Lace and teacups

Hallo,
Another quick back post for you this wednesday afternoon. Well I got my booth set up at the flea market so we will see how it goes - the space rental is alot of $$ - but I have always done a couple craft fairs each year too and this booth fee equals what 4 - one day craft fairs would cost me and its for the whole month.....
I did this card for a challenge over at Flourishes blog - www.flourishes.org/blog/ and the challenge was for lace. I used the same piece of glimmer lace technique from Technique Junkies and cut it with my new spellbinders die called wonky squares...

All for now - I worked last night an haven't slept yet (and probably won't till bedtime tonight - normal bedtime anyway not night shift workers bedtime :).
I will have to go get my DD from a HS after school meeting about 4 so will try to get more of my cards priced to put in the booth tomorrow....

Lace Fairy

Hallo,
Well it is wednesday am and I am back posting for when I had origionally planned to post some of these - first I ran out of space on the blog and had to buy more and then for some strange reason my lap top wireless is not picking up for me - I have it hard wired for now to catch up a bit... And I had to work... and I have been trying to get stuff together to have a booth at a local indoor flea market for a couple months ( I hadnot expected space to open up for awhile yet....). ANYWAY - I have both our little pick-up and the van loaded and need to get to it - guess I needed bit of a blog fix first...
I did this card for a challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers - for lace and pearls. The backround is a technique from Technique Junkies called glimmer lace - I sprayed glimmer mist over a piece of lace and then I used a piece of lace in a similar color and bronzy/coppery colored pearls that I won from Vanessa - www.lovinlifescrappinit.com over at Sweet Pea Stampers.

The Sweet Pea image is colored with copics and edged with copper mettalic pen.
All for now - going to try to catch up on the rest of the week :).

Dream Label - Gina K

Hallo,
Just a quick post tonight - DH is out of town, DS is already asleep, and DD is staying over at a friends and I am working on craft stuff.
My Chief Enabler Pat and I went to Pensacola shopping today - went to HL, JoAnn's, and a couple thrift shops, as well as our usual lunch stop at a great little place downtown.
I put myself on a waiting list for a booth at an indoor flea market a month or so ago, thinking I had a couple months - well low and behold one came open and I start on Sept. 1st.....so I have been gathering stuff to display stuff on and am now in the process of digging all my finished projects out of all the nooks and crannies around my house and getting them priced and tagged.....then I have to get busy crafting itself with hopes of "needing' to keep the shelves from getting bare.....wish me luck!!!
I did this card for a challenge over at Stamp TV last week - color challenge I believe for red, black and pink. The label frame is from Gina K and the phrase is from StampLand. The flowers were colored and stamped (and colored) again to layer on top.

All for tonight - back to my closets and tags.....

Pink Flowers

Hallo,
I finished these this afternoon - they were for last weeks challenge over at Flourishes - www.flourishes.org/blog/
The challenge was a color challenge for soft yellow, light pink, bright pink and black.
The base cardstock is kraft cardstock onto which I stamped a backrounder 'inked' up with acrylic paint. (the backrounder is from Cornish Heritage Farms - sadly no longer in business).
I colored all the flowers for all 4 cards with copics and layered them to black cardstock and embellishing with wither yellow rhinestones or black flat-backed pearls, and one of them with silk flowers too.
I have a couple more to finish and then I plan to make a gift box for them. I really didn't think I would like this color combo but ended up really liking how they turned out!!!
All for tonight - I am going shopping with my Chief Enabler Pat tomorrow - HL, Mike's, JoAnn's and maybe a thrift store or 2..... :)

Peek a boo

Hallo,
Another sweet Phindy image for this weeks challenge for a baby or small child card - check it out here - www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com

I colored the image with copics and layered it to 2 coordinating DP's, I found a soft matching ribbon to match.
Its been a busy week for me with work and errands - I start next week with a booth at a local indoor flea market so have had a bunch to do to get that ready.

Milk and cookies

Hallo,
Just a quick post - I had meant to get this card done earlier this week and didnot (therefore I am backposting :).
I did this for this weeks challenge over at Phindys - www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com

The challenge this week was babys or small children and I couldn't resist this image. I remember my cats trying to get to the milk and cookies we left out for Santa when my kiddos were little.....
I colored the image with copics and cut both layers with Spellbinders labels dies - and it wasn't until I lined up to cut the red layer that I noticed the phrase 'milk and cookies' - so of course I had to adjust and include it where it could be seen.
All for today - Take Care

Belle's Dreams

Hallo,
I did the boy version of this card awhile back so this weeks challenge over at Mo's was the perfect time to do the girl version.
The challenge at Mo's this week is all about little girls - check out the DT samples here - http://www.mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com/.

I colored this sweet little girl with copics and cut her out to layer on top of her 'dream' car (the dream car is a stamp from Stamping Bella).
The phrase is a partial stamp from Stampland.
I have to work tonight so had better get myself a rollin'

Halloween Inchies

Hallo,
I was using this paper on friday for a card for a challenge and decided to use the scraps for a couple inchie cards. I finished them up last evening.
I slept so good yesterday - nice rainy day perfect for sleeping - only to get a phone call at 5 to put me off work for the night as our patient levels had dropped and it was my turn .....I spent most of the night after the family went to bed, blog surfin, reading and coloring up some images to make into cards today......
The Inchie Inklings challenge is on The Classroom blog this time - you can find the sketch and some inspiration here - www.ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2010/08/max-and-whiskers-trio.html
The only stamping on the first card is the phrase which is an old SU one.
I used some Halloween charms bought last year on sale after Halloween...and edged the panels in copper mettalic pen.
The second card doesn't have and stamping. I used a cuttlebug folder and some coredinations paper for one panel. All the olther DP is from Memory Box.

Hope your weekend has been great so far - Take Care

Gold and Red

Hallo,
A small prepost for you today - another card for this weeks challenge and the monthly blog candy contest over at Sweet Pea Stampers - check out their blog for challenge details and check out the great blog-candy they are offering for the month of august!!!!
www.sweetpeastampschallenge.blogspot.com
I used the same Sweet Pea image as yesterday but stamped her onto white cardstock and used reds instead of greens to color her. Colored her with prismacolor pencils also. I edged her and the DP panels (Memory Box I believe) all with a red mettalic pen and then cut the swirls/flourishes out of red mettalic paper.

Gold and Rhinestones

Hallo,
I have had a good day so far - my Chief Enabler Pat and I went to lunch and some shopping today. We went to one thrift store and then to A.C. Moore and JoAnn's, and Tuesday Morning too - it was a rainy day but we must have been meant to shop as it rained whenever we were driving and then as we got to where we wanted to shop it would stop, only to start again when we got back in the car.....
I finished this card and one other this am before lunch with Pat - every time I headed out to do some yard work this am it would start raining again so I headed into the craft room instead - lucky me :)

This is an image from Sweet Pea stamps , done for this weeks challenge over at Sweet Pea Stampers - http://www.sweetpeastampschallenge.blogspot.com/

Check out the blog for info on this challenge and they are having a great month long challenge for some pretty cool blog-candy too!!!!
The challenge this week was (using a Sweet Pea image) and swirls of some sort. My swirls on this card are the rhinestone swirls - from Memory box I believe, I cut them apart to fit how I wanted it too.
I stamped her onto gold iridescent paper from Paper Temptress and colored her with prismacolor pencils. I layered her onto some Memory box paper and onto a gray base cardstock. I also added a little spider brad over in the tree branches to the right....
I am going to prepost another Sweet Pea card for tomorrow - I work tonight and tomorrow night. I might have something for you on Sunday depending on sleep an all....I am off Sunday but work Monday and tuesday.....then 5 off :)

Pretty in Pink

Hallo,
Well a bit more caught up on sleep today - got some yard work done this am - watered the plants as I pulled weeds with the water dripping off my nose, earlobes, eyebrows, chin.....phew way to hot, the occasional boughts of rain felt good....
I came in to cool off and sat to do another card for this weeks challenge over at Phindys - www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com

I had already had this sweet teen colored up and all I had to do was make up the card.
She is colored with prismacolor pencils - edged with a pink copic and then gold mettalic pen and layered to some pink ribbon. I added some flowers from my stash and a couple rhinestones.
All for today - gotta get ready to go to 'Meet the teachers' night at the HS with both the kiddos.

Pink surfin'

Sleep, sleep, wonderful sleep - I need more sleep......
Hallo,
As you may have notice I am a bit tired this afternoon - worked last night and got about 4 hours sleep this am and then up to run errands.....that is one disadvantage of night shift - first day off if you sleep too much then you can't sleep when the family's 'normal' bedtime is - but then you are groggy and tired all day.....still working on managing that!!!!
I got this card done for this weeks challenge at Phindy's - http://www.phindysplacechallenge.blogspot.com/

I colored Mrs. Comfy with prismacolor pencils and layered her to some flowery DP from Memory Box and 2 different ribbons, added a paperclip thingy that matched and some turquoise rhinstones.
All for today - better keep moving.....

Oma's Flowers

Note to self - don't try to stay up after working 12 hour night shift just to get a card done for a challenge......
Hallo,
As you may have guessed I stayed up after getting home from work this am to finish off this card for this weeks challenge over at Mo's Digital Challenge - www.mosdigitalchallenge.blogspot.com
I had the paper piecing already done from that Mo's challenge a few weeks ago (Oma's shirt, skirt and Opa's jacket) so I colored in the rest (or at least attempted to) and finished it off with some DP and buttons.
I hadnot planned on cutting this sweet couple out but had some blobs in my coloring due to sleepy nods of my head......
Ah well - finished card, took phots and got them loaded on the computer because it was sposed to rain today and then went to bed.
I got myself up a bit later than planned but with just enough time to shower and write you all a bit of a note before heading off for another night of work.....
All for today - see you tomorrow - AFTER I sleep....LOL

Dappled Purple

Hallo,
Spent some time coloring in the craft room this weekend and this is one of the cards I did. I did this for Flourishes 'Make it Beautiful' challenge over at the Flourishes blog - www.flourishes.org/blog/
I colored the horse with copics - using the blender to make the light dapples and then added a few dark dapples in also. I used the warm grays to color him and then pinks and purples for the harness and saddle to match the DP.
Finally I added some rub-on's, rhinstones and a pretty button.

Earlier in the week I did this pretty horse to match "Black Beauty" well this one matches another of my favorite books as a kid called "The Blind Conemera" which is an Irish breed that is white to gray colored and often has some dappling.....
All for today - have some chores to do and will try to get a nap before I work tonight.....

Sketch Lily

Hallo,
I had some time in the craft room yesterday and came up with these 2 cards for this weeks Flourishes FTTC79 sketch. Check here for the sketch and samples from the DT - www.flourishes.org/blog/
I used the same papers and main image for both cards - just reversed the 2 DP's behind the main image.
The DP is Basic Grey and the main image is colored with copics.
The main image is from Flourishes of course!! I just got this set a week or so ago.
All for today - time to take a short trip, teaching my DD how to drive stick shift.
