Glass Vase

Hallo,
Short post - work day - this is a glass vase that I stamped on - turned out pretty I think...
I stamped with white staz on with 2 backrounds from CHF http://cornishheritagefarms.com/ - 'pretty pattern' on 2 sides and 'sophisticated swirls' on the other 2 - alternating.
I then stamped with the flourish from CHF's 'beautiful' set in teal and midnight blue staz on.
The first picture is with the vase by itself - the second one I put a piece of white paper in it to show off the blue flourishes and the last 2 pics I put a black piece of paper inside to show off the white designs.
All for tonight - TFL

Pool Project

Hallo,
Short post - our project for this afternoon was to put in a new liner for our pool - so this is before as we (mostly the DH) got the floor ready - ie pull weeds, flatten it again...
The next 2 pics are at the end when we had the liner all smooth and the support stuff attatched to the pilars and are putting water in it.
The neighbors have already been in their pool already so my 2 are ready to get in too.
We had some help from our friend Doug - boy was I glad he was here to help us!!!!
All for now - I will have several posts today as I can only post 4 pics each and I took a few flower pics today while doing yard work.

My FLowers

Hallo,
Some pictures of flowers in my yard to show off.
This first one is some of my cactus - I have these in a hanging basket on the fence - tried for many years to keep more traditional flowers in the hanging baskets but could never keep up with watering them here in the summer (they need it almost twice a day) but the cactus seem to love it!!!
The second photo is one of 3 trellis with clemetis plants climbing on them - I seem to have good luck with these and they will bloom for a couple months yet untill it gets hot and then I will get some blooms out of them again in the fall.
The last 2 are some of my Iris - I love iris but they don't bloom well with our hot summers - seems to sap them and the don't bloom as much as up north, but that said I have had more blooms from my Iris this year than ever!!! Yippee!!!
Well all for now.

Shrink leaves

Hallo,
Gotta get rollin today if I am to have any time to craft - the DH and I, along with a friend who's done it, before are going to install a new liner in our above ground pool today - wish us LUCK - LOTS OF LUCK!!! The kids have been eager to get in the pool - although its a little cool this am - only 63 right now....
Today I have for you a braclet made with shrink art charms. The charms are a little bigger than I had envisioned so I will have to do another one with smaller charms eventually. I plan to make a necklace and earrings to go with this ...eventually :).
To make these I used several backrounder stamps from CHF http://cornishheritagefarms.com/ - I used 'pretty pattern', 'sophisticated swirls' and 'geometric flowers'. I stamped them in various colors of staz on - blazing red, saddle brown, timber brown, mustard, pumpkin and olive - then I colored them with chalks in fall colors. I traced several leaf patterns and cut them out, punched a hole for the jump ring and then shrunk them. I attatched them to the chain with jump rings and them added a magnetic clasp. I did add a little gold krylon to the edges of the leaves too. *Tip* When using shrink paper for charms use the translucent or clear to show pattern on both sides - if you use white, the pattern won't show on the back side (I love the white for pins where the back doesn't show - the white gives very clear, sharp lines when you stamp).
All for today.

Woodgrain fisherman

Hallo,
Raining this am here - thought it was done and headed out for a walk and it started all over again so will have to try later. Meanwhile I will post for today and work on some ATC's for a swap....
Todays cards are 2 more I did for the week long backrounder blitz at CHF http://cornishheritagefarms.com/ . These 2 cards were both done with the woodgrain backrounder and the Thomas Kinkade fisherman both from CHF. For the first one I stamped the fisherman in chocolate chip on white paper, masked an oval and stamped the 'woodgrain' over it with walnut stain distress ink. Then I used chalk to color the woodgrain frame and added some amber colored dew drops to 2 corners.

For the second card I stamped the fisherman in staz on stone gray, masked an oval and stamped the woodgrain in weathered wood distress ink. Using chalks I colored in the woodgrain frame with gray and blue gray chalks and then colored in the image in the oval also in chalks with colored pencils used in a few places to outline and define....and added some blue dew drops to this one.
Well that's all for today - I am seeing sunshine and my mutt is whining at the patio door so I guess its time to go for that walk...

Tuscan Courtyard

Hallo,
Well I got some more yard work done today - last weeks neglect is almost caught up with - If I don't pull weeds almost every day I don't work, the weeds just take over!! But I love my flower beds - my Iris are blooming better than they have in a long long time (florida is too hot for them to bloom at their best). Right now I have cut flowers in my house right now - iris, glads, gerber daisy and an amaryilis.
Todays card - I was trying for a Tuscan feel - didn't turn out as well as I had envisioned but ok.
The backround stamps are from - can you guess?, Yup from Cornish Heritage Farmshttp://cornishheritagefarms.com/ . I used 'pretty pattern' on the upper left corner and 'weave' on the lower right - masking over the center image from Stamps On Fire. I colored in the ' pretty pattern' attempting to make it look like weathered tiles in the upper left and colored the main image all with prismacolor pencils. The fence down front is from Alexstamping.
All for now - we are headed out for some lunch...

Kissing cats

Hallo,
3 cards to share with ya - this first one uses the 'walnut stain' technique from Technique Junkies on the backround with a stamp from CHF http://cornishheritagefarms.com/
called 'sophisticated swirls' backrounder. The main image is a stamp from 'Cherry Pie' that I inked in carmel adirondack ink and 'kissed' with CHF's backrounder 'pretty pattern' inked in chocolate chips ink on white paper. I edged both panels with copper krylon added some yellow brads and layered them both on dark brown paper. The second photo is a close up of the first card.
For the second and third cards I inked the cat stamp in ginger adirondack ink and the backrounder 'pretty pattern' in chocolate chip ink and 'kissed' them. On the second card I colored the blank spot with shades of blue and mounted it on blue toned DP on which I had stamped the flourish from CHF's 'beautiful' set and then on blue cardstock and added blue brads. For the third card I colored the blank spot with sunset colors and mounted it on green toned DP on which I had again stamped the flourish from CHF, and then mounted on green cardstock with copper brads.
I didn't do any stamping today - but I did go to a bunch of garage sales this am (would you believe I didn't buy a thing - almost unheard of!!!) and then I did a hour or so yard work (its getting almost too warm here). And I spent some time catching up on blog surfin.... DH is out on the Harley and the kids are watching TV - lazy day for Fujan clan (except for the couple hours DH spent working on the pool - we have to put in a new liner this week)
All for now - Have a great weekend!!!

Window Flowers

Hallo,
Blogging early so I can run a couple errands and make a bee-line for the craft table - today is the last day of challenges at CHF http://cornishheritagefarms.com/ .
These 2 cards use all CHF stamps and several layers of masking. I first stamped the window and then masked and stamped 'sophisticated swirls' to look like wallpaper inside the house. Then I masked again and stamped the 'woodgrain' backrounder to make it look like the outside of the house. Colored in with prismacolor pencils.
With the second card I used 'victorian pattern 2' for the inside wallpaper but other wise the same with different colors - I can never make just one card with one color theme, always have to try at least one other color and often 4 or 5 combo's...
All for today

Pretty Sophisticated Gypsy

Hallo,
Just one card to show you tonight - again this was made for challenges this week on Cornish Heritage Farms backrounder blitz http://cornishheritagefarms.com/ .
I used 2 different backrounders - 'pretty pattern' stamped in balzing red stazon for the middle layer and 'sophisticated swirls' done with a Technique Junkie technique called walnut stain for the top and bottom layers. The gypsy is also CHF and she was colored with prismacolors and highlighted with stickles glitter and all the panels were edged with gold krylon. The flower is a dried flower from my Mom's garden. Hi Mom !!!
All for tonight.

Purple CHF

Hallo,
Quick post tonight as I got off work late and am 'feelin' it.
Two cards for ya tonight - both of which I did for challenges at Cornish Heritage Farms backrounder blitz this weekhttp://cornishheritagefarms.com/. I love their backrounders and have had alot of fun playing along with all the challenges this week.
This first card was done with Stampin Up's eggplant ink , lavender distress ink and it used 3 different backrounders - top left is 'victorian pattern 2', top right is victorian pattern 2 'kissed' with weave backrounder. The bottom left is 'sophisticated swirls'. bottom right is weave backrounder.
I edged each panel in the eggplant for as in the Aged tile tehcnique from Technique Junkies and stamped with the shadow flower.
The second card uses the same backrounders cut to inchies - I then stamped some flourishes from another CHF set called "Beautiful" and words from several MFT sets, layered them on black to the white card base stamped with the purple shadow flower.
I added purple dew drops to each card.
All for tonight
