn't add too much in the way of layers and embellies because I kinda liked it simple today....
All for today - have to get ready to work tonight.
I only have tonight and tomorrow night and then I have 9 days off!!!!! My family and I are popping up to Nebraska this weekend for my Mom and Step-Dad's 25th wedding anniversary gala and family reunion!!!! I am really looking forward to it - alot of people I haven't seen in a loooongg time are coming!!!

Fall Dreams

Hallo,

I had a couple hours of crafting time this afternoon - have to work tonight so gotta get dinner going and pack my lunch...

I did this card for 2 different challenges.

First is this months Design Team Challenge over on Gina K's blog - http://www.blog.ginakdesigns.com/ The challenge was a favorite fall memory.

Well I love fall and the changing leaves - but here in NW Florida we don't get to see alot of the changing leaves....one year when the kids were little we just happened to be home in Nebraska during the fall and the kids had a blast playing in the leaf piles I raked up!!! I told them that no leaf is exactly like any other and they spent about 1/2 hour trying to find 2 leaves that matched :)

All stamps are from Gina K - colored with copics. I used an out-of-the-box technique and then popped the leaves on 2 corners up to boot.

The second challenge I am using this for is from the icopic Lover blog - color challenge for brown, yellow and orange. Check out this new copic challenge blog here - http://blog.icopic.com
All for tonight as off to work I go :)

Sweet pumpkin witch

Hallo,
This sketch may look familiar - same as yesterdays, and also an 8X10 made to frame like yesterdays.
The main image is from Sweet Pea Stamps.
I colored her with my copics and shaded around her with copic cool grays.
No sooner than I got the main panel glued down for yesterdays project did I wack myself upside the head thinking I should have used some cuttlebug folders behind it - so of course I had to do another one using texture folders and coordinations paper.
I also used a texture folder on the TH distress flowers.
I am using this for 4 different challenges - a record for me I think!!!
1 - In a Sweet Pea Dream challenge blog to show your dream and as you can see I am still dreaming of fall :) http://www.inasweetpeadreamchallengeblog.blogspot.com/
2 - Sweet Pea Stampers sketch challenge - http://www.sweetpeastamperschallenge.blogspot.com/
3 - Icopic 's color challenge for orange, brown and yellow - http://blog.icopic.com/
4 - Copic Creations for shading in or outside the image - http://www.copiccreations.wordpress.com/
Check out all these great blogs!!!! I am quickly becoming a challenge junkie here....

Oh yes I added some stickles to the kitty too - silver for her wings and black diamond for the rest of her - I used a small paint brush to get a lighter coat.
On the home front - some of my craft buddies and I went to an Estate sale today and it was a crafters mecca - the lady of the house was obviously even more of a craft addict than I am - she must have done alot of quilting and rubberstamping/scrapbooking but also knitted, crocheted, painted, and caligraphy just to name the obvious ones (judging by supplies)
I came home loaded :) - I will really have to restrain myself and not go back for more tomorrow......
All for tonight - Take Care
Tera

Sweet Halloween

Hallo,
I did this for 2 different Sweet Pea challenges, using one of my newest images from Sweet Pea Stamps.
This is an 8X10 made to frame - pic of it in a frame at the bottom.
The first challenge was the sketch challenge over at the Sweet Pea Stampers blog - www.sweetpeastampschallenge.blogspot.com.
The second challenge is from the new In a Sweet Pea Dream challenge blog - www.inasweetpeadreamchallengeblog.blogspot.com - and the challenge was something you dream about. Well I dream about fall and I love Halloween - summers here in NW Florida are waaaayyy too hot for me so I love it when fall comes and it starts to cool off a bit!!!!
I colored the main image with prismacolor pencils. My pics are a bit wonky color-wise but this first one is most true to life....

All for today - gotta force myself to get some housecleaning done - tomorrow I am going to an estate sale with some friends (it advertises alot of craft stuff!!!)

Elegant Friends

Hallo,
A quick post this am before I head to bed - it was a pace the halls, bang head against the wall kinda night for staying awake for me last night so I am really looking forward to my bed!!!!
All these cards today were done on the same gray cardstock - the first I stamped/embossed the backrounder (from Cornish Heritage Farms) with clear powder, the next with white and the 3rd with black embossing powder.
The labels stamp and phrase are from Gina K. I colored the flowers with white colored pencil.
All for now - work again tonight then a couple days off - thursday my crafting buddies and I are going to an estate sale that looks to have a boatload of craft stuff.....should be fun!!!!

Blue Wisemen

Hallo,
Well it is early monday am - very early, like 1230 am and I am awake and can't sleep.....guess it is just as well as I work night shift tonight and so if I am tired I should get a nap in this afternoon (which I often can't...). So will play on the computer and read for an hour or so and head back to bed......
First I will show you what I added to my sittin' spot on the porch yesterday. I found this metal wall hanging curbside thursday morning when I was out for my morning walk - someone was throwing it away. It is in almost perfect shape and even still had the wire strung to hang it with. I thought it added to my sittin' spot very nicely!!!!
Next is a card I made for this months Christmas challenge in the Flourishes forum over at Splitcoast Stampers - this month challenge is for a 'blue Christmas'. Well I love blue for Christmas cards and decorations so this is right up my alley - I have made 4 different cards so far for this challenge.

The wisemen are stamped onto some gold paper with a matching gold patterned paper behind it. I colored them with copics and added some spica glitter pens to the flourishes on their robes.
The ribbon is from my stash - a garage sale find from some time ago and it matched just perfectly.
And lastly added some blue rhinestones to finishe it off!!!
Well all for now - off to do some blog surfin' and read a bit before heading back to bed. I have a ton of errands to run tomorrow morning and a few chores to accomplish (there is always plenty of both .....).

Golden Butterfly

Hallo,
Good Morning to you !!!!
I am starting the morning a bit slow - its gets busy after lunch. I have a gaggle of teenagers coming over to 'film' a project with my DD for school - something about reenacting a battle....this should be good (I plan on keeping my camera handy too, you never know...:)
I did this card awhile back for one of the challenges on Stamp TV. The butterfly and phrase are from Gina K - colored with copics. The felted DP has a gold tone to it and then the layer behind it is a gold irridescent paper too. Much prettier IRL.
All for now - I am going to get out and do a bit of yard work and then get in the pool for some wateraerobics before the gang gets here.....

Blue drummer boy

Hallo,
Just a quick bit of a post tonight as my couch is ever so sweetly calling my name (or is that my bed... :).
I finished off this and a couple other cards yesterday for this months Christmas challenge over at the Flourishes Forum at Splitcoast Stampers...the challenge is for 'blue Christmas'.
I colored this Drummer Boy on white paper with prismacolor pencils and then cut him out. I layered him to a gold DP cut with a Spellbinders die - and the back DP comes from the same pack.
The ribbon is a creamy gold with black flocking - seriously sweet - got it on sale at HL (its a 30 yard roll but I really don't think I will have any trouble using it up!!!).
I didn't get much stamping time today - did a couple hours yard work, and spent some time tagging stuff to go into my booth at the flea market (I am being optimistic that I will sell a bunch this weekend!!!). And then sat for awhile with a good book..... I should get a bit of craft table time tomorrow....
All for tonight - Take Care
Tera

Flourishes Birthday!!!!

Hallo,
Wishing Flourishes a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today with this card made for their birthday challenge - check out the challenge here - www.flourishes.org/blog/
I used the very first set I ordered from them for their birthday card - They are 3 years old BTW.
I love this coffee set - even if I don't drink coffee - I love the stacked cups and the little flourish design. I have used this set ALOT!!!
Main image is colored with copics, the layers are cut with Spellbinders labels dies, tops 2 I sponged the edges with memento brown (which is what I stamped them in too) and the brown layer is edged with mettalic gold pen.
All for today - have to get out and run my errands now. I did a bunch of yard work yesterday and woke up stiff as a board and oh my so sore so I was a bit slow getting moving. Got out for a walk with my pooch which helps to loosed things up a bit, did my stretches (which I have been neglecting....) and a nice hot bath and low and behold I can move again.......deep breath, deep sigh and now I am off and running.....
Have a great day!!!
