Christmas Wine Card

 Hallo,

Made this card for a coworker for our work Christmas gift exchange. She had wine on her Christmas list and this was a cute digi I found from Sal Scheibe (Etsy) I had a couple other digis from this artist from back when I was a design Team member for Sweet Pea Stamps and was glad to find them on Etsy again!!!

I colored her with prismacolor and polychrome pencils and embellished with red rhinestones and a die cut Merry Christmas.

Have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas !!!

More locker hook rugs....

Hallo,

Finished off a couple more locker hook rugs in the last month - these are a bit smaller than I normally make but still good size. They are made with flannel.

I am offering a locker hook class at HH Arts gallery here in Fort Walton Beach Florida in January and made these up for samples - plus I am still working on rugs that I have been making for my siblings and nieces and nephews.

The flannel is easy to work with and nice and soft and fluffy to walk on.

Festive Christmas cards

Hallo,
Trying to use up stuff I have had in my stash for awhile - someone gave me a box of craft items a couple years ago and it included some Christmas themed stickers and such so I decided to make a couple cards with them.

So ows your Holidays so far???

Hallo,

Sows your Holidays shaping up? I couldn't resist using this one for a few Christmas cards - can't even remember who makes it. I colored her up with prismacolors and added a die cut Merry Christmas with copper shiny paper and bronze pearl drops.

So far I have made 60 Christmas cards and would you believe it really hasn't even made hardly a dent in the stack of Christmas papers I have....I probably have enough paper to make a couple thousand Christmas cards at this rate....

   Have a great day!!!

Ornament cards

Hallo,

Just a short post before work this am.

Some coloring, some die cutting, some fussy cutting all on a kraft card base for a vintage type look.

Finally getting close to the end of my Christmas card making frenzy - only about 20 cards to go( I send out over 70 cards every year). I finished off about 25 cards over this weekend.

Polar bear cards

Hallo,

Well with the long weekend and not too much to do, I finished off a boatload of cards. I color images sitting on the couch during the week before bed and then it is fairly quick to put them all together over the weekend sometime.

I am keeping things simple for layout and embellishments this year because I am behind the power curve getting them made.

This cute polar bear image is from 'Sheep Ski Designs', colored with prismacolor pencils, edged with a silver krylon pen and I used some silver pearl drops  in the corners. The Merry Christmas die is from 'Top Dog'

Fall Creek

Hallo,
I made a very quick weekend trip home to Nebraska in October to see family. I was hoping for a little fall color too but as you can see from the first pic, most of the color was already gone, and we had foggy, murky days to boot.
However this pic is from the creek near where I grew up and can well remember the glorious fall colors from growing up. We played all along this creek from this bridge about 3/4 mile south all along the windings through the fields to the bridge about 3/4 miles to the east ....
The painting started with the first pic - a background of encaustic and oil sticks.
In the last 3 pics I broke out my hot pens to play with - have had them several years, just haven't really played with them much, so will be doing several paintings just to get some practice with them.
I am really missing fall this year more than I usually do so I hope you are in the mood too as there are several more in the works.

Sympathy cards

Hallo,

I needed a sympathy card this week. My Uncle passed away earlier this week from cancer.

The photos didn't edit well due to the shimmery nature of the vellum. These 2 cards are very pretty in real life. The base cardstock is a beautiful shimmery paper from Paper Temptress in a light turquoise.

This is a Flourishes image by Marcella Hawley - Flourishes is no longer in business but Marcella started her own stamp store called 'Power Poppy" and has some beautiful images, lots of flowers that I love!!!

All for today - gotta get off to that work thing....
